I have an XR8 bonnet on my Black T...ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

I believe manual is limited to 1200kgs.

had my XR8 in for service a couple of few ago with City Ford Sydney. On pickup went thru the invoice charged for fuel additives and a whole heap of other additives. when I questioned the guy he said I must have asked for these..I said I didn't and straight away he wiped it of the bill about sixty bucks from memory....I reckon they don't even add the crap.....then just last week took the XR6T in for 30K service itemised invoice said wheel rotation and tyre air as per service book on getting home noticed tyres not rotated and air pressures not done....makes you wonder what they actually did do dealer service is absolutelyu taking us mugs for a ride!

DRKXR6 I have a black xrr Turbo. with factory XR8 bulge and intercooler sprayed (no grille) looks fantastic and have had heaps of positive looks and comments...go for it! BTW where do you get the bonnet turbo stickers from???

Oh great..now I don't know whether or not to tell Ford to keep their hands off my little baby just amazed that the press previously was all good...now its nothing positive....not looking forward to getting a trade in value when the time eventually comes (although I just love getting into my T and going for a drive).

I am not a one eyed Ford Man as I know Ford service and attitiude to its buyers are just as bad as the other manufacturers...but I've got 15Ks on my T now and I just love getting in the car almost every night just to go for a quick drive.

I had a Blaupunkt already fitted on my demostrator> dealer valued it at over $2000 (it was fitted by Black Widow at Starhfield) - run thru centre screen. I ended up getting a roof mounted screen for the kids in the back connected to same player. A mob at Liverpool across the road from Strathfield Car radio reckon they could have installed the same including Sat Nav for about the same price.

Rumour from latest issue of Motor Magazine:- apparently Ford put out a run of 6 2003 model Ts all Impulse Blue built with 280kw. The only clue to these is a red cross on the intercooler pipe near the air box...(page 16) go check your toys boys.....

Gents. My Mk1 T Man is due for 15K service. Stock no mods. I do feel it lacks the power at times compared to when I first got it but could just be my imagination. Any words of advice re: what I should request from the service guys. How much should this service cost me? Any comments would be appreciated.

if I was you I would sell before I buy...but I have a wife, two kids, a dog and a huge mortgage to also pay for. I tried to sell my 98 EL XR8 on carpoint before buying and with no luck...ended up trading it in and wearing the trade in price (which was crap). I now have a black T and love the colour when its clean...nothing beats it (I think) but you have to be at it all the time and cringe if its out in the rain...but you already have a black rex so you know what is involved
