  1. What k31th said about the wiring. I changed to a manual harness as with my conversion and the lockout had to be added. As for pricing, wreckers were around the 6k mark for a complete drive line swap with all the interior gear and hydraulic setups. Or if your after a magnum, they're just under 6k at the moment for the box alone from Mal Wood. Where are you located? I've got a tr6060 and bell housing I'd swap for a few cartons. Not gonna post it though.
  2. I'll stick with the possibility of getting my ute together this week. That sh*ts been unlucky.
  3. Bird flew over head and shat in me coffee this morning. Füçk Missus pissed herself laughing. Cafe is licenced, went in and got a beer. Good solution I reckon.
  4. That's piss poor on the insurers part. I'm a *beep* with insurers for that reason when it comes to claims. Only do it if it is completely necessary and if it is I don't leave the car alone with them. Bloody grubs.
  5. Bizkarnt Your füçking excellent Genius
  6. 4 weeks without boost. Mates ranger felt quick lol. Bring on next weekend cos the ute will be sorted by then.
  7. New flywheel and intermediate plate will be sent out early next week. He won't have a flywheel till Monday.
  8. Yep, only suits the b series fly. Mal's gonna sort it out.
  9. I like that idea. But I still want the SFI job so I dunno what the fix is gonna be.
  10. Nearly kicked it off the jack stands. Tried to fit an SFI made to suit Barra bell housing. Carnt didn't clear the flywheel. You gotta be kidding me you caaaarrrnt. I <3 Bananas K bye
  11. Not even farking possible. The bell housing kit comes with a thicker engine plate which is fitted behind the already bolted up clutch. I <3 Bananas this. Try and do it all the right way and nope, you can just fark off. Will see how Mr wood sees the whole deal before I go to a machine shop and have it gusseted on the outer rim then get the inside machined out. Bloody joke. They state over the phone that they mock everything up so no measurements are needed for CSC etc. Its a magnum job so they'll cover all bases. Certainly farking believe that now hey.
  12. Interesting fact. The quicktime SFI rated bell housing sold for the Barra, costing $1k on a discount. Does not even got around a factory spec I <3 Bananasing flywheel ring gear. I <3 Bananasing good design that is. I <3 Bananasing pelicans.
  13. Lol at the name changes. Funny kents
  14. Had a bit of a hold up with the install. The ace clutch comes drilled for different dowels than the atomic crank dowel setup I have. Anyway, got a cheap motor to bolt up the fly wheel and the jig to drill it. Got the clutch in and will get the rest of the kit installed tomorrow arvo. Very keen to put some KMs on it this weekend.
  15. What happened to phil? Had a decent go that bloke.
  16. 100% mate. Wrecker will do a motor that they're going to scrap for $50. That'll do on Tuesday arvo if I can't find one between now and then. Just keen to use work travel to get it run in before a decent tune to lean on it. Only knocks me back a few days at worst.
  17. I'll make it better, I'll offload the used tr6060 if anyone who can help wants it.
  18. So Anyone in sydney got a Barra lying around, even a crank? Got a garage full of top parts but can't fit them because the Mal wood clutch comes with dowel holes that don't line up with the atomic dowel pins. So now I've gotta bolt the flywheel up to a crank without dowels, with the not so fancy atomic jig to drill the new flywheel. Of course this happens on the long weekend. Very clever oversight.
  19. Hahahaha Goeer makes the forum go round. Go get him stripes haha
  20. Might get lucky, pick n payless aren't far off. Looks like the have a few Barras on the shelf that I might be able to get onto tomorrow, open Sunday apparently.
  21. Fark Mal woods clutch comes pre drilled for his spec dowels. The don't quite match the atomic dowels but can be machined or drilled with the atomic jig. Already have dowel pins in crank from previous clutch at atomic spec. They're interference fit so ain't coming out. Looks like I'm waiting til Tuesday to swing by the wreckers and "borrow" a taxi motor to use with the atomic jig and sort the new flywheel. Fun stuff. Anyone got a motor sitting around I can borrow tomorrow?
  22. That's the plan hey, Originally went with the Xtreme twin plate kit. Brilliant clutch for what it's intended, grips hard, race car noise and feel and if that's what your after its brilliant, can't fault it. But after driving a car with the option 5 I wanted one, so quiet. Missus likes the ute but not the clutch so compromised. Perfect timing I reckon, Xtreme dies at no fault of its own then a brilliant opportunity to upgrade the lot.
  23. Only sh*tty part is I didn't get the adaptor to suit a hurst shift handle by the looks of it the Mal's shifter suits the stock handle. I'll either re use my "core" short shifter or sort a bit of stock and drill it out tomorrow. Don't want no rubber stuff in between, solid shifter is a better shifter.
  24. The goodies arrived just in time for the long weekend, bloody ripper. All from Mal Wood Automotive. Option 5 Clutch QA1 SFI rated bell housing T56 Magnum New CSC, flywheel bolts, news clutch feed lines, 16mm master to suit the twin plate better than a factory spec 19mm master. Going by the el cheapo calipers I have the magnum input shaft is approx 4mm thicker than the tr6060 so that's a decent upgrade. The casing looks a heap better/thicker all around aswell. New bell housing is a bit slimmer than the factory part too, will make the solid mount install a bit easier.
  25. I'd be refreshing it every 100-150k if it's leant on a fair bit. Bearings, gaskets, timing gear worth checking too.
