I like the look of the cooler and stage 2 pipe work, look forward to the pics and your comments after the install
-
Good to hear the problem fixed. did you upgrade the intercooler or is it still stock ?
-
hi shadyxr I got my car tunned there as well, I got injectors and CAI, I made 266RWKW in auto, my standard figure was 216 RWKW, the dyno might be a bit generous. With the surging I get that as well it feels like the hits anohter level above 4000rpm
-
Waht will it cost to get it fitted to te factory dump pipe and centre nuffler ?
-
Okay I think I do have a problem, Just having a look at the car again, the driver side looks lowered, its about 2 cm above the rubber both front and back, the passenger side still looks the same when compared to the original height. The passenger side there is an additional 2cm gap I.e. it sits about 4 cm above the rubber, on the drive side I can just fit the car alarm controll between the rubber and guard, on the passenger side its fits easily with few cm play. which is noticeable when comparing the two sides, has anyone else experience this ? can the spring have been installed incorrectly ?
-
Had another good look at my car, looks like the pics you have posted in ride height. It might just be me expecting it to sit lower.
-
I got the springs fitted today and the car does not look much lower ?? What I have noticed is the driver side looks lower then passenger side by about 2 cm, how long does it take for the springs to settle ? is it possible that they were not installed correctly ?
-
Thanks for the info, I was going to go 19" but he had a second hnd set of 20" which were cheaper, I might look at getting the 19"
-
Has anyone fitted 20'" wheels to there car ? Is this to large ? Will I need to lower the car more then King SSL at the rear and SL at the front ? The guy that is lowering my car has a set and said he will put them on to see how they look, he is also selling them cheap so once they come on it will bee very tempting to keep them on

My Car got 266RWKW @10 psi @5000RPM, it has 42lb injectors fitted as well.

SS induction $240 2nd CAI $40 K+N filter $99 Capa Edit-$1297 Custom tune $600 (includes fitting my injectors and gaping the plug) Racetronix 42lb injectors - $330 Turbosmart BOV $290 ShiftKit and TransCooler $400 Total- $3296 Running about 266rwkw
-
What purpose would that serve? I've installed bigger injectors to make more power, not for cosmetic purposes. I have 3 programs in the flash box: F = Factory 1 = Stock program recalibrated for bigger injectors only 2 = 10 psi custom program 3 = 12 psi custom program Will spend all next week developing a tune for the SMB 4" dump pipe and SMB 4" cat to complement the Street Tuner front mount intercooler. While the development is being done I'll be sure to have PSI or D & T run the dyno in every different mode to see what the difference is. And no, the stock injectors will not be reinstalled. We'll use another MkII 6 spd for that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very interested on the results you obtain. I have done EDIT with Injectors and getting 266RWKW, I want to install this intercooler and exact exhaust combo of SMB pipe/cat to factory centre muffler exhaust. Will you keep the boost at 12 psi ? Have you or will u upgrade your fuel pump ?

I Got my Car EDITED at Intune Motorsport, dropped the car off at 11 am hanged around for the first dyno run and gapping of the plugs, came back later in the day and John was fine tuning the car, I also installed 42lb injectors. The final power run was 266RWKW, it was around 256RWKW, after a few more adjustments we got a nice power increase, the car seems stock on the road to about 3000RPM after that it seems to launch to redline, what I have noticed the most is it is pulling much harder above 3000RPM in all gears especially 3rd from 100Km/h onwards, My brother had a drive and he was quite impressed with the difference, you get to 120Km/h so quickly its deceiving
-
No debate necassary; just a question as to fact. I too am interested in the answer. CountryPhoon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I used Racetronix 42lb Injectors with my Edit, made 266RWKW, and they only cost me $330 delivered.

Hi All Got my Car tuned today at intone motor sport, May car stock apart from SS inductions CAI and a Second CAI pulled 216RWKW, After getting the injectors replaced with 42lbs Racetronix items it was costumed tuned to 266RWKW. I have not had a chance to Scan the Dyno graph, I was a bit surprised of the stock power figure. the road is a bit wet so I have not really driven it hard, as I nearly lost the back end at 80km/h when I decided to give a bit, will wait to it dries up to see how she goes.
-
I'm getting my Car Edited Tomorrow, I will post what my stock reading with CAI is and what my result are with Injectors + Edit, the Exhaust is stock, the tuner said I can expect around 250-260RWKW (the car is auto) this is with 10psi I was told, I will be using standard fuel pump and not changing the Valve springs.
-
Well I cant wait till monday, called today and confirmed with john, I might not be able to post until I stop driving it so I hope all goes well and tuesday I will post results once I get to work.
