A lot of these reports would also be written by jurno's who drive a lot of performance cars that outprice the xr6t by double. I am sure that there is a direct comparison drawn to these other much more expensive cars in the performance bracket in regards to gear shift quality. Us general public would probably not notice a poor shift quality as much, if these reports hadnt been written.

Has anyone heard if there will be an xr6T competing in the GTP cup this year, if yes what class does it run in and what is the main competition to it in that class.

Insured through RACQ in queensland, no worries with the under 25 thing. I am 24, my fiance is only 20 and she is also on the policy as a nominated driver, that did jack the price up a bit though. Quoted $880 per year, live in country just outside toowoomba. Huge excesses though due to our poor driving history.

This may be a stupid question but I dont know a great deal in exhaust upgrade benefits. I want to upgrage the exhaust but I dont want to make the car any louder, or only a minor rise in the exhaust level. Is increasing the diameter of the piping and then adding an extra resonator or muffler to quit it down going to nullify any power gains or will it still be ok.

is a 400kw upgrade for real? And can I ask why people would want to make there xr's that powerful, they would be a b**ch to drive on the road everyday.

I dont think a SV8 or SS would rev hard enough in top gear to need a speed limiter. I thought half the point of a speed limiter was to stop over reving the engine in top gear.

Naturally they wont admit fault. What dealer was it so people who may be dealing with them can be extra careful.

Has anyone tried this police mode. Does the car drive differently through the rev range, or is it just a higher top end with the speed limiter increased or disabled?

Why do you think the digital speedo function would be called police mode?? Cant they read a conventional speedo.

Wheel magazine hit the lmiter in there shootout they did. That cut in at 239km/h. possible your speedo is out a bit more or less than the one they tested. But I am sure if you gave yourself more road you will find it no worries.

For anyone interested. High performance imports magazine did a comparison on the xr6t and the twin turbo supra. The xr6t has 189kw at the wheels 9 more than the supra. Although the supra won this comparo due to less weight and a better turbo setup, I think it should answer at least half of the original question.

What warranty issues are there with lowering a new car. I did it to my pulsar when I bought that and nissan said it was all ok it wouldnt matter. Are ford the same?

Does anyone know how long after you receive your sido number your car is ready? Does it take weeks, days, months? The guys I am going through in toowoomba arnt the best at giving you information and I am in no mans land on when my car is going to be arriving.
