  2. More here: FG Lowered pics And here: G6ET
  3. On a cotton harvester out west, destressing..... have fun guys.
  4. You iriot. I'd like to have seen a dentures question in there - but you've near covered everything. Well done. Love my Frame.... er - car.

    New Here

Aaaah yes - the Bowls Hat on the rear parcel shelf has been done once or twice - Tab can enlighten you more. It is, indeed, a cunning plan.

    New Here

Welcome to The Club Of Bowls, YT. One should never leave home without a set in your boot. Nice ride, and do like the new wheels..... Cheers from all of us with Taste.
  7. No pics, no sense; move on thanks.... nothing to see here....
  8. And keep your eye on your doughnut....
  9. I reckon he's sleeping in it.....
  10. 'Bout time too. Welcome home Dags!!!!! And a fine time you'll be havin' real soon..... Playing with your bowls while driving along is a very relaxing thing - as many of us in the club already know. You can even take them out on the green for a roll occasionally - but should always where the stiffened white hat to look the part. Great to see.... Congrats!! And remember - black - polish it in straight lines or you'll end up Tabular Swirlitis.
  11. Call Scott Barlow at SureShift Automatics at Virginia. 07 3216 2975. Scott's done ZF services and plastic pan replacements for a while now...
  12. My 18" Dunflops went in the bin two weeks ago after 30K, and the newly appointed FK452s are nothing short of a quantum leap in front. Agree - I was always hesitant in anything over a light shower.... very little feedback from the pointers up front. Different kettle of fish now though. I dare say that the greater percentage of performance tyres outperform the standard factory rubber.
  13. Welcome to the real world of fast bowls, Kula. You'll enjoy the ride now - But even more after after the warm over!
  14. Yeah guys - for me warranty isn't the issue here. Car is always kept standard for the first 2,000k's.... if anything big is going to be a call in the driveline, then it happens, is dealt with, and I mentally sign off and move on. Each to his own. Wagnman - appreciate the comments. This stems from running Class in my rally driving days - it was very much a limited modification approach, where you had to use every brain cell you had to get the utmost out of your vehicle. No blunderbuss approach. I don't have as many of those brain cells now - but love starting a project with a goal in mind. Min 650ks from a tank on a trip, and the ability to tear up tarmac while overtaking a road train when we go out to the daughters cotton farm is the goal. And it's nice to have both. Good discussion though....
  15. How's the spending going A? Any more excitement on the western front? Enjoying the drive? Hope all is well...
  16. Which - Bomber - was my aim exactly. No cutting intercooler upgrade for the Brisbane heat, induction pipe upgrade to handle some psi, dump, cat and exhaust, injectors, LSD, tune, lowered onto some SSLs, and I'm done. @310rw on the PTE dyno (read conservative), no dramatic stress on the box, and a car that will last well in the long run. And now that I've at last worn out the Dunflops, and got some FK452s on it - I'm laughing. Exactly what the project set out to do has been achieved, and I'm de happy chappy. There'll always be room in the market for an option like this - not for everyone - but for more than some might like to admit....?
  17. Easy to do - start with the fishing line, then the foam sticker underneath basically rubs off with a variety of chemicals... WD40, goo remover all pretty safe. Wash the area, then go through a three step polish process and you'll never know. Don't use anything harder than a cotton bud (in other words dont put screwdrivers or wooden spatulas anywhere near the job).
  18. Couple of notes on some of these comments.... 1/ evaporative cooling relies on air movement to create temperature drop, and 2/ every degree cooler is 3 horsepower gained.... add up a 10 degree variation and it's substantial - same as driving your T on a cold winters night vs 1pm on a summers day. Worthwhile project when done the right way. Great info guys.
  19. Guys - link here to another PWR install (G6ET):
  20. Mmmm - we could be starting a trend Andrew. I can see Tab calling me soon..... Nice job. What sort of clamps did the Herrod kit come with?
  21. Mine here xrt;
  22. The other bits behind the grill sort of defeated the purpose as there'd be a black and alloy mix. To go all black would have been a bit of work masking and spraying. Fair call though arron... will post up a 3/4 view later if I can get one.
  23. Agreed - the data is from the old end tank design - can't find anything more up to date. There are definite changes in the cutting and bending angles. Juggernaut - yes, latest stepped design. Couple more photo's may help - second is from behind at the top... intercooler, power steering cooler, then ac core. Refer back to the original photo's also - you can see the step in that.
  24. LOL - Mmmmmm - new rear window sticker; "Boosted Bowlers", and maybe a little Super Roo carrying a turbo and a Bowls Bag.... there's a thought! I knew leaving the spray on advertising was a gamble and would draw a little flack . I sat there looking at it, then covered it up, then said "stuff it".... and it sure draws the head turns, no doubt. Actually, I'm really happy with the front on look -understated with bit of hey wait a minute - same reason the 3.5"tail pipe is just an angle cut off with no chrome tip, painted black. AndrewD = Plazmaman pipe set via Karl at Hiroperformance. And yeah - clamps.... any suggestions anyone? I think these will go once the front comes off again... not overly fussed with three spot welds on the clamp anchor.... Anyone who wants the data sets on this cooler PM me and I'll email them to you (Tuono) - I'm stuffed if I can remember where I found them... might even be on here somewhere. Includes graphs - but is a pretty big file (2.3mb). Excerpt from that file summary (note - standard car): Top of second gear the Stock intercooler outlet temp was 24 degrees above ambient compared to PWR intercooler at 8Deg. • Stock intercooler peak pressure drop in first gear of 1.03 psi. The PWR unit peaking at 0.41psi. • Stock intercooler Total temp drop at this stage was 55Deg . PWR unit at 73Deg. • Engine water temp still constant at a slightly lower 206 Deg. 3rd gear: Top of third gear the Stock intercooler outlet temp was 31 degrees above the ambient compared to the PWR 7Deg. • Stock intercooler peak pressure drop in third gear of over 0.61 psi compared to the PWR of 0.02psi. • Stock intercooler total temp drop at this stage was 66 Deg, compared to the PWR 88Deg. No intercooler wars here guys - this one suited what I wanted (big as possible without an air saw to do a hackathon), looked the goods, used the standard mounts so I can swap it back easy if needs be to support the mortgage payments, and provided a little bit more than needed for the occassional squirt on a hot Brisbane day... and the psi this is running it needs a breath of fresh air. Happy as Larry with the result at 30 deg yesterday - fantastic... and now as I can get more than one run out of the dam thing :laughrolling: ! PS Tab - I'm finished now. I think.
  25. Tall and deep - had to remove the foam pad from the undertray to get it back on! And the top goes all the way to the top - there aint no more room. And first time I think I've done a mod where I didn't cut/shove/push/move/destroy something to get it right. It fitted like a finger in a ____. Oh - and PS; had to spin the calibra clamps around facing backward as the thread stems were too long for the tray as well(see pic). Wasn't that such fun to have to pull the front off again (note to self - check clearances you nong).
