  1. Got some new wheels, they didn't clear the brembos even though the dealer guaranteed they would. Anyway all sorted at st George tyres with a good deal on a set of 18" XXR 550s. Fronts 8.75 +36 with 255/40r18 rears 9.75 +36 with 295/35r18. Nice wider track, surprised how well the invos grip even as a new (under 500km) tyre. Could still fit an 11" wide with 325 in the rear pretty easily I think. Also tidied the engine bay up a bit, moved the catch can under the intake manifold and fitted new lines and fittings. Then used the old catch can bracket to fit a new overflow tank.
  2. Got another set that actually fit and fitted them [emoji106]
  3. Got new wheels. Moved catch can under intake manifold and fitted new fitting and lines (Mack247 4000 series). Added a new overflow tank where catch can used to sit. Adjusted & greased caltracs.
  4. So it turns out that the versus raceforge2 18x9 +35 doesn't clear brembos up front even though a few places advertise them as brembo compatible. So I got a set of XXR550s, 8.75 +36 & 9.75 +36 with 255/40r18 & 295/35r18. Clears brembos and has decent fit on the fg ute, no guard work needed. Pics after AFD tomorrow.
  5. Finding out that wheels that are supposed to clear brembos don't after you've bought them.
  6. Lol kimbo wtf. Wmmfg new wheels arrived, feather weight compared to the stockers. Versus Raceforge2 18x9 & 18x10, no pics cos phone camera broke.
  7. Is the rear end lose somewhere? Loose u bolts letting the axle tramp away from the spring? Does sound like a metallic tramping sort of noise.
  8. Generally they have a higher restriction than air to air coolers. Once the water/coolant gets hot it stays that way for a fair while. Good for saving space and reducing pipework but there's a fair bit extra needed, water pump and radiator/fan etc. Not the most affordable option when done properly.
  9. Looking at a set of 18's for my ute ATM. Fronts are 18x9 +35 Rears at 18x10 +38 Definitely going to get them but I'm hoping to fit 255/40R18 for the fronts and 295/35R18 for the rears. Any ideas on how the front will fit up? Looks like it'll be close to the upright going by will they fit.
  10. Depends more on wheel design of the wheel.
  11. Come on k31th. If Phill can make his instructables at midnight you can write up a thread. Or do we need to organise a "cruise 4 k31th" to get this thing moving.
  12. Probably are locking the rears, get some brembos up front already.
  13. Pork roll 4tw. Get on it stripes tastes decent and if your lucky you get a free detox that can last days........

    Help Please?

Looks like the fuel purge solenoid hose. GOTIM
  15. Thought I was having a good run with the ute, getting a fair few thing done that I've wanted to. Car starts vibrating more than usual. Had a look and the farkin bolt has sheared off the passenger side mount. Anyone know the best place to get the engine mount that bolts to the engine? Its damaged the thread and hole where the bolt has snapped.
  16. Have you got the reverse eye spring or something? Or do ya drive like an old Fark?
  17. Nice. Will see how the $$$ are after Christmas.
  18. Yea I get they stop tramp but do they help push the axle down like the caltracs do?
  19. The Calvert racing caltracs are $600 or just under posted from Race car engineering. They do a great job but they are pretty harsh as they use a solid alloy bush for the front of the leaf. Been trying to get onto Cat600 for one of the nolethane style bushes he makes for them but haven't had any luck. I've got no issues with them being under the leaf, I don't really want to lower it (maybe 20mm lower in the rear at most). There's too many sharp ramps (carparks etc) that the chassis nearly scrapes on to make it worth lowering. Practical height 4TW.
  20. Lol I reckon they're pretty average, I'm on my 4th ATM. Had one wig out and start doing the matrix across the screen. No questions asked when I get them replaced under warranty at rebel.
  21. Had surge issues because the pumps started to go. Bellend how does the malwood tramp kit go? Is it a bushed setup and does it help with separation in the back end? Love how the caltracs cause separation when under power, feels like it wants to keep on going whereas it used to either tramp or spin the tyres.
