  1. Hey Barnz, thanks for comment! Sorry for the delay... only took me 14months to reply. The car has been built to be powerful, comfortable and reliable. Once complete I plan to drive the car a couple of times a week, but it won't be my daily. It will make an appearances at shows, cruises and definitely at the track (mainly quarter mile). I hope it'll do a high 10sec quarter but we'll wait and see! The car will certainly be enjoyed, and I promise it won't be kept under a blanket all its life :-) I hope to get it back from the painters in June so I can begin putting it back together.
  2. Panel work has now started at Auto Passion 7 images updated on my build site here.
  3. Some new pics; * Seat belt points in * Radiator/intercooler and AC condensor in * Intercooler Piping complete * Center Console test fitted and modified slightly More info at www.boostedford.com
  4. Center console now has sides and internal mounting points welded into place. Full details at www.boostedford.com Rob
  5. Full stainless exhaust now complete. Single dump from turbo then twin system through GT Valance.
  6. Visit my build site www.boostedford.com where I'm putting a turbo 6 and ZF into a 1966 Mustang. Under table of contents page go to Ecu/wiring. This explains what I did to get it running with contacts of who I used. Rob
  7. So the laser cutting went to plan! AG Holding did a great job in Braeside Vic. It's coming together well! Small square plates will be welded to the underside of the console at a certain offset to the edge. These will then be tapped and allow me to bolt on the sides easily. I will provide an update as things progress further.
  8. Steve from Killa Kustom Kables did my harness. I sent up the full looms and he deleted all redundant wiring. It came back with fuses, relays and only a few wires to connect. I was very impressed.
  9. Decided to change the materials used for the center console moving towards a 4mm folded aluminium sheet. Took a lot of learnings from the polycarbonate mockup, so this was still a worth while exercise. I have designed the entire console in TurboCad and its currently getting laser cut and folded. Once complete it will be wrapped in leather and then two sides put on. Here is the PDF file for reference. I will upload images once I get it back. Centre Console Steel Centre Final.PDF

  15. Actual engine and gearbox now fitted! It's starting to take shape. Oil sump is being modified and tail-shaft should be done in the next week or so. I will keep updating pics on boostedford.com but added a couple of pics here also. Rob
  16. Tunnel is now finished and shifter mount complete. Update can be seen at http://www.boostedford.com Workshop will begin to mount the handbrake, fuelpump & fuel filter next week. I'll provide an update when these are complete.
  17. I think I'll take it down to Nizpro for the tuning. I have had initial discussions with them, and from what I hear they have a good reputation. Aim is to get 350rwkw on the standard turbo.
  18. The FG wiring loom was modified to be a stand alone setup by killa kustom kables. This included all wires to go to gearbox and electronic accelerator. Steve who did the work said that all I needed to do to get the gearbox to work was to use the Hall effect sensor he supplied. This would tell the ECU what speed the car was travelling and then the gearbox can work out the shifting points from there. It also needed an 8 tooth trigger wheel attached to the diff or gearbox output for the sensor to read. The ECU also needs to be flashed and recalibrated to suit the sensor. Bullet Performance Racing did this for me. I will use the same shifter in the car, but it will be stripped back and incorporated into a custom centre console. So just the sensor, trigger wheel, calibration and shifter. Hope this helps. Rob
  19. Hi all, I am now about 75% through my project of fitting late model running gear into a 1966 Mustang Coupe. Engine: Ford Barra 270t Gearbox: ZF 6 speed To share my progress along the way I have built a website to capture it all. It will be updated as the project continues. If anyone has questions I am happy to answer them. Hopefully the site will give some inspiration to others trying a conversion a little bit different or with the Fg setup. Engine and gearbox mounts are now complete so have a look. Site is www.boostedford.com
