  1. Hi Shaz - a/ 12th is the Monday I think b/ a really good run is to roll through Toowoomba to the RimFire Winery at McClaggan. Tea, scones, a couple of samples of the grape..... Noice. (At the Winternationals 9, 10, 11th June.... so will be very much in recovery mode....)
  2. IMHO valve spring quality is a lucky dip.... you'll soon know if you're lucky after a couple of back to back dyno runs with 10lb or more. Mine carried on like a ..... installed Performance springs for a fix - result is brilliant. Could not be happier...
  3. Melrose Drive , Tullamarine , Victoria... January 16th 2006 :14.35 hours : Highway patrol officer pulls over a Workcover Inspector for doing 71 in a 60 zone. Workcover Inspector says nothing and cops it sweet. Policeman finishes writing ticket and proceeds back to his car........... Workcover Inspector in the mean time, gets his digital camera out of bag, photographs the member and proceeds to the police car where he issues the Officer with an $800.00 fine for not wearing his hi-visibility vest when leaving his vehicle in a high traffic area.
  4. So, Rob........... Did they swallow it??
  5. They were using the Fpv Watch ?

  8. Alphonse. Pierre. VAT hav oui createed? An animale - vay out of controlle?? PhantommmeSchikke as gone aywire!!!
  9. Ahhhh Misiour ALPHONSE!! iz zis "zi rear louvre"...... ??
  10. What an absolute crack... TOP MARKS TO ALPHONSE! Saw a Hyundai Excel recently with similar A Frame mount rear wing - incidentally running at around the same 45 degree angle. Was kicking myself the digital was at home..... dam thing must have been 50cm wide. Bloke next to me in a Cruiser was cacking himself. OK - here starts the new thread... dumb mod photos. What a fine example to kick off THE GALLERIE! PIERRE...... IT ZALL IN ZE ALPHONCE VING DEZIGN. VOT BUT MAGNIFIQUE.....
  11. Cro - just double checked the book.... the T is "6.6L wet fill, 7.0L dry fill" according to Henry. Anyone that doesn't change filters would be nuts - so ignore the first one. So...if Igsta has whacked in 6.8 on a dry fill and is 40% over the mark and even if the tollerance on this is +/- 5%, ..... what the.... ????
  12. .....meaning...... if you overfilled slightly and haven't kicked her over yet, the empty filter is going to pick up a fair whack of what you're worried about. As for how much is too much - the book says @7 litres with filter change from memory.
  13. Did you change your filter?
  14. Only that you won't be rotating front to rear / rear to front very often!! Depending on your driving style - you may be wearing out front edges before rears and so on....
  15. Drop off in the top end is (possibly) valve springs not handling the pace. Had mine done a couple of days ago (set of new PS BA100 Performance Springs) and the difference is palpable. Low end torque and top end just open up on the 10lb map, and 8lb is perfect for round town mode. Have to wonder about the standard springs now - my guess is that they give up the ghost on anything but the factory 5lb.... they just aren't up to the task. In for the custom workup at PTE soon. Heaps of other threads on this.... John
  16. My Dunlops went east at 41000, and have just turned over 8000 on a set of Toyo TPGU (Trampio) 235/45 17's. IMHO - heaps better in all quarters; wet, turn in, mid corner, braking, no tramlining etc etc. Better performance - and quieter. And for the price I paid for a set - I'm as happy as a ....... and the Proxes is higher spec'd. Be careful of mixing up your sizes - checking the rolling diameters and revolutions per kilometer in the tables attached. Just in case you haven't seen these - there are pdf's on each one at the Toyo.com.au site - relevant one is attached. John Proxes_20T1R.pdf
  17. Hey Lump...... what's happened with the Grafton HillClimb track? Is that a possibility for the list at some stage? Or not turbo suitable.....? (Remember it many years ago.... and really it was pretty purpose built for climb cars. But do believe they did some work on it.)
  18. Good on yer Mick! Had the weird A/C issue with mine once only just after the flash.... refused to work for a day, no rhyme or reason. If I remember rightly the left hander off Dayboro road onto Eatons Crossing Road at 45 degrees cured the issue. Novel. Hasn't missed a beat since. (PTE suggested same as Alan - only flash with everything turned off so there's no power variation in line during transfer). Mind you - am running the 8lb now routinely due to the standard valve springs not handling the 10 too well. Getting mine done in Nov at PTE. Couple of the other guys have had them done..... presume all is ok with the new ones??? Feedback from anyone - might be on Mick's list soon as well......
  19. Ee Gad, Lump...... you're right! Do you think Red may be referring to The Bathurst Pack for the E49?? LOL Long Live The Charger.
  20. Just saw a bird fly past....
  21. Good on yer Macka! You could have picked way worse than the Caloundra area.... Don't forget, when you come through the gate into Queensland, there's a small tin box on the left. that's where the "Queenslander" stamp is. Dip it in the maroon ink, place it on the middle of your forehead, and press. I was worried at the time - but honestly - it's almost painless. And Lumpy..... I can vouch for the ECHO ECHO ECHO in Pillar Valley....... LOL
  22. Run 1 - 16.56 Run 2 - 16.09 Run 3 - 15.39 Shazza!!!! Chic!!!!! Awsome!!! I've taken your first 3 amazing runs and applied a special mathematical calculus to the continued improvement shown. This means that by run 12 down the 'Bank you will be cutting a 9.99!!!! BOYS PREPARE THE 'CHUTES!!!!!
  23. Thanks to all involved - especially Mark and Paul and the Power Torque team. ESPECIALLY little Luke for tearing backward and forward to the printer! Their professionalism is respected. Lets not forget Macca and Trent on the barby - well done fella's .... and NICE snags. Macca reckons the secret is in the frozen onions. No secret today Macca - they worked! The money earned from the hot and cold drinks & barby added nicely to the final tally..... well done. Also thanks to Ross from Performance design for the sCANalyser electronics display now ready for application in the Turb's.... his web address if anyone is looking for it is http://www.hymee.com/scanalyser.htm MOST impressive setup! Well organised, Cruise Leader Almighty! You done good. Cheers all - see you at the next one! John

    My New Tyres

For those chasing 17's - new boots on mine early today... decided to go the Toyo way with Trampio Gu:wn ( TPG ) 235/45ZR's. From my memories of the Dunlops when new - these are streets ahead... And at $725 fitted for 4 I'm as happy as. Noise is down, comfort and grip is up ++. Very impressed.
  25. Confirming I'll be there with a chair to watch - and also my tongs. And what tongs they are. Beware. Oh - and the running order? I reckon phantomchic should be sent in FIRST as the DYNO PRIMER....
