  1. Didn't think brass was e85 compatible is yours coated KPM or something? The Plaz surge tanks with the brass elbow on E85 the inside slowly eats away.
  2. The Process West twin pump kit struggles to get base pressure to 58.5psi at idle....I know if a few that have the reg adjusted to the minimum but still see low 60s psi wise at idle. The best way to fix this is fit a -8 return to the main tank and modify the cradle to accept the -8 braided line so its a true -8 return all the way not bottlenecks. Rail wise you will get away using the stock one this way but going to the Plazmaman item is hard to ignore with its easy fitment/removal compared to some others. As mentioned consulting tuner is the fool proof way but also as mentioned they sometimes push what gets more mark up for them not what may actually suffice.
  3. Yes mate exact same fitment as a 255 Walbro yet its E85 safe....they make a 265ltr one also. The lift pump for surge tank need not flow huge amounts no point heating up fuel more and pressurizing the surge tank beyond what's intended.
  4. What does your car run Aaron?
  5. The one you have is too big as a lift pump to start with but its not the end of the world. A DW200 would suffice and be E85 compliant if you are going to change to something better suited in a few areas..
  6. Yeah they were one of the first to get these cars tuned.....only use SCT now obviously. Smart man plenty can be learnt from him.
  7. Nah APS is in Vic(Frankston) Luis does my tuning for me and no sarcasm intended Id do a better job than that if there was Its a shame SA has lost its gun tuners to either laziness or just plain not giving a sh*t.....we had it good here for a while. I will say though I have never had a tune issue but the stories coming up are hard to ignore its obvious some have dropped the ball and are concentrating on other brands more or like I said don't care enough to work on our pride and joys.....exactly the reason I have Luis tune my car now. From what Ben has said though GW sound like they will make you happy again.
  8. APS #1
  9. Buy one ratter and get your own results as I recon even if someone did a test you would still be a sceptic.....fair comment? I believe they are around the $1400 mark with piping kit.
  10. I know for a fact they have less pressure drop Jonnys coolers. Euro4 lightweight cores are used not cheap rubbish.
  11. There are ways to set the clutch up softer in the KAAZ but agreed with better options available like the TruTrac and WaveTrac. The WaveTrac is stronger than TruTrac.
  12. Should ask them if they can setup a data log file for you it may shed allot of light on your tune. I've spoken to them a few times lately and found them to be helpful.
  13. Is the E85 data for your 1500cc spot on now Dave and not as lean? OP a set of new 60lb Dekas will suffice and if tuner has a idea will get them to work as good if not better than factory.
  14. Rip the rocker cover off, remove thermofan and then with a 22mm socket spin her around till desired marks hopefully line up.It can take up to 32 rotations to get there.
  15. Herrods will be releasing the 3 BAR map sensor soon maybe give Herrods a buzz?
  16. So you checked both one way valves not the PCV?
  17. Are the coils holding up on boost?
  18. CRG T4 exhaust manifold and twin gate setup for my 6466.
  19. Check all one way valves also mate....one on PCV and the other on purge line.
  20. A well built BTR is more than adequate for most. My stock BTR rans into the tens and 130mph so they aren't that bad.
  21. I think you went a bit potato then bloke I was just asking if you had oil sample tests done before. I'm not understanding the 5k oil change and then being cheaper in life with other things :/....you mean like toilet paper or brand of butter? Do you adhere to use by dates or just go by knowledge?
  22. Have you done oil contamination tests at said interval BJC? Not many show much protection if any left after 15k service interval. Data is the key here to choosing intervals.....no guess work look for trends in your tests....at $30 a test its great piece of mind one may be doing the right thing.
  23. Its how KPM roll....charge like wounded bulls.
  24. Cracking the gate and the 6466 spool noise its bliss!!! Zero lag this mofo
  25. Looks like a very punchy tune for 98. Good to hear of another tuner in SA getting great results with these cars.
