I'm with replacing your rotors. Once deformed they will continue as the steel has now been sorta un evenly heat treated. New bushes are also a good idea, as they stopped the brake shudder in my Gt.

There should be some back lash in a gear box. You could also Check how much back lash is in the rear CV's. They caused my problem.

Oh really! The bottom mounts were already welded in place and the piping seemed to fit a treat, with some massaging ofcourse. Also if it were mounted higher it would mean I would have to take more steel out of the crash bar on the driver side for the hot pipe and I was already getting close to the horizontal section that the crash bar welds onto and a spot weld that I wanted to leave in place. I don't think you "really" need to take any steel off crash bar on the passenger side, but if I didn't the hose would have touched it (just). I admit I got over zealous on the LHS. I didn't follow the 5 "P" rule. I did buy my cooler second hand ($700) (cooler piping kit new was $600) the previous installer may have moved the mounts. For what reason I am not sure. Do you think the cooler looks small? Compared to the ones you have seen? -

My Cousin owns the Cannington workshop. I cant remember of hand but I can find out, what price he can do. They are expensive, but worth the money IMO. The sports ryders are a bigger diameter shock as well, I am not sure about the Koni's. There is threads on this forum where workshops are selling bilsteins cheap. Bilsteins have a good reputation as well. -

I personally wouldnt tell my dealership I was getting axel tramp, due to the attempted burnouts to find out your axles tramp. Lol -
No not often. I can't see it being your cooler mate. It sounds like your flapper valve. Take a pic of your actuator and we can tell you if it is in the open position.
-
I wouldn't be happy about the situation. Try and get a new serpentine belt out of them aswell. Belts will deteriorate with oil on them. Ball bearing turbos don't need a lot of oil, and from what I can see the turbo will have plenty of oil even with that leak." Personal Opinion of-course" and I reckon the installer will say the same. Intermittent boost is unusual though. I have been told if the flapper is too big in the exhaust housing, the pressure will over come the waste gate actuator. But you should still have some boost. 36mm is big enough apparently... However I know you can buy 40mm gates.
-
If it is leaking from the filter, unscrew the two sections of the filter. There may be a pinched o ring in there or it could be loose. You could also loosen the oil line to the turbo while the engine is running, to ensure there oil at the turbo. Just loosen the line and wiggle it to check for oil. Then tighten it again. I would then hold the engine at 3500rpm so engine oil pressure is at its highest. You should see where the leak is then. If boost is not coming on intermittently then your waste gate has to be open when there is no boost. Stick your head under the car and look. Up at the turbo charger. See if it all looks legit, maybe even take a photo and post it on here.

Standard Or Bigger Aftermarket Throttle Body

Your problem is very common. Pull it off yourself mate and have a look. You'll need a new gasket and a can of carby cleaner. That is all. If it saves you a couple of hundred then you'll be a very happy man. -

Thanks ms700. The thread was a real mess before you fellas cleaned her up. I have more photos so if some one needs them, don't hesitate to ask. -
It'll be the vct actuator.

I bought a gtx3582r of Shane at cms, there doing them for $1580 which is a steel I reckon! Simon at xft is running high 9's in a FGF6 with the gtx3582r. That is more then a quick enough to scare away any loud, cammed 6.2l Lion I'd reckon.

When opening these holes up, ensure you caress them gently with the die grinder. If you don't the plastic will chip (big chips) and your hole will look like you opened it up with a hammer. I have had hoses blow off while driving to very important lunch breaks, so I glued all my joins that sit inside the bumper. You dont need a hose blowing off while being charged premium rates for being on the dyno. This is a personal thing, but it works! This is how I worked the air box around the cooler pipe. I left the snorkel in there but trimmed it as you can see. I cant see any hot air being drawn into the air box while sitting at 100km/hr 1000hp cooler? I couldn't see it if I tried This electric die grinder worked a treat and as I see it, it is a must for this install. I hope this helps some one. Just had an enquiry for more info. So here are some more pics. Before After Before After Before After After After- removed to clear the hot side pipe. Before After- for some reason the hole was to small. Hint hint nizpro. 10mm drill bit and sensor safe silicon does the trick. After- I removed the steel to clear the cooler end tank. After- same on the passenger side. After I cut the bolt on the condenser bracket. (6mm bolt of no use) After- you can see on the passenger side I removed steel out of the crash bar to clear the cold side cooler hose. Before After After- I put an extra bit of silicon hose there to protect it from a rub through. After I moved the fan plugs out of there socket. After- you can see in this pic that there is no centre support. I cut it out, and you can see the burr marks on the uprights if you zoom in. Also buy a can of no primer required kill rust mat black in a spray can. Spray all the mods you make, to seal the steel, to prevent rust and make it look like a professionals job. All the best.

Yes I heared about Armadale, but that is 45min away from me :(. I'm in baldivis so I guess I'll fill two 200 litre drums every time I have to drive there. My garage would go off with a nice bang in a fire I reckon.

Why so much fail? If the inspection plate was made put of 3mm mild steel or 5mm billet aluminium bolted every 30mm around the outside using a nice gasket material, it would be mint. I would patent that and sell the idea to ford! The aftermarket bushes under warranty a fail? -

Lol, my dealer installed a 4:11 pinion and crown wheel in my GT under warranty. I bought the gears and they installed them. I can't see why they wouldn't if you offered to cover the cost of the bushes. It will be better for them! In every way. -
I am keeping my options open, but if you still have it, how much do you want. What model aswell mate? It'll have to be E85 compatible

Thanks
