Hi have been thinking about joinging the saturday arvo sprints series at willowbank for road registered cars and was wondering if anyone else participates in this level of motorsport and what they think of it. I have only done a small amount of research on it so far and one question that has come up is regarding the cams licence, I am unsure if the licence required (level 2 speed) covers you for just the event or is it for 12 months. I intend to use my mazda 6 mps for the first few events and buy a set of track tyres and if I enjoy it I would like to purchase a series 1,2,3 RX7 (if rotars are permitted) and put a few grand into it to make a decent amatuer track car.

A friend of mine recently bought a VE SS, and I think it craps all over the falcon, at least the one I had anyway. Silverchris you mention 2 recalls in a month, considering how many times my POS went back I will take that.

golf GTI was on my list but I couldnt get a test drive until july, these things are in hot demand, and have a 7 month wait. I couldnt wait that long. Dazza.

I doubt they will beat an STi in a straight line, but they will do a WRX. The mazda dealer up here is also a subaru dealer and VW dealer. They all recommend the MPS over a WRX, they even showed me some video from a dealer drive day they had recently, the mps flogged the WRX around queensland raceway. Dazza.

I didnt get the leather, I am not a fan of leather you slip around in it too much, and its an extra 6k for cow and a better stereo which I dont care much about either. The car was 49k on road with an extra 12 months warranty and 4 years roadside assist, plus it has an unlimited kilometer warranty which is a massive plus for me. Mazda offered me 25k trade on my falcon which was the best offer, and the MPS was one of the cars I wanted the most so that's why it got the nod.

mazda 6 mps. Not as potent as the falcon but it still has some nice get up and go, is extremely comfortable and considering the 1200k's I do each week now is awesome on fuel. The Expensive Daewoo will soon be making way for an STI. Dazza.

Well I drive from toowoomba to brisbane everyday now as it is so the gateway I can handle. Tab - I would love to join you but the falcon is history, I sold it a month ago, you if anyone wants to buy a APS exhaust, 19" rims, and some phase 2 injectors off of me I would be happy to take your money. We have around 400k to spend if we dont sell our house in toowoomba, nice houses in manly and brighton are a little out of that range. Birkdale and Capalaba there are some really nice ones but its a little further from the airport. Or we could give up on the close to the bay/airport idea altogether anf look around forrestlake, but I am a little sketchy about living that close to inala. Dazza.

Need some help from the brissy guys, We need to shift house due to work changing and need to find another house, whats some good suburbs to look in closeish to the bay and no more than 20 minutes from the airport (on a good run if there is such a thing) south of the airport would be better due to work. Got my 360 and this gen is going to be awesome, PGR3 is hands down the best racing game I have ever played, followed by GP legends and then GT4. Amazing I have gotten xbox live to work over a dialup connection and PGR3 is very playable with only 4 cars in the race, any more than that and it gets a little laggy, but still playable. I have full access to the marketplace and everything. My gamertag is - turb06 if anyone wants to add me to their friends list and have a grudge match on PGR3. Dazza.

Yeah we want to build upto at least 15 propertires as assets to help toward the retirement days, I am only 27 and my wife is 23 but we have the money to start doing it now and we can live easier in the future. We are finding that to be the case also, I think we are going to have to negative gear about 33% of the loan to be able to do it, we live in toowoomba and there is still some good, 3 bedroom brick homes here for around 200k and we ahave a large uni up here, lots of asians who dont party much so it is a good strong renters market. Yes definatley something we want to be able to do, we are considering maintaing the land and gardens/landscaping ourselves as part of the lease agreement, so we give them the 24 hours notice and then rock up to mow the lawns and weed the gardens, might be able to charge a little extra rent that way also, only discussed this with the wife so far so I dont know if there is anything in the tennancy laws stating we cant. I have been told by a few people that negative gearing is bad bad bad, and you should always try and at least get enough rent to pay the loan repayments. Whats the benefit to negative gearing and not negative gearing. Dazza.

are units a better idea than houses or are they fairly equal, are corporate fees on units a hassle or just a different way of saying rates. Dazza.

The wife and I are planning to purchase a second home as an investment property, since we have never bought an investment house before I was wondering if I could get some advice people might have who have investment homes of their own.
