It's going to be sometime before I upgrade my brakes I only did 10,000km last year. So looks like Ford maybe replacing them again.

Nice post Cro...... I took NEWL advice and went down to my local Ford dealer today and told them that I'm experiencing shutter. Ford asked when was the car built + how many km's. I answered all there questions, then asking if rotors are covered under warranty. He came back after a short time and said that the rotors are covered under warranty. GOOD. I saw letter about rotors. If the car was built after the 27th Oct 2003 rotors would be covered under warranty if your car has done less than 50,000km. I think that's got aload of my cheastand may others I hope. As soon as the car hits 50,000km I'll be changing the brakes straight away. I'll like to thank everyone who has put their suggestion across. Aaron

If the shudder you're referring to is the steering wheel bobbing back and forth, haul it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it as that'd be uneven rotor wear which is a warranty issue which normally would mean them replacing the rotors. May as well get what you can from them before you replace 'em. Thanks newl, I'll just might try that. I thought that brakes were not covered under warranty. The car is still under new car warranty and has almost 36,000. The other day I checked the brakes and found on the drivers side front rotor a grove spaning the disc right in the middle about 1mm wide and I don't know what from, think it maybe caused by uneven wear from the pads. YES or NO? Either way I'll hit Ford up.

I did hear on a grape vine that Expensive Daewoo maybe bring out a sv6 turbo to compete with Ford. Good luck I say

I had STD ICC, that was fitted it came with 6 disc in dash 100 watt speakers (prestige package) next one up from STD package.

Its ture. I ask My local Ford ford when I brought My BA XR8 Ute that I'll like to upgrade to the premo sound with colour ICC. Ford said no its only a option in sedans. The Ute is goooone Next time Fozzie Aaron

Hello everyone, been watching this thread and its very interesting. Its good to see that we all have our own opinion, but at the same time help each other with questions asked. I have been looking at upgrading my brakes for sometime now. I haven't been happy with Fords STD brakes since I first brought a BA XR8 ute, and its carried onto my new car. (shutter ect ect) Today I went on a hunt. Local Repco quoted me $2400 for complete upgrade set of PBR including lines. Went to local Tyre mob who I have been dealing with for about 8 years, quoted me DBA Kangaroo Paw Slotted Rotors front and back + Bendix Ultimate Pads - $880 fitted. They said no need to change the calipers as I all ready have PBR on. What is your though on the Package from the tyre mob. I'll still change the lines in the furture. Aaron

I'm up for a new front thanks to my lovely wife. I have rang Ford asking the price of a XR bumper $1500. (NO THANKS) I looked at AWC and I can't seem to find XR front but just for around $600 I'm able to get a F6 front. This is not by choice but a saving of around $1000 I'll take the F6. If anyone nows were I can get an XR front in black at the same price or less than the AWC F6 front in NSW must be brand new PM me. Cheers Merry Christmas to you all

Very good points everyone. It's a topic that could go on and on with everyone having there very own views to make. Ute do lack some safety options but there becoming better over the years, but still can improve. Reversing Sensors should be standard on all new cars today, being Sedans - Utes - FWD list goes on. As DaveO said and myself along with alot of other peoplein here, Be Safe, Be Smart

With the release of the new Territory, Ford has brought out a Reversing Camera for new Territory owners.This is standard on Ghia and optional on TS models. I think this should be optional across the Falcon range. With alot of new/old family starting (eg your own or grandkids) there's no differance if your drive a FWD or Sedan, your're not going to see a little child behind you. The question is do you think Ford should make the Reversing Camera optional across the Falcon range? This would bring much ease to many Ford fans out there. Aaron

Hello, that's not a bad price but I'll still ask them for some free extars. I'm in Wollongong and I've seen a few Reds going around but I've only seen 2 Menace 1 XR6 and the other a Turbo and both of them looked great. Enjoy the car what ever the colour maybe. Aaron

Colin T, They're the tyre I have just brought (Dunlop Direzza DZ101) and I like what I have just read. I haven't put them on yet should be sometime around Xmas. I'll post the outcome on how they'll go.
