a worldwide launch for PS3 doesnt include Australia, its japan and north america only in november with europe shortly after, we wont see it till around march 2007. Microsoft did a worldwide launch with the 360 as well, and we are still waiting. The PS3 also has a build price of over US$600, I dont think they can sustain a loss per console of US$200+ without charging a big price for the games, ther 3rd party 360 games are anywhere from $109-$129 each and microsoft are only seeing a loss of US$125 per console at the moment, factor in the higher media costs of blueray and the extra development time and money needed to program for the PS3 with its fancy but hard to use new processor and games are going to cost upwards of $150 each. Reports are also circulating that the PS3 wont ship with the 60gb HDD that's required to play games, so if you dont buy it at the time you get your console at a huge premium (close to $200 if you use the 360's HDD as a guide) then you cant play your new games on it, only your old ps2/ps1 games, so the PS3 isnt going to be cheap. Dazza.
