  1. Nice idea. The current rears sit a fair bit inside the top of the guards, they clear the inner guard that is folded in 20 or so mm from the outside. Then again there's bound to be better offsets out there, could move 25mm in and would still have enough clearance for lateral axle movement due to the pan hard bar.
  2. 38. AS,GTGGMN Aw sheeet, guess there gonna get mcmerged now.
  3. Was just going by design, they're the same rim just different barrels from what rota said. Not too many affordable 18x12 wheels to choose from unfortunately.
  4. Not in a rush to get new wheels, just throwing an idea out there. If anyone knows what can be done guard wise on the FG or even better the FG Utes that would help. Looking at rota P45R3 rears and P45R2 fronts if they clear brembos. Rear 18x12 +20 with 335/30r18 Old v new Front 18x10 +12 with 285/35r18 Old v new
  5. Nothing too fancy but I got some new pads and brake fluid. Ferodo DS2500s for the front and DS performance for the rears, with AP 5.1 fluid. Great dealing with Matt @ Race Brakes Sydney. I ordered them in the morning, he had to order them in and then stayed back in the arvo for me to pick them up.
  6. [emoji4] muknid riaf Fark Mondays.
  7. Should spool faster but can limit top end power.
  8. The off topic/let it all out thread? So@Rab, your heading to the Katoomba cruise to sort out the Bathurst cruise yea?
  9. Aren't they rated to 650hp? Cant see that rating being on 98. GTX3582, PT6235 would do it. Would be more like $2500 though.
  10. Better safe than sorry. I got a red one from autobarn for $20. Sprayed it black and happy days.
  11. @turbotrana Sounds like a TPS or throttle issue. The throttle blade may be slightly loose and jamming in the body. TPS itself may be shot as well.
  12. Fitted some taller rear shocks and raised the ute all around. Drives and steers better. Best thing is it can go over a speed bump at more than 1.5km now. Also moved the rear brake line for exhaust clearance. It's booked in to have the exhaust redone on friday, hopefully there's enough time to have the 4" cutout valve fitted.
  13. And fitting new shocks haha
  14. Try the 295s on the cruise mate.
  15. But think of the fat skids haha. The utes are heavier than the sedans and the way it transfers weight to the rear I'm sure bigger tyres = better. The only issue I'll have is that the axle moves across when the shocks bog down due to the pan hard bar. Moving inwards for wider rears as far as possible would be the best way to avoid this.
  16. Yea, 295/35r18 rear and 255/40r18 on the front. Front is no more than 5mm from the upper arm so can go in any further or higher (taller tyres etc) Rears could go another 10-20mm out if I get the guards rolled, could easily go 50-60mm inwards. Finding anything wider than what I have with a similar rolling diameter is the issue. Nitto make a 335/30r19 but it's 40mm or so up in diameter and fitting a taller tyre up front to match won't really be possible (needs to be done to keep the TC/ABS happy).
  17. Cheers Ralph. It's a farken money pit now that's for sure. Is there anyone else out there that has gone properly wide with rims and tyres? I'd like to go 335 on the rears and 295 fronts, can't see the front really being possible without major guard work. Would be bitchin if it happens though.
  18. Sounds like you've got the tog 4" system. It's a copy if the nizpro system. I'm not sure if the tog system comes with the trans bracket but you might need one. The twin cats are pretty wide and can bump against the chassis rail when cornering as the engine mounts flex a bit. The bracket bolts to the trans mount and hooks and exhaust hanger across just behind the cat to stop it swinging.
  19. I'll bring it to the cruise, cheap. It's a proflow can but needs a filter.
  20. I've got a -12 vented catch can sitting in the shed if you want it.
  21. Haha sounds like the toxic xr6 turbo.
