Standard joiner from cooler to pipe is about 50 iirc. Easy enough to do yourself if you're that way inclined
-
The GTX..76 & 82 both have a 4" inlet where as the standard FG turbo is 3" therefore you will have to grab a joiner and clamps to suit. Around 40 bucks
-
Oh is this bloke a Mexican? Didn't know that. In that case Ring Pit Lane dood........they'll see you right.
-
I know it's extra money but maybe you should look at a full alloy piping kit coz they don't blow out.

Renewal time........grrrrrrrr Because aami changed the way they 'clasify' the G6ET a cupla years back which dramatically increased my premium whilst at the same time increasing the excess from 450 to 1200, I was dreading renewal time this year coz I knew that they would be increasing it again and guess what, they didn't disappoint me. Premium increased to 620 /y, a $103 increase and agreed value dropped to 22000..............agreed value? not friggen likely. I am sure that they are doing this with the policy coz they don't actually want to insure me or my car, so I have fired the wankers. Remembering that I am 51 and live outside of Adelaide, SGIC (SGIO & NRMA) gave me an agreed value of 27000 - could of gone higher if I went through Underwriting but premium goes up quite a bit - covers ALL mods (careful of the small print with AAMI) NCB protection and covers ALL drivers of my car whereas minimum driver age with aami was 35 which means that if I wanted to sell the car, no-one under 35 could test drive it and be covered. I know this for a fact coz I asked them when I was thinking of selling it. I had the idea in my head that I wanted the premium to be under 500 a year so the chic on the phone told me to buy the policy online to get a discount and I've now got an insurance policy with SGIC on my car that I am happy with for $472. I was charged an extra dollar coz I ticked the box to send hardcopies the policy & PDS to me instead of emailing it all. Cheers for pointing me in the right direction Kurt

The transmission experts will be able to give you a better answer ( & ralph just did ^^ ) but in the mean time....... If your heat exchanger goes and trans fluid mixes with coolant - it's too late. If you DO catch it on the day the exchanger lets go, you may be lucky and get away with a complete trans service/flush but that means you have to check 'every day'. They say that the zf is sealed for life. This may be true if Ford used a better quality heat exchanger but they don't. The unit could last a week or 10 years - it seems to be pot luck so if your worried at all (and by asking the question says to me that you are) then check out an aftermarket heat exchanger. I noticed the other day that Pit Lane and PWR are doing a group buy on the pwr heat exchanger so imho, I reckon you should jump on that as 700 bucks now could save you (up to) 5 or 6 grand on a trans rebuild in the future and then you can enjoy driving your car instead of worrying about the dreaded milkshake.

They're a straight drop in as far as I'm aware bud. If you have decided to buy Australian - as spoken of above - ring Dave at KPM in Adelaide and he'll see you right with the injectors.......their number is 08 - 8299 998 ................... On a side note: How nice is it to see a thread with a good question and good honest (straight to the point) answers instead of what 'has' been happening in so many threads lately. I'm sure that the future people that search the same question will appreciate it ....................... Now I've said that you watch, some knucklehead will come in and wreck it

What Wilko said...........music copyright will cause the error on most mobile devices using tapafark or motorculture. You can get 'free' music from the youtube music library to add to videos and this will fix the prob in the future. I checked it out on the comp yesterday and as you lot were going around a bend I noticed that Rabs car didn't have the body roll like the rest of you...........coilovers you say Off topic a bit - sorry Gunna get my car fixed up in a cupla weeks and then gunna come do a Calder run so I'll meet you there Rab

Good q ... no sorry it's not. The car runs an xr8 lower box and snorkel with a KnN panel filter as part of its mods and to keep the stock (ish) look. Sorry .. I should of mentioned that but even on a stock engine, I really don't think the streetfighter will change the sound very much at all and if that's all you want, 600 bucks is a big outlay and you may be disappointed imo
-
The first thing I bought for my car was the Streetfighter and for the second time it was fitted a few weeks back for a car show. The first time was to do b2b runs on the dyno to see the dif between it and the stock unit on a stock engine. The KPM unit picked up 8rwhw over stock. While it was on the car for the car show a cuppla weeks back, I gave the car a bit of a run (it's now modded to 319) and I didn't notice any difference in intake noise - not to say that there wasn't a difference but if there was, it was very slight. The only thing I did notice on the drive home from the show was my boost level. The car had the 15psi tune in it and with the Streetfighter fitted, the gauge showed 18psi and seemed to hold it for longer but I still didn't notice a sound difference.

Buying a TV these days can be as daunting as it was to buy / build a desktop computer box a few years back and remembering that the new gen of tv's is a computer (with slightly limited functions) with a tv card in it will help in making a choice. When I was shopping for a new one a while back, the first thing I thought of was the picture quality. Looking at the LG, Sony and Samsung side-by-side at the tv shop just got me more confussed as the picture on each was fantastic, and all were slightly different. The sales guy started talking about Hz and I remembered back to something I read a few years back...........the older you get, the less fps you eyes actually register and then a few months back over in the Battlefield 4 thread, Az and a few of the guys were talking about video cards for their gaming computers that run (iirc) 120 up to 200 frames-per-second. Just to clarify something here for those that may not be aware, when Hz is spoken about on a TV, the number quoted is the 'maximum' fps that the processor sends to the panel (screen). Now I don't know about the rest of you but my eyes are .... well .... not the best these days and there is no way that my brain could tell the difference between 200fps and 60fps so I was able to save a few bucks by looking at the 60/50 Hz Tv's only. Next - really - important thing for me was Input Lag......as mentioned in a post above. Back when I was shopping for a new tv, I was big time into COD & Battlefield on the PS3 and a thread over on Whirlpool spoke of the lag between a gaming consol and the tv - that is - when you hit the x button on the controller, how long is it before I actually fire off a bullet on the screen. The LG was hopeless back then (720ms - almost a second) with no way to turn off any of the processing in the tv to speed it up and the Sony has the best as it has a gaming mode and with a hi-speed hdmi cable took the lag time down to 17ms. Some of you may be thinking "so what about the lag". Well let me tell you the the difference can be the difference between you killing someone before they kill you. We all know about 'video lag' especially on the Battlefield servers so anything that could lessen the overall lag between me and some kid with awesome reflexes is gotta be good. 3D was an obvious choice for me simply because I watched a few demos of it and it blew me away........no spoilers here but I watch Game Of Thrones and Banshee in (simulated) 3D and WOW - but the Active type 3D gave me a headache after about 10 or 15 minutes so passive it was. The OS had to be fast and easy to use and at the time, the Samsung was extremely slow and really confusing to navigate (for me) so that got rid of that brand and as I spoke of before, the input lag in the LG had taken that one out so that left the Sony, which I bought and was a great choice for me. The model I bought has the LG panel run by the Sony OS and watching the sprint cars on channel one while I'm typing this reminds me that I chose reallllly well. But, If I was to buy a tv today, I would look at some of the TV's from Kogan.
