  1. With a standard in tank pump? What injectors?
  2. Sounds like a similar problem in an xr6t I looked at. Throttle body was gummed up with oil.
  3. Just found this too.
  4. I think my next step will be to put the bloody thing on a tow truck and take it back to Simon at XFT. If anyone is going to know it will be him." True, however it will hard for any mechanic to fix due to irregularity of the fault. You could try a harness wiggle test and see if it shuts down. Start it and wiggle all plugs and all of the harness.
  5. A lot in litres. I don't have a E85 bowser around home, so I will need to bring it home in 200ltr drums. Which means a lot of trips to the bowser and the bowser is 45min away from me. I shoulda been a little more descriptive. What pump do you run with your setup? I would assume I would need a bigger pump to run e85 as I will use more. For example; if I am running 550 horsepower on 98, I would need a 650hp pump to run 550hp on E85 as I am using 50% more fuel. I would assume I would need bigger injectors too due to them needing to squirt 50% more fuel to make 550hp. I know I will make more power on E85, I am just using 550 as a set number for the comparison. Would my assumption be correct?
  6. $27000 agreed value. And I always choose the highest excess, as I would fix any damage anyway. So my excess would be around a $1000
  7. Have you got your foot flat on the accelerator when cranking? Some people do and some don't. If you are that will definatly change pressures, when compared to not touching the accelerator.
  8. Take your intake off your throttle body and try again. If your cranking for a while it might make a 1psi of boost. You only need to crank three times. Like rrrrrrr, rrrrrrr, rrrrrrrr. Lol bad example I guess.
  9. Make sure it's clean mate. It's a bit strange your throttle body just stuffs up. What's wrong with it, is it the throttle position sensor, stepper motor, or is it your throttle pos sensor at your accelerator?
  10. Could be and the only way I see you having a high comp is if the gauge is giving you a false reading or variable cam timing has retarded to much. In saying that I don't know how the cams are actuated. I have only been told they vary with use of oil pressure
  11. Haha awesome idea fluffy!
  12. That's allot huh. Still worth it in my opinion.
  13. Can anyone enlighten me on how much E85 they use 100km? I am trying to compare it to 98 and whether or not a E85 pump is worth the coin.
  14. Haha
  15. 25yr old male. Full comp insurance. 08 g6et. $460 from aami. Gotta love the G6E turbos. 03 GTP Full comp insurance from aami was $2500. Aami knows about the LSD in the rear ends lol.
  16. That's what I wanted to hear.
  17. Haha that sounded a bit sick huh.
  18. Oh sounds serious! Lol. I gotta a staffy with balls too so I may have to keep it in mind.
  19. Damn I got the twin 2.5. Lol. But twin 3.5inch cats and 4" inch dump. I also went the v8 exhaust so the turbo will be super quiet hopefully.
  20. Why are you getting the exhaust? For noise only?
  21. Well done velocity. We wouldn't want a reader to go fill his car with water after reading my last thread.
  22. Ye mate, I would be replacing your dump and cat first.
  23. Fat rear tyres look awesome! Check out tyre prices aswell. Common sizes are always allot cheaper in my experience and I am not sure if 20x10s are as common as 20x8.5s. 20x10s will give you a taller side wall, which will look horn when compared to your front slightly smaller side wall. I reckon it would look even better with a 7.5 tyre on the 20x8.5 front rims. All adding to that fat stance.
  24. If you use too much coolant your engine won't cool as well as running the right mixture. Nothing cools better then straight water, and coolant is not very good at transferring heat. If your using premix I wouldn't worry about it.
  25. Ye mate, research a bit on the site. Depending on your wanted power level you may not need the cat back. Aftermarket Dump pipe and cat with standard cat back is good for 300kw. Then consider valve springs, a fuel pump and injectors. People can be mistaken by choosing an exhaust on engine cubic capacity. An exhaust should be chosen on the power output of the engine.
