  1. Look at a couple of dyno graphs for the 5.4 v8s. I found they don't make power down low. They feel like a rev hard engine to me , not a perfect motor for towing horse floats. A turbo 6 with a Fg turbo or a gtx3576r will give you more torque at a lower rpm I reckon.
  2. Gtx3582r is 1500 from CMS. Plus a tune and warlbro 450 in tank pump for about 220 bucks
  3. How many km on the car? Sounds like the turbo bearing has given way and therefor flogged the seal. When you change it be sure to check the turbo oil feed filter as it is very common for these to bloke up.
  4. I'm running a 4" dump twin 3.5" body cats, 3in twin to the mid muffler, then 2.5" out to the resonators. Sounds good in my opinion as its quietish and it allows me to retain the 200mm cross member that normally gets removed with big diameter single exhausts. I also have more ground clearance then I would if I had a 3.5 or 4" single exhaust.
  5. I have never driven one, the only time I see a bit of lag is from a standing start and not using the stall converter. Any other time I will drop it back a cog. However you need to consider driving style when choosing a turbo. So I do know the 82r isn't everyone's cup of tea.
  6. IMO I looked at both the 76 and 82r's and for the price we all can get an 82r through joe @CMS it wasn't worth it for me to buy a smaller turbo for a higher price. The lag feels like it is next to nothing in an 82r. In fact it gives your rear tyres a bees d!ck more of a chance to start rolling before boost turns them to smoke. Still no hope in this problem but worth it never the less. "IMO". Boost starts coming on before 2000rpm and hits full boost by 2600-2700rpm in an 82r. The 82r is so drivable in fact that I wish I bought a gtx4202r. Next question is, would you ever need 330kw under 2500rpm? Food for though maybe?
  7. Never heard of or seen this coupling you speak of.
  8. Check your owners manual for types of oil. Make sure it is an LS oil though.
  9. Plus you get this Do you get flames when accelerating or when backing off?
  10. It want give you any power, but it will allow your tuner more control over your boost pressure allowing your tyner to put more boost in. You can/will get boost creep if you don't port it. You can do it yourself if your look at some pictures on this forum first.
  11. Haha this happens all the time. Is a quote ever gospel? I have never known it to be.
  12. Orighto. Has Rob tried modifying the factory regulator?
  13. Your missus may hate the "Tsu Tsu Tsu" as you will always accelerate hard enough so you can hear it. Haha.
  14. A 4.8:1 ratio is ballsy!
  15. Mobil LS90 is a good oil. Run in procedure is a good skid lol
  16. Do you need one Aaron? And what for? Seeing as we have much the same setup I am interested. Except I run an in tank pump, and not an external surge. Are you interested in running your engine on E85?
  17. It's a ratio that you'll need to buy from a local diff or transmission shop. Your tuner will also be able to supply these gears. There not for the faint hearted mate. But there a bucket load if fun.
  18. Try "Fg 428Rwkws" sorry.
  19. You will not notice any difference. Put in a 4.11:1 if you have an auto an then hold on.
  20. Check out a dyno graph posted by murdoc in "Fg 428Rwks" thread. It shows you the difference it made to his car when he put the exhaust on.

Good power mate. I got the same setup as you without a built box and I have a dyno graph that reads 381wkw. Tunes by XFT
  22. ____^__ plenty of air out there aswell.
  23. Not sure mate, however you can buy capacitors from jay car for very cheap. Try moving the switches around and see if the problem moves to a different window. If the problem does move then I imagine you could replace the dodgy switch.
  24. ^^^ what he said.
  25. I see it like this as well. Although I don't think labour fans are "retards", I can't see how people think that a government that costs businesses money is going to create more jobs. IMO it will merely devalue the Aussie dollar, and scare business owners. These seem to be difficult times we are in at the moment and I am glad we have a liberal government. In saying that, I think that was Abotts first speech without a nation wide blunder.
