  1. I think it is davie Craig water that makes variable flow electronic water pumps. So you can take your thermostat out and machine off the vanes on your ford water pump. That will allow for maximum flow when you need it.
  2. I know if we don't use genuine CATERPILLAR coolant in CAT engines the aluminium parts will corrode at a faster rate. Even if it it states on the drums that it can be used for cat engines. Have you tried genuine ford coolant?
  3. I wouldn't think it would matter. You would just loose coolant and you would top it up as required. Don't forget to change your thermo fan settings as you'll want them to come on earlier with the thermostat as well. Or just pull the relays and bridge the battery wire to the output wire and have em run flat out all day. You could also try a higher pressure radiator/expansion tank cap. A higher pressure cap will keep the coolant more dense and will pull more heat out of your engine and transfer it to the cooler/radiator.
  4. That's what I have found on the site.
  5. Make sure you do the pressure test at engine operating temperature. And I think it will be more accurate to test the coolant for carbon and residue chemicals from combustion.
  6. Drain the coolant and run a water with three scoops of clothes washing powder. We use it on site to clean out radiators and cooling systems. The caustic in the washing powder works a treat in breaking down scum and oil from the cooling system. Then flush it all out after cruising for a couple of hours. Don't rev if hard coz the water pump will froff the water and cavitate the water pump. Also ensure you are not running to much antifreeze. Use the minimum amount of antifreeze as you can as straight water will always cool better then a coolant mixture. Also check ya head gasket with a coolant tester and ensure your thermo fans are sucking into the engine and not blowing out of the engine bay. Are you using stock thermos? Or aftermarket fans? Are you getting 12.7-13v at the fan motors? ( check this by back probing the wires in the plug as you want load on the circut from the motors while you test this. You can also check to make sure all your coolers are horizontal to the ground. Any angle ether side of horizontal with cause more restriction to air flow as the air will have to change direction as it flows through the coolers.
  7. I would say so, I can't see them changing a bulb between models of the same year. But I have not done this so I only assume.
  8. Yeh mate, at what rpm do you get full boost?
  9. RPM Bud. I bought the battery side intake so I could get better throttle response and less lag. So it would be nice to see how your air mod compares to my TSI
  10. Yes the xt lights should fit if you change to the F6 bar. All mounting bolts holes will the in the same position.
  11. Ever had a big load in the back ?
  12. Can you post a dyno sheet mate ? A comparison to a battery side intake dyno sheet would be mint. What lag are you running? 2800-2900 with the stock cross over? Battery side intake is about. 2600?
  13. What the? Can we start another thread explaining why this is the case... Why is there no information on these turbos ? Why is GTX the more popular turbo if these billet wheels outflow Gtx's

  16. I will probably put it on for 20k and try and get a quick sale.
  17. Ring gear and pinion 2k. Lol
  18. Check out MTQ mate they sell the " ford turbos"
  19. Did you search for this thread?
  20. I'm thinking of selling my G6ET as I'm moving O/Seas. What do you think a good sale price would be? Gun metal grey Battery relocation Turbo side intake Gtx3582r Tuned gear box Ported waste gate New flex plate Crow valve springs ID1000 injectors Over boost valve Nizpro 1000hp cooler and piping. Warlbro 450 e85 pump.( not tuned on E85) 4" dump pipe, twin 3" cats twin 2.5" out the back to dual mufflers ( quad tips) The above mentioned mods have done about 4000km with the wifey and bub driving it 95% of the time as I work away (6-8/1) roster Black leather New G/Year eagle 1 Tyres 1 month ago 85000km 2008 Full service history tuned by XFT Perth. Non LSD All oils are new New windscreen Broken bolt in head from turbo manifold leaks a tiny bit when cold. Reason for modifying was due to the old blocked turbo oil feed filter story. Everything else is stock for drivability. (Wife's Rules) I know it's hard without a pic but just assume the car is in mint condition. Coz it is. Thanks for your input.
  21. Search for "Best Cold Air Intake?"
  22. Would you receive better throttle response with a k&n at 300rwkw? I woulda thought so.
  23. Woops I sent my last msg clearly to late. Your mechanic sounds like he is an honest bloke good on him. Ignore what I said in my previous post.
