  1. Ferodo DS2500 do the job well for street duties, very dusty though.
  2. Pulled out all the creme pillar trims yesterday arvo, roof lining will come out this arvo. Gonna spray it all black with some fancy matt black dupicolor interior spray. Cheap mods 4TW, $22 for 2 cans at supercheap.
  3. Pics already. You could fit a 315, fatter looks better on the back of a ute.
  4. If your gonna upgrade front brakes from 4 to 6 piston brembos are the lines the same? Found a set but they have no lines with them.
  5. Is anyone interested in getting a group together for All Ford Day? Its on July 30th at eastern creek.
  6. Haha I agree Matty. The engineers and designers did a great job with a lot of things with the FG. Fitting fat wheels on the ute is ridiculously easy.
  7. Hood vents should have been included from factory with these things, under bonnet temps are rediculous.
  8. Drill the spot welds out then bend the sheet up and cut away. Or just drill out all the spot welds. I fitted nutserts all around the tub frame under the sheet so its a quick job for next time.
  9. ^^^ Whs, pulling the the liner out and drilling out a few spot welds is the easiest way if you don't have a hoist.
  10. Come on k31th mine will be a manual before yours is sorted. More importantly when is the vin job happening?
  11. Just a wee bit of poke....... Fronts will be right once rolled and camber is sorted. The rear rims sit flush with the guard but the pirrellis are pretty wide and I don't want to have the stretched look. I'll probably sort a b series axle to fix that, cant see the guards pumping out that much.
  12. I used some liquid telfon sealant, speed shops sell it. As for not drilling the hole, look inside the banjo fitting they have alot of room open in them to allow flow from all around. You can't guarantee the hole will line up with the line end of the banjo anyway.
  13. Pretty sure its been done with a VE a few years back, can't find anything on it atm.
  14. Those rears would go pretty close to fitting k31th, its a ute remember. Might need a slight roll or trim of the guards turned in lip.
  15. Would have been nice if APS was still around, or if other companies went as far as they did. They had a smaller condenser kit for the B series that was a bolt up job that allowed fitting bigger coolers without bending things.
  16. Fronts a 245/40 or a 255/40 on 18x9+25 will fit. Shouldn't need guard work unless your stupid low. Rears a 285/35 or 295/35 on 18x10+35 would be as flush as you can go without rolling or trimming the guards turned in lip. Speedo will be around 1-1.7% out with those sizes according to the interwebs.
  17. So I've had to hold of on the wheels for a bit. Had some tools knocked off from site a few weeks back, so everything's slowed up a bit for now. Hopefully I'll be having the tyres fitted on the weekend but won't have time to sort the guards or camber brackets out for a few weeks at least. Next up before the guard work is a manual conversion. I have lined up a compete manual conversion from a low km hail damaged FG Mk2 ute and will be having that all fitted in 2 or so weeks. At this stage I know the rear guards will need a heap of work to fit the new wheels and tyres so if there's room to move them inwards I'll sort out a B series axle as they're around 50mm narrower than the FG axle.
  18. The profile is a percentage of tyre width, rears are wider so the 275/35 is a similar diameter to the 245/40.
  19. I know Process West supply a blanking plug when you get their kits to suit the factory rail.
  20. I'd go 255 front so there's less diff from front to rear. They will fit front and rear. Going from my wheels as a comparison they won't foul on bodywork or suspension. Doesn't leave you room for bigger brakes though. I have 18x8.75 +36 fronts (255/40r18) and 18x9.75 +36 (295/35r18) rears. From willtheyfit.com as a comparison.
  21. I'd get the F6 if $$ permits. Would go an XR6T if your going to modify it. As well as they go down the 1/4 they can be set up to hit the circuit of you want.
  22. Same here k31th. Put the battery on charge then nope CBF with it any more.
  23. Safebrake on eBay is probably the cheapest. Haven't had a problem with mine. There's also race brakes Sydney who does them.
