Hiya mate......welcome to the forum The car scene in Radelaide is starting to get back to what it was back when Noah modded the Ark -- and about farken time too. A few things to look out for and if you're on Facebook, search for their names. ---------------- High Rollers Car Club (the largest meet up and cruise in Adelaide atm -- approx 1500 cars at the last one) Next cruise is Saturday July 25th 6pm at the Gepps-X Home HQ ----------- Friday Night Cruises Adelaide (only been going for a cupla months but is getting at big as High Rollers already) Next cruise is THIS Friday night -- 8pm meet at the Marion Shopping Center ----------- Adelaide Hills Roads Cruise (this is a DRIVING cruise -- not just mainly a meet up like a few others BUT if you don't know the Adelaide hills roads very well --- use caution -- as some are a bit tricky to drive until you're used to them) Next cruise is Saturday August 1st 8pm starting at Stirling ----------- Adelaide Mystery Cruises (I have no idea about this one) Next cruise is THIS Saturday night 7pm starting at Marion Shopping Center ------------ Churchill Monthly Mega Meet (A meet up -- show & shine -- only) Was on Saturday just gone and I'm not sure when the next one is ------------- There are a few other things/groups/cruises around but that should keep ya interested for a while Also Join up with the Barra boys. Rob, Andy and Maz are the admin (I think they all have accounts on here but Rob is the only one that uses it) I nice bunch of people but don't let Rob suck you into wasting your rear tyres They run night cruises mainly but do a day cruise every now and then - usually on a Sunday - which have been great fun in the past https://www.facebook.com/groups/barrasa/ ========= Friday night Biz????

-
Well you suk............ How's the new bub? Everything alright now?
-
Not that anyone cares but I'm sick..... will someone make me chicken noodle soup please
-
^^ Head lifting? Ouch. Let me know if I can do something to help mate ------------------ The engine light just came on with the 380 tune installed and wouldn't clear when I stopped and re-started the car so I flashed the 400 tune into her and that cleared it. I'll give the tuner a ring tomorrow and let them know about it. Brett said that I probably wont notice any difference between the two tunes but -- Oh yes I can. It's a bit more punchy down low and seems to hold on a bit longer as well. Can't wait for AIR to run another street meet. Speaking of the drags, I went into my local Repco to order the Left Half Shaft today as I will swap the original out before it hits the quarter mile but hollllllly crap, they are friggen hopeless at the local shop so I organised with a mate of a mate that works for them in Adelaide to organise it for me. Now I remember why I don't deal with repco. I'm also gunna have to take the rear muffler off and re-align it coz it's vibrating something shocking at cold startup lately.........so friggen annoying especially since the car idles so nicely now that the injectors have been rebuilt.
-
lol........ no story here Tracy coz the no's have it
-
Yeah I know mick As I said to Jet, I was reading on one of the US Evo car forums about their experiences with the 76 and a couple have shown the same sort of differences 'to the norm' in results as my car shows You should ask Brett to send you the file to have a look at coz another pair of eyes that I trust goung through it ain't gunna hurt. That friggen vibration is annoying..... doing the speed limit of cause

