I've been using Penrite SYN 5 for a while now. The engine certainly runs smoother, but a nasty 'tappet' sound has developed when I start it cold every morning that drives me crazy. When it goes in for service soon I'll see if their standard sh*t oil they put in removes it. If it doesn't it's staying there.
  2. On my way home from work
  3. Its loud yeah, but not super loud. Bass needs air to travel to gain volume and the small cabin of a ute isn't the best for that. If I had more SPL orienteered speakers and enclosure it would make a huge difference but.
  4. Twin 12" RF subs. Enclosures are too small for boomy bass, but excellent for double kick SQ bass.
  5. I had some splits and subs running off a Stinger LOC and it sounded ok. Then I got an Eclipse deck fitted and it sounds a LOT better. It depends on how much you appreciate your car audio. For me it was worth it.
  6. Man that sucks... hope the red beast is back on the road by the end of the week mate!
  7. pfft who buys em for the base tunes... for an extra $500 youll cream any production line HSV out there fool ← At the time all I wanted was the base tune. Is that ok? It was flashed at my dealership, had about 12 dyno runs while there, a printout was given to me with a f*cked looking curve and it had a total of 223 rwkw. Standard was 208rwkw. It was deemed my Stealth was faulty, and after promises from Rod Herrod himself would send me a new Stealth that same day, 2 weeks later it had still not arrived. 6 weeks later with no replacement Stealth I got my refund no questions asked from my dealership. Thanks for the tip too.
  8. Awesome amps mate, I have the same I have a PDX 4.150 which retails for $899 4x150w RMS at 2ohm or 4ohm or 2x300w Also got a PDX 1.1000 which retails at $1199 (I think) 1000w RMS at 2ohm or 4ohm They're very small for amps of that size, and they're better than the V12's. They also come in 2x150w Highly recommended.
  9. Check this out, turbo Mustang. One hell of a big snail!
  10. I had one of these last year. The base tunes were rubbish, I got a refund.

Yes I put it in my F6. Great stuff - haven't lost a drop, pressure is always up there and it looks very clean still.
  12. Image Dynamics stuff is very hard to find now... they have a parts shortage atm :/
  13. OK Mate, I have put this together from the same retailer. FHRX Studios is a guy in the eastern states who builds awesome systems and is a distributor of some quality gear. Monoblock Crossfire VR1000D (1 x 1000 watts @ 1 ohms) $881 (RRP$979) or Vibe Monobox MB3 (1 x 400 @ 4ohm / 1 x 600 @ 2ohm) $741 (RRP$824) Subs Image Dynamics ID12V.3 12" Subwoofer $349 or Crossfire BMF1228 12" Sub 375W RMS $369 or Digital Designs DD2012 600W RMS $299 Coaxials Phoenix Gold 5x7 R57.0 $229 or Oz Audio 5x7 V5X7x3 $229 or Focal 570CV1 5x7 $259 All of that is quality gear. If it was me, I'd get the Vibe amp, Image Dynamic subs (2ohm) and 2 sets of Focal speakers.
  14. Who gives a stuff about losing the steering wheel controls... it was always too slow to change volume anyway Not to mention the loud BEEP that gave me the sh*ts. I really think you should look beyond Fusion gear - it's cheap for a reason. And I dont think your subs will be demanding enough juice to warrant a cap.
  15. I use Penrite SIN 5 (5W - 60) in my F6 Tornado and it's great. Oil Pressure is quite constant - very happy with it.
  16. Aaah I didnt think it was 1ohm stable. Mate, go to Alberts Myaree - top blokes there.
  17. Ive had my subs for about 6 months, but because Ive been concentrating on performance upgrades they've only had about 1 months use They're rated at 200W RMS, Single Voice Coil 4ohm That fusion amp you're looking at will only deliver 125w to those 2 fusion subs at 12.6v Because they're Dual Voice Coil subs they'll have to be wired in parallel, drawing on a 4ohm load, and that Fusion amp only delivers 250w at 4ohm @ 12.6v. As mine are SVC, with that amp they'll draw a 2ohm load giving the subs they're rate 200W each
  18. I have a pair of 12" Rockford Fosgate subs http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/pr...09&locale=en_US I'll have a 600w Phoenix Gold amp for sale soon also
  19. XXX have you found any subs yet? Im thinking of selling mine, along with my amp & LOC if you're interested
  20. I had a new pair of splits and a 2x 12" subs fitted into my ute using a Stinger LOC and it sounded good. A small amount of cutting was required to fit the 6.5" midbass into the door, but nothing dramatic. Soundwise it was good, but I recently fitted an aftermarket headunit and it now sounds much better. I have my Stinger LOC2 for sale, along with some amps soon if you're interested?
  21. Very nice mate
