Walbro 460 limits. With the walbro 460 at roll racing,it was fine I think 250-300m max race length. When I went to the drags, about 3 weeks ago, the car launched well 1.6 60 ft and just after half track I felt a very light fuel surge,so I lifted straight off. Spewing really, 1.6 60ft and lifting at half to 3/4 track still rolled thru for 11.2 so not too bad. So I think the walbro 460 at the drags at that power level is not quite right. So ive removed it and put in a kpm twin pump unit the 1000hp unit. I had 1 of these in my last fg and found it good. So maybe a kpm module with the twin pumps in either 1000hp or 1500hp would do your project. Your turbo looks like it will do the job nicely. Im contemplating doing something like this to my stock f6 turbo.

On my 460 in a std ford module I got 423rwkws on e85 and 385 rwkws on 98 it will do heaps more on 98, but on e85 Joe from cms said its at its limit. Zf equipped car. The new procharge turbo looks the goods. Is it a totally new turbo or does it retain some of the original ford/garrett parts?

    Fg F6, Cms tuned

I didn't get any. The boss lady beside me, was too busy taking pics of Porsche s, Ferrari and anything else that was exotic. Great event overall, definitely recommended.

    Fg F6, Cms tuned

F6 went back into cms to check a code that had come up and to give it a run up on the dyno. Now I've put a few tanks of e85 thru it. Joe adjusted a few things, and gave it a clean bill of health and came out with a couple more killerwasps. Put down 423rwkws, which I'm pretty happy with still on the stock f6 turbo. I took it out to roll racing at Sydney Motorsport track, and had a great night handing out quite a few Barra chops. In the elimination rounds Ended up in the final 10 cars out of 140. And got beat by a 565kwat all 4wheels wrx on Hoosier radials. It's a fun event and had my missus in as a passenger the whole night, which she enjoyed. The track seemed a bit slippery for the big powered cars, my 420rwkws on 275/40/17 et radials seemed to work well.
  8. Could you pull the injectors out and get them cleaned and flowed, fairly easy and cheap process. Especially if they have done a few ks.
  9. Hi guys, back in a new for me. Fg F6, I sold my last fg xr6t mk 11. As I wanted to concentrate a little more on my rx3 project. And drove a diesel navara around for a year as my sorta daily, as I have a company vehicle. But missed the big barra rush. So here is the new kinda daily. Fg F6 bought with a few mods already done, had kings springs and bilsteins fitted, walbro 460,hard pipe kit, xforce stainless 4''dump pipe, xforce cat and an autotech 98 tune.Ive replace the front ssl kings springs for sl kings springs. And started collecting a few bits and pieces so I could get CMS to give the car a decent tune. It came with 318rwkws from autotech at Granville, the tune I thought was average and the zf tune was horrible. So first mod I did was install a large trans cooler with a fan. And take the car off to CMS to service and flush the gearbox for me with liquid moly synthetic fluid and genuine zf filters and gaskets. And bin the stock ford zf cooler.Next I fitted a pw stage 2 cooler which fitted the pipes already fitted to the car, plaz 4'' turbo side airbox and battery relocation kit,3.5'' catback xforce exhaust mated to the 4'' dump and cat,kpm e85 10 micron fuel filter and kpm modified bosch fuel reg,and lastly I fitted some xspurt 1000cc injs and Joe from CMS loaded a tune into my sct device so I could get the car from home to his shop with the 1000cc injs. So next off I dropped the car off to CMS and they fitted new valve springs with new retainers and Joe tuned the car for 98,e85 and the zf tune. Still with the stock f6 turbo,it made 385rwkws on 98 and 410rwks on e85,with the michellin sport cup 2 s spinning a bit on the dyno.Done with a peak on 17/18psi on both fuels. And the zf is now great to drive again. Firm but nice. Future mods would be a built tailshaft, and a more extensive fuel pump setup. And maybe a 66mm billet wheel for the f6 turbo. Once again,a big thanks to the CMS crew. Great work.
  10. Hey mate, I sold the car a little while back to an older Ford enthusiast. He tracked, and did some drags including 10sec passes. He has just sold it due to health reasons. He said the box was holding up perfectly. Would be a good buy. He spent money on brake upgrade and some suspension work. I've just come back to the Ford camp after driving diesel Navara for a year. Missed the Barra rush. I got an f6 this time. Back to see Joe at cms.

