  1. No way you'll make any money out of returning to stock. Your not far enough into it to make that a worthwhile option. Keep the ute man. Save where you can working on the house yourself. Not the hardest thing to do with a trade background. I get it's not an enjoyable task but when you can do it properly and yourself why not. Just don't be like me fixing my AC, things an absolute bitsa, still works like a champ though lol.
  2. @camo86T Has used the mantic, may have some feedback on it. I'm sure the Xtreme is a cheaper option though. Pretty happy with my twin plate ceramic but that wouldn't be what your after, they do a twin plate organic which may suit depending how you drive it.
  3. How sh*t do normal tyres look on FGs, seen a few around today. Pretty funny in the utes, needs 295+.
  4. Why not tap the end of the thermostat housing. B series have it plum back to the header tank, FG on have the provision there but it's blank.
  5. Screwed up twice today, good thing the utes not a daily, kinda funny though. Wash the ute, oh great idea I'll degrease the engine bay.. Mixed it too strong and the paint on the rocker cover starts to come off. Righto I'll respray it. 1.5hrs later it's on and all done. Move the ute and there's an oil patch. Fark, went and pinched the rocker gasket. Brilliant Sunday lol.
  6. Nah. Did a dumb last year after a cruise and got done 35 over, got lucky and it was reduced to 5 weeks back then. This time got done for points accumulated, lasted 7 months with 1 point then done a few ks over. Fun times.... At least the pushbike got me fit again.
  7. No progress on the ute for the last while, until today anyway. Got my license back yesterday. Was lucky enough to be able to get Chris from Mobile Custom Fabrications to come over and sort out new cooler piping. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Left the silicone elbow on the little GTX as I plan on upgrading that later this year, no point wasting a plazmaclamp on it.
  8. 3* neg. East coast suspension have the jig to do it. I'll pm pics.
  9. Apparently. Hilux felt quick this arvo, xr is gonna be mental all over again once the new cooler pipes are together tomorrow.
  10. 285 fronts or gtfo 285 all round is sweet.
  11. Last day of push bike Weeeeee Day off to get the ute together tomorrow. Happy days.
  12. 2 days left till I get my license back. Bikes back tyre decides to blow out on the way to work this morning. Good fun walking the next 5kms.
  13. Sick of my ute being in peices, decided cooler pipes are getting done properly this time. Picked up a set of 3" plazmaclamps to go with the turbosmart 50mm BOVs. Getting the new cooler piping fabbed up later this week. Hopefully turns out kinda like this but 3" not 3.5".
  14. Love your work man. Did you have any issues with the different rolling diameter of the tyres?
  15. Was gonna say the new plazmaman plenum has a lower map port.
  16. Worked a long week last week (63hrs). Came home today to find a set of those drl headlights and led tail lights at the door. Dont remember ordering them but car parts are always good. Apparently too much work and not much beer = eBay nonsense.
  17. It does make a difference. Its a tight fit with my Tig 1800hp cooler and Fenix 32mm radiator. Was still tight when I had a Process West stage 3 cooler and Fenix 42mm alloy rad. The problem comes down to the AC condenser and the power steering cooler. Relocating the power steering cooler could be done fairly easily but the AC condenser isn't going to be as simple.
  18. Been hooked on a few decent craft beers that the local has. Quite like the "Former Tennant" and "Sonic Prayer" from Modus Operandi. Also rate Dainton's Red Eye Rye and Batch brewing co's IIPA. Now onto the next overpriced 6 pack.
  19. A work mate sold his R8 ute and got a 2017 GXL 79 series LandCruiser with all the bells and whistles at a decent price second hand. I miss boost and want a LandCruiser now.
  20. Shockworks are soft as, surprised not many think so.
