  1. I can't see the pic, how about anyone else? Sounds like it will be loud huh. Have you got a sound clip?
  2. Rhats cheap! allot cheaper then what I got quoted from monster torque.
  3. I can't see this at all mate, where did you take it? From what I know, a workshop will always mark up prices on parts to the RRP plus freight Plus Any labour to fit. Reason they do this is because they have to pay the employees labour while she/he is looking for your parts and ordering them. I would always think group buys, bargain prices and quality second hand parts at a good price will always outweigh a reputable tuners everyday price on parts. IMO
  4. How much did you pay for the 1000hp tail shaft?
  5. Check out" DashDAQ" they do fault codes and allot more.
  6. You can get OBD units that you can text and shut the car down. I also know a very close mate of mine that can make the car accelerate at full throttle with a simple text msg. How ever that would be illegal, and would cause other innocent road users to be in danger. The new "TILE" from apple would be great to put in your boot or under the carpet. You could also buy a very cheap iPhone and download the "find my iPhone" application place that in your car, hardwire a car charger to the ignition "on" side of the circuit. Then you can use your iPhone/iPad to locate your car any where at any time. (I have used this application while working in high risk areas of Africa and it works a treat as your wife or boss can see where you are when ever he or she wants.) Then send the OBD a text to accelerate HARD when you are travelling behind them on an open road.
  7. It won't be that simple, as pressure and flow will change over the whole rev range. You could grab yourself a Flash tuner and try tune the pump to your engine on the road, then if you still cant get it right then you'll need to modify your fuel rail reg.
  8. Or refer to the owners manual for fuse panel locations.
  9. Haha first of all I think your mate owes you a carton of top shelf spirits. There will be a fuse in the engine bay in the black box on the left hand side or in the cabin in the driver foot well just right of the steering wheel. There will also be a relay which you will find in one of these compartments, swap it with another normally open relay and if the fan works then the relay is your problem. As you heard the pop of the fuse I would check fuse panel in the cabin first.
  10. How about driveshafts? I am in dire need of one. How about anyone else? Maybe a nitrous kit?
  11. Simon at xft made 626.7 horsepower on a stage 1 built engine with factory cross over and air box. 19psi E98 tune Facebook
  12. How can it damage the engine?
  13. High mount turbo looks mint. What manifold are you using?
  14. I had a 2003 GTP. GTPX crow cams in a manual 5 speed. You need to change the clutch, I used a semi metallic. Valve springs Blue power air box Every lifter seized in my engine twice. A total of 64 lifters! I ran a 4:11 to 1 diff ratio Gas vapour injection ( cost less then my missus Mazda 3 to drive around in). I needed to change the intake manifold to a bpt Motorsport unit coz air flow to the right hand bank was less then the left. I also only ran a rear resonator with twin 3inch exhaust. The car was an animal, it would set car alarms off when idling through Perth, it bunny hoped when in traffic, it would vibrate the windows in my house and the house next to me every morning when I started it lol, it sounded better then an cammed LS1 IMO. I loved the car, but it only made just over 300rwkw. The instant throttle response at 3300rpm and above would make every day worth living day after day. The throttle response was so fast it sometimes felt like the revs would be off the clock before I mashed the accelerator pedal into the carpet. The engine would cruise at 3000rpm at 100kmhr and spent most of its life in a second gear compression lockup heading sideways into corners and second gear with the tachometer needle off the clock heading sideways out of the corner. I loved it and wish I still had it really. It put a smile on every face that was in the car. Checkout http://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/index_no_mobile_detect.htm As they were great to deal with and they know what engines we are using over here in Aus. I just got my my 410kw g6et back from xft and I think the gt was more fun, I didn't have to wait a split second for the power like I do in the g6et. In defence of the g6et, I have only driven it twice as it is my wife's daily driver, so once I get used to the power delivery I might change my mind. Hope I helped.
  15. Try and find the torque settings if your not confident mate. A slightly striped thread is not good in the back of your crank. And remember to use one dolup of the stud lock product from loctite on each flywheel bolt. I have seen flywheel s come loose and it ain't a good feeling when u realise you gotta pull the box back out.
  16. Not sure mate, it definatly sounds different, the note can become very crisp after burning the mufflers in. I personally chose a V8 style quad tip, with three mufflers in my set up. I hate the attitude cops have about modded cars so it is all sleeper from me. A loud exhaust is going to draw the wrong and very un wanted attention. IMO it will never sound like a nice V8 or have a nice rumble at idle. The barra engines are missing two cylinders and a bunch of valve overlap. Feel free to post sound clips if you have found a way to get a barra turbo six to rumble at idle as I will be keen to hear it.
  17. Haha that's funny. My missus found all my car parts under my swag and rags lol. She saw the funny side to it thankfully!
