I have finally gotten around to installing my jvc dvd headunit to the factory screen using the blaupunkt converter box. For some reason each time it starts up the screen appears in a different position as though the vertical hold needs adjsuting. Any ideas? anyone else had this problem, those that have posted photos of their setups such as bob and cut snake dont appear to have this problem. Please help!

does the alpine u it have an am/fm tuner in it? Have you hooked it up? If you have I would love to know how. I plan on totally disconnecting speakers from the factory unit but still want to listen to the radio.

very nice! How did you install the deck? would love to see some close up pictures of how it is mopunted! Am in the process of doing the same. Have made the cable but image quality is very poor. Am mounting the converter in the boot so have a 4m cable run. I am using proper vga cable but the image is very flarey and hardly watchable. Any ideas?

My car is a Jan 03 build so I only have a few weeks till my warranty runs out. I have a fairmont ghia so have leather seats. The seats in the back are quite rough on the headrssts and appear to be pulling on the stitching, do you think ford would replace them or just turm me away until the waranty runs out and it is my problem. Anyone else hade similar problems?

There was a huge lawsuit regarding Firestone Tyres that were fitted from the factory. They had a tendancy to spontaneously blowout their sidewalls. Cost ford hundreds of millions and pretty much ruined Firestone!

It may not be the same box then. The staff said it was a new product and it is listed under new products on the jaycar website. Maybe this one works?

Thanks for clearing it up about the signal converter, I have a Blaupunkt 5501 so didn't require one, was just suggesting it as an option to others. Has anyone tried the tuner, How did it go? ShockF6 were you talking about this box?

does anyone have one of these? do they get rid of the noise you get through the normal one?

I have the same problem, Not quite as severe. Took it in as I had a leak from that area to get it fixed. I had seen it leaking and there was some rust present but they said if they didn't see it leak they wouldnt fix it!!! Stillwell Ford Main North Roade Adelaide