    Valve Springs

I have the plaz valve springs also, no problems at all. As fitted by CMS.
  12. Couple of small updates,I changed rocker cover/cam cover to one I got some -12 fittings welded on. Has dash -12 hose down to a catch can mounted down on chasis rail. All painted black and hidden away to the untrained eye. I was also keen to go back to CMS and had another pound or 2 of boost on the e85 tune,to take it up around 20psi.I booked it in with Joe and we threw it on the roller's with my new 20'' lenso's on.Joe noticed the change of wheels and said it would effect the dyno figures.Anyways on the factory 19s previously it spun up 441rwks@18psi, with the 20'' wheels it spun up 414rwkws. I was a little surprised but Joe assured me this was not unusual going to a bigger wheel setup. After Joe added 1.5psi of boost on the 20'' wheels making it around 19.5psi the car finished with 430rwkws. Happy with this about a week later I noticed Ozywalker had his process west stage 3 cooler for sale, I had always kicked myself I went plaz stage 3 not pw stage 3. So I bought the pw stage 3 and replaced the plaz for the pw stage 3.And sold the plaz stage 3 off.I brought the car back to CMS just to check the tune, with the pw stage 3 Joe had to take around 10% boost out as the pw stage 3 was so much more efficient. I was a little sceptical as I didn't want to reduced boost.Luckily Joe did and she still made 21psi off boost, after a little more fiddling joe brought it down with a peak of just on 20psi tapering to a flat 19psi,and spun up 458.6 kws at the wheels again on the larger 20'' wheels. Very impressed with the process west stage 3 cooler, much more efficient than the plaz stage 3 cooler I had previously. And as usual,a big thanks to Joe and the Cms team, the car is very impressive now.
  13. Yeah Dan, I plan to go in the next couple of weeks with a couple of mates. Bit of a grudge match, against vl turbo and procharged ls vx commodore. Both run mid to high 10s, so should be a good match up.
  14. Great work Dan, great work on the 60ft times.10.5s is moving.
  15. Great work Matt, and the CMS guys.
  16. Mine on seduce sd coloured fg mk11,20x8.5 with 245/35 and 20x10 with 275/30 will go 285 on the rear next if I keep them.
  17. Did Joe do you a stage 2? Dan.
  18. Is your zf,sorted now Dan?
  19. Have you considered, the kpm intank systems.I have the twin pump 1000hp setup, its and easy setup.Drop it in.Plug and play wiring.Comes with reg to suit also.Whisper quiet, just another option.
  20. ive used Dents r us,he is Narellan based mobile guy, alot of the car yards use.Very good and he is a ford man,his work rig is 400kw fpv ute.Dragan is his name 0419232754.
  21. Over on Australian ford forums, there seems to be quite a bit of info on them. I think shockworks is a sponsor there also.
  22. My car has just clicked 10,000kms since Joe at Cms Sydney tuned my car. I took it down the snow on the weekend on the 98ron tune, with a car load of gear and some spirited driving. The big taxi returned a 9.4lts per 100km average, and did not miss a beat.Latest mods KPM billet e85 fuel filter and 20x8.5 and 20x10 Lenso d1rs.Ive serviced the car at 5,000kms intervals with Bradd Penn semi syth oil 10/40w and genuine ford oil filters. The only issue ive had has been a code refering to a slow reading 02 sensor, the one in the dump pipe. I went to Ford to get a price $292, so I got one at the local ford wreckers of a xr6t that had done 15,000kms for $30.And the code has disappeared.Im not sure on the 20'' wheels,if I can get the ride height right they may stay. Cant wait to get the box done and turn it up a little more. Again big thanks to Joe and his team at Cms,for the tune and all the advice.
  23. Thanks guys, ill price the genuine one up.
  24. I have ssl in the rear atm and with the stock xr6 front springs it was almost the right height. Maybe a touch high at the front.I got the ssl front hoping they would give me a htg of 355mm but its 350mm. Has anybody else done the ssl hd in the front?Another option is the Bilstein front strut apparently has 3 positions where the spring can sit, middle is std top is 7mm higher and bottom position is 7mm lower. Can anyone confirm this, thanks I measure the htg later on of the back ssl.
  25. Hi guys,im getting a code po133 come up seems to be related to the o2 sensor in the dump pipe, being slow to read.Ive pulled the original one out and cleaned it once the code didn't pop back up for a month. So ill replace it,do I have to go to Ford an buy a genuine one or is it ok to buy a bosch or vdo one as sold by a few ebay sellers. Its to suit a fg xr6t mk11 2012,car has 53,000kms on it. Should the sensor last longer,or because I run e85 with an additive or the brad penn oil with a higher zinc content, maybe contaminating it?Any help or suggestions, thanks
