As I said earlier I have these on mine I gained 18rwhp then tuned over 60hp at the tyres when I changed to twin cats and dump and exhaust..My exhaust guru put one of these on a flow bench and it flowed close to 750cfm.. I run up to 26psi of boost through them and run 536hp at the wheels this is proven.. Just had a read of the other forum, its seems to work well for them, might be a good investment for some cheap power gain, cant afford a SMB dump pipe and 4 inch cat, this might be my plan B. The contact number off the CAT is Magic CAT 02 99391644

I will give them a call on monday and find out more, I would rather they fit it then me trying to explain to a exhaust shop what I need, should be a nice addtion to my DW cooler

I have the Racetronix injectors, ordered them from the US. http://www.racetronix.com/621031.html they are a tri spray pattern and I got them a while back for about $250 USD, this is when edit was about $1300, since the edit is $1000 I would have used the $300 saved and gone for Bosch ones, but the price difference between these and Bosch ones was close to $500. I have had no dramas with them and the car goes fine.

I have ordered a intercooler from DW and I’m getting it fitted at Tunehouse in Marrickville, Sydney. They are a CAPA Edit dealer, I’m going to also get a full service and a before and after dyno run to make sure all is safe. I went to intune ages ago for my custom tune but want to try some one else to see what they can do for my car. I will update on the service. So far Jim form tunehouse has been excellent in answering my question via phone or email and I look forward to taking my car there to see what they can do.

I have ordered and paid but sometime’s DW can be a bit slow on some things like pics and you need to find other to answer them. It might have been quicker to go to autobarn and get it but all good things come to those who wait

Why are you talking to them? Didn't you order one off DW? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wanted to find out more spec's about it as they are the one who manufactured it and who else was selling it. DW is not the only person who can get them and wanted to find out what price they will RRP at.

I have ordered one, should have it next week. I will get it installed at Tunehouse in sydney and do a before and after dyno run, then a retune depending if I can get a hi-flow cat as well. I will post the results and pics of the install. If its any good we will find out.

correct DW did design it, you can PM him about were to get it from, OR you can buy it from him or they will be sold via repco and autobarn I think.

There is another intercooler available for the XR6T, its going to retail for around the $500-$550 mark, it will fit factory plumbing. Dimension are 450*300*78. Been speaking to the sales manager at Autotecnica I have posted a image of it as well that he sent me. I think it is a nice cheap upgrade from the factory one.

I did not install my shift kit (done by a my mechanic), but when its on and I’m in drive it does not seem to engage first properly from standing start and then thuds into second, when in manual mode and I put it into first its fine from a standing start.

How easy is it to gut the CAT ? I want to but its only $300 or so for a hi-flow one and you dont take the risk of getting fined for the effort.

Is any one making SMB Dump Pipe & Cat adapter to fit onto the factory system ? or is this a custom job and Exhaust place would need to do ?

What did it run as a stock ? what was the gain on the stock power figure ? I have the same setup apart from the 2 CAI and I got just over 260RWKW.

I have had mine for 11 months, it has 11,000Km on it and it has got, EDIT, Injectors, SS CAI, plus 2nd CAI (K&N filter), Turbo Smart BOV, Lowered King Springs, Trans Cooler/Shift Kit, plus ordered a DW intercooler and waiting for the new Xforce Exhaust, don’t really worry about warranty as I get things done properly and don’t go overboard, only thing I can see breaking will be the auto with to much power

That Herrod engine pipe set up is like $1400 after you do that a remove the centre muffler you will be paying the same price for either the Xforce 4 inch system or close to the APS

Xforce is releasing a 4 inch system which includes dump pipe and hi-flow 4 inch cat, with the option of quad pipes out the back, like Dean's (XR6ISM) car; I think it was the development car. I was told it will be much cheaper then the APS system and other on the market, should be available in early Jan 06, once it is released and pricing available then we can see if it is worth the upgrade.

very good post, makes me think twice about doing a intercooler install with out some help.

Hi le22 I thought the same about my car, it always felt a bit slow off the mark, but once it came on boost it was very quick, I got myself a G-tech SS from ebay and tested 0-100, I managed a 5.1 sec with a slight stall, if you do stall it up in auto you will get a good launch but might break traction, I have raced SS and 300KW HSV and for the first 50 m it might be close but once u have boost they are in the rear view mirror.

I just got My Gtech Pro SS off ebay (http://www.gtechpro.com/ss.html) had a bit of a play with it and managed a 0-100 in 5.1 and 1/4 mile in 13.3 sec @ 166 Km/h, did not stall it up hard enough, but was really testing the unit. Will give it a few more runs on the weekend; want to break into the 12's for the 1/4 mile. I got it to measure the gains when I add more mods. Has anyone else got these units and what times are they getting?