Awesome weekend with the car and the best part is, I didn't break anything We had a big car cruise here in Radelaide on saturday night -- think there was close to 1500 cars there -- and I was really impressed with the fuel ecomony figures ( I had a bit of a 'play' with a few people during the night ). When I refilled the tank on the way home, even with all of the playing, the Fuel Log app on the phone showed 12.8l/100. Not bad aye! Because I asked for the boost to come on slowly, the car does feel quite a bit different to Bizkets car ( and what I remember Stigmata's car being like when I drove that ages ago ). Biz, with the same turbo upgrade, has heaps of boost as quick as possible and his car really does throw you through the seat into the back of the car..............such a brilliant feeling.........where as Roxy doesn't give that feeling. She's more ------- subtle. More ------ refined I reckon and pulling a bit of power out of her has stopped the 3rd gear tyre chirp - when the tryes are warmed up of cause. She has a bit more lag time sure, but when she hits full boost (20psi), the speedo needle moves so quickly it suprises the crap out of me every time. Since I broke the cv in the half shaft, I notice a slight vibration around 100kph + so I'm wondering if something may have been thrown out of the cv and done something to the Drive Shaft. I'll get a bloke to have a look at that when the left Half Shaft is replaced -- gunna do that just for the 'peace of mind' factor. Also, finally met ripped6 (Jared) on Staurday night out at Modbury. Big HP cars always have a gathering around them and when I recognised his number plate and went over to find him to introduce myself, there was probably more than a dozen people talking to him about his car and what a car it is.....that looks soooooo nice mate. Good job
-
I might take it for a drive to Qld to see the family one day then.......cheers Mick ---------------- Thanks for a 'positive' reply ---- that didn't hurt now did it As they don't tune these Fords on a daily basis, it took a while to get it 'just right' but the end result is just totally awesome and the best thing is, because Brett took his time to get it right, he now has a baseline for all (*) FG's

Being a G6, it came standard with the single pegger but I had Pit Lane install a TruTrac LSD last year when they did all of the other work. Yeah I understand about the afr's. I've read a few posts of people taking there cars to Sydney (for example) for a tune, going back to qld or nt and the local climate plays havok with the tune. I never plan on taking it to qld but having said that, I have a lot of relies on the sunshine coast so I shouldn't say "never" I guess

Have heard of some horrific stories out of that place I would suggest that you find somewhere else
-
I run 3 tunes 400 with a slow rising boost 360 with a quick hit of boost Valet tune (in case the car has to be left somewhere for service) All on 98 Just to give you something else to think of --- think about a trans tune....... talk to your tuner
-
Sleeper look for me and my 400 Turbo side will def give a bit quicker spool - if that's what you're after
-
And I thought that chics got rid of the 'rug' these days

Who's this wanker that's calling SA 'Gods Country' ??? Wanker [emoji4]

Where's the ad gone now??

