  1. 3 & 4 are the worst on the FG manifold, it's the most turbulent area.
  2. Sounds good, much better than the 12:1 of the LPI. So was it the head gasket?
  3. Boost withdrawal. Forgot that ceramic coating adds 7-10 days to manifold delivery. Lesson learnt, don't pull car apart until new parts arrive.
  4. Should have bought a ute Stripes Throw in a 5 link and happy days, handles sweet.
  5. So if CJF is God does that mean keif is now jebus?
  6. I can't say if it's improved traction by much (would need r spec tyres for that) but it has 100% stopped tramp and improved handling in a big way.
  7. I bet that if you had it tuned you'd have been working OT to pay for it instead of getting booked speeding haha
  8. Worth it if your keeping the ute IMHO. Holds more through corners and doesn't tramp. One thing to keep in mind is I have it set as high as it goes. You'd have to order taller shocks to get any more height out of it.
  9. $4300 Add a day or so if your fitting it yourself or a days labour to fit it.
  10. May be doable in a day with a mate or 2 but its a big job if you haven't done it before. Pulling the dump, turbo and manifold off took me a few hours, you've still got the intake manifold, coils, plugs and rocker to come off before you even start on the head. Can you garage it until you get the box done at CMS? Get it trucked down there and have it all done at once if you can, $$ wise its probably the best move.
  11. So I've gone and ordered a ceramic coated 6 Boost factory position low mount manifold, it should arrive this week. Got the dump, turbo and manifold out eventually. Stripped a few nuts and bolts but got them out after heating them and using a smaller socket. Looks like this at the moment Should look something like this soon Plan is to heat wrap the dump and manifold and use turbo beanie to keep temps down. As for the water line I have ordered some 1/2" to -8 hard line adaptors with -8 teflon braid and hose ends to suit. I haven't seen any pics of anyone using the hard line adapters for the water line so hopefully it all goes together. Also ordered a stud kit for the manifold, turbo and dump. If there is anything else I should be looking at to get it all together any input is appreciated.
  12. If your not touching e85, then leave the pump gears. Stock turbo won't push it that far. Pump gears should be fine unless you try to hurt it.
  13. Nice. I like how you sorted all the BA weak spots in one go. F6 motor and T56, can't go wrong.
  14. ^^^ That FG XR has brembos. Get it.
  15. It's done with the engine in the car. Takes a few hours though.
  16. Get the XR ute, clean and low kms. The extra 10k gets a 5 link and decent coilovers up front (if they aren't already). You'll still have ~4k for power mods.
  17. The question is more like when are you going to smash the limiter. Spool gears are only $400ish anyway, fitting isn't much more. For peace of mind it's worth it.
  18. HTA3794 do it Matty, you know you want to.
