Nice looking car gunna......I like the look of the vy-vz's but I'm with your Mrs -- H series Holdens for me as well. lol young chicky.............My first manual was a HQ - 3onthetree with drums all round. Even back then, Expensive Daewoo had ESC (in a way) coz the 173cid engine wasn't capable of going fast enough to get you into trouble and ABS coz there was no way that the drums would lock up.

'bout time the 5-0 bought a car that wasn't white....There was a new crappydore here this morning with all antennas and striping etc. in a very nice dark Blue. Looked way better than the old white for a HWP car that's for sure.

Funny you should mention a potato Steve coz I've been wondering for the last few weeks if the valve in the nizpoo zorst may have something to do with it.

Drove down to Adelaide and back tonight with a friend....Freeway driving......a total of 168km. Filled it up and reset the 'average economy' thingy before I left and used cruise control all the way down to the city and back. WPMO 14.7km/100 On the farken freeway with NO boost coz she's affraid of driving fast so didn't exceed 110 The economy was better when the weather started to warm up - coming out of winter - but now it's back to total farken sh1t. Can't afford to use that much.

If you're upgrading all 4 corners with discs & calipers then I suggest all 4. Doing this will give you 2 things. 1.. A better pedal feel which in turn should give you more confidence in the brakes & 2.. Knowing that all 4 have been upgraded to braided lines therefore there's not much chance of an old line off the car that donated the brake system - 'popping' - should give you more confidence in the brakes. Edit And don't forget..... good quality fluid

I just threw those sizes into http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp (uses Flash so prob won't load on your mobile) and it says that the front diameter is 680mm and your current rears are 674mm. If you go to a 275x35x20, the diameter will go up to 700mm which - obviously - is a 20mm dif to the fronts so I'm gunna expand your question if you don't mind Matt.............. Does anyone know what the maximum difference between front and rear tyre diameters is on the FG ??? As I was (still am sort of) thinking of going up in profile on the rear of mine as well (18"), I went up to my closest dealer a few weeks back to ask and that was a waste of fuel coz the bloke had NFI and had no interest in trying to find out.

The FG tops out at about 320 kw on 98 octane fuel but due to the turbo being a GT3578 to the BF GT3582, it delivers the power differently (spools quicker but runs out of puff in the top end). Again, work out what you eventually want from the car and this may help yuo decide which model to get.
