I know some blokes that have changed their diff gears in ford xr8 utes and have had great results a the calder drags. and one of them has run a 12.69 pass unopen motor. So maybe diff gear have some advantages. All I'm looking at is other options to make these things go harder of the line. and yes my is a manual 6 speed cheers

Hi everyone I've done a bit of searching but unable to find any info or feedback with changing the diff gears. I believe the xr6t auto runs 3.4 diff gear and the manuals about 3.7. I'm considering changing my diff gears to 4.11's. This I believe will give better acceleration of the line but you lose abit of top end. I know that you are able to recalibrate the speedo with the edit once changed. Just what to know if anyone has gone down this path or is considering it. Did they notice a difference? Your feedback would be appricated cheers

Everyone has raised valuable points HPF and Nizpro offer excellent service, I actual rang both tuners to fit injectors, valve springs, edit and tune and in all honestly their was only a $50.00 differnce and one wanted the car for two days and the other for one. At the end of the day you need to trust your tuner and get feedback. As Geea (Craig) once said get the parts yourself do the research and fine the best tuner to do the work for you. You don't have to buy the packages they sell. They both have delivered great results and still do. The funny thing is they will all make your car faster more powerfull it just depend on how deep your pockets are. As long as we are all have the need for speed, the more people switching to the T and moding their cars prices will always come done its only a matter of time. Just remember it took the VL turbo 18 odd years to get to the in the 8's just give it a couple more years and you will see the T there as well so let the tuners do there thing and lets all be proud of the Model T. Don't forget the T has put out over 1250hp and we all know who built that!! cheers George

Hi mate, I had the same problem, Jack up your ute and just get some silcon spray in the leaf springs open the leaf with a pinch bar and spray the sh*t out of it, this will get rid of the squeaky sound, also tighten up your d clap bolts. This will sort it out straigh away cheers George

Hi everyone, your thoughs and feedback would be appricated. I've been doing a bit of research on here for a while, I've read how good the 968's are but interested about the typhoon injectors, what are the spec's, flow rates etc, on these are the similar to the 968's what rwkw's are they good for. These maybe could be a cheaper alternative for the masses out there who are considering this mod. Does anyone know of a part number? What make are they motorcraft product or bosch if so what part number. Are they a straigth swap over as the 968's? I'm in the process of organising an edit, injectors and valve springs. So I'm tring to find out the best injector option as the best price I could get for the 968's were about $125 each, One other question nizpro offer valve spring option, the other option is valve spring from the ba v8 are they valve springs from the 220kw v8 donk or the xr8 donk, and what are the differences between nizpro springs and ba option. cheers George

Does anyone know were to get the exhaust mod done over in Melbourne? I have also been thinking of replacing the cat to free flowing one? Can you just replace the cat? or do you have to replace part of the exhaust as well? cheers George

Ford QC seems to be very average, Very strange I had a standard BA 6 and upgraded to the T never had any prob's with my previous car

Just got xr6t Ute very happy until the following happened. I started the car this morning and it started making a clunking metal sound, then it sounded like lifters making a sound like pumping oil, it did this for about 5 minutes until I touch the gas pedal. The sound seem to go away, Then the diff started to clunk. I had heard about the diff but the engine making this sound. • Motor sound • Scratched dash prior delivery • Rear tray Ute skewed to the right. You can slide your hand between the tray and the cab chassis on one side and on the other side lucky to get the tip of your fingers in. • Right side of rear bumper bar out by about 1.5 cm other side sits flush Front bonnet .3mm gap on one side the other about 1.2cm • Passenger side door strip bubbles under the paint could be the surface was contaminated when it was painted Your feedback would be appreciated. I sold my xr6n/a only issues where the brakes and tyres no other issues, about to take delivery of xr6t ute Wednesday so I would have to say yes I would by again