Sooooo, have you all got a snack ready A couple of weeks ago, the G6 went back to the Dyno to get those couple of things adjusted coz I'm sure that you all understand that what happens on the dyno isn't necessarily what happens on the road. As mentioned above in a few posts, I really wanted to see the difference (on the dyno) between the standard FG turbo and the GTX..76 and Brett at APE was more than happy to adjust the things in the tune that were 'a bit' concerning to me. The first thing that we (Brett, Chris (the guy that did the first tune at APE) and I) found was that the dyno wasn't calibrated correctly therefore it was throwing up results that were outside of the Ford parameters -- I think that's what they said anyway -- so I left the car with them and the dyno was reset and the tunes adjusted accordingly but unfortunately the cars ECU 'bricked' itself and wouldn't accept any more changes. Oh no..........So sad. Seriously, I somehow knew it wasn't going to be a problem. Brett rang me to let me know what was happening and said that I can have the car back (coz he knew that everything was safe (ish) with the tune that was flashed to it) and told me that he had contacted Rob Herrod to get some advice as to why it may have bricked.... I went down to Adelaide to pick the car up and Brett told me to "be careful with it just in case"...............yeah right ------ lol ----- as he had wound the rubber band up to 419kw. Yeah that’s right – 419 on 98 Holly crap, it was a rocket ship, so I went out with a few friends that Friday night a fortnight ago and was playing with a mate and his 450kw VL Commy even though Brett told me to 'be careful'........wish I listened......bad Don, bad I absolutely shattered the inner CV of the Right (drivers) side Half Shaft............ooooppppppssssss. We had Roxy towed to 'my mate with the VLs' workshop and I grabbed a Repco half shaft Saturday arvo but they gave me the wrong one......farken Repco, plus we didn't have a 36mm socket for the hub nut so John (the VL owner) hit up the barra boys and club_fg pages on facebook and asked for help to get my car back on the road -- Cheers heaps to all those who responded or rang but a few other friends rocked up with a cupla bottles of JD for a 'drinkypoo' so John and his Mrs leant me their VF SS Wagon and I came home. Nice car ^^ Wrong shaft and they were closed when we realised. The funny thing about wrecking the shaft is that it didn't happen while we were playing.....it shat itself when I was on my way home as I made a left turn. All the hard time I gave it before this is what actually broke it but who cares, all fixed now. A few of us went out last weekend and I blew off two intake hose clamps.......stupid worm drive pieces of crap......so the next morning, I went over all of them and snapped one whilst I was tightening them up. Bomber sent me the link for the fancy clamps that he uses. I'll order them over the weekend so I don't have the problem of 'no boost' while I'm playing with an aftermarket S/C'd crappydoor ever again So anyway, it went back into Graham West (APE) on Wednesday just gone and Brett took over the final tuning of the G6 and un-bricking of my ECU and even though I know the reason for it bricking, I'm not sure if the other people concerned would like me to post the (in the end, simple 'ish) reason etc. As Brett is keeping ratter at Pit Lane in the loop about my car, ratter can explain what went on when my ECU froze up with the Xcal3 if he wants too but I won't..........coz I might get it wrong anyway and give the wrong info. Gotta give a huge shoutout to Rob Herrod for being able to pinpoint the cause and suggest a fix for it. Thanks heaps mate That's twice that Herrod Motorsport has helped me and my car out. Cheers to both Rob and John. ------------------------------------------------- The final tunes with my new GTX3576r turbo have surprised the crap out of me and remember that the ONLY other changes besides the turbo were the Fuel Module/Pump and a Bosch Fuel Regulator being fitted for safety. I never thought that it was possible to get this power out of a GTX..76r on BP98 but as has been said to me, a combination of tune, good mods and a car that "just keeps making Torque" will reward you. Brett said that it was a bit of a struggle keeping the torque down to try and protect my ZF coz it just kept making soooo much. I asked for the boost to come on a bit slower than normal for these baby turbos but that's just me. I spoke to Bomber and Biz about it and seriously, I would probably kill myself if I had 20psi at 1500 rpm on the street but the best thing I reckon is that this little Garrett turbo lets you tune it YOUR way. Looking at the printout, it looks more like a GTX..82 and a couple of people have now made the same comment. Not sure how it will run down the quarter mile but looking at the dyno sheet and feeling what it drives like, I reckon that it should do OK Huge thanks to Pit Lane - again - Cheers heaps Mick - you're still looking out for my car....awesome Chris but especially Brett West at Graham West Workshops (APE) here in Adelaide, cheers for a fantastic tune. I have no problems with recommending Graham West Workshops to tune a modded Ford Turbo. Excellent service and communication guys.....Cheers. And just to swell his head a bit, I gotta thank Jet for giving me heaps of his time and walking me through all of the dyno printouts and ALL of the dyno screen shots that I took from the first tunes put into Roxy and guiding me in the right direction to make sure I asked the tuners to look at a few areas so the tune was able to end up being the best it could be ----- for me, my driving style and my car. --------------------- Oh and one more thing My exhaust note from the Nizpro - not only while cruising but also under power - has changed quite a lot. It has lost that hollow, tinny sound and now has a nice deep throat in its note <-- hehe I'm awesome.... I guess that having 6 injectors that all work properly and timing and spark to suit what they're doing makes more difference than I ever thought. Just gotta fix this one v-band that still leaks and try and work out how to completely close the valve when the cars at idle and slow cruise.

After the arse scratch of cause

That is awesome........good work Bomber Pic of 'when finished' please

it's gumtree......that's the 'required' way isn't it???? make sure you mention that it can go interstate to get modded coz a lot of people won't buy a car from interstate these days coz so hard to transfer rego
