South Australia used to have a huge car scene that was respected throughout the country up until the early to mid 'naughties' when the 5-0 - and rightly so - stepped in to put an end to it all due to there being so many rednecks thinking they ruled the streets AND other road users. Various smaller groups were set up over the next few years but with 'Big Brother' watching over them so closely, most of these stop organising Meet & Greets and Cruises over time but now Adelaide is back into full swing with different car events happening almost every Friday and Saturday night. Most of these are advertised on Facebook and as I don't use it and I know alot of other South Aussie members of this forum don't either, I thought I'd start a thread to post upcoming events to help keep people informed so if they wish, they can be a part of the awesome car scene that we have in Adelaide atm. A couple of friends are going to send me info on Car Cruises and Meet & Greets that are organised on Facebook which I will post but this thread can be used by anyone........ Please keep the discussion to the car events as there are threads already opened for general chat etc.. Feel free to post pics of your car at any of the events and if you know of an event that is being run on Facebook or anywhere else, please post it ----- If it's a fortnight or more away, don't forget to re-post it closer to the event time. Also, I have been told that 'Most' of the events organised are open for anyone to see the page on Facebook therefore please post the link to the page as well. If it is a Closed Group, ie. only people signed into Facebook are able to Like & View the page, please say this so people that don't use social media know not to waste their time clicking on a link.

Just went for a drive down there and it doesn't look like anything has been done.. A few piles of dirt in a few areas but I can't get in as the gate was locked so I don't even know if the old circuit has been dug up yet

The page on the Peregrine Gorup (Sam Shahin and his brothers that own On The Run) that's building it is gone but it has a drag strip, plans have been approved for the Mark Scaffe designed F1/V8 SC circuit which will handle all types of lower classes right down to Go Karts, an Air Strip (hopefully that will also be used for 1 mile races and finally a 4WD park. There is gunna be a huge (truck stop type) On The Run and a massive Hotel - accommodation on site as well Gunna cost a dollar or two all up. I can't find the plans for it on their website any more -- must of been deleted -- but if it's built according to the plans I've seen, it's gunna be an awesome developement. 13 minutes to Tailen Bend is a winner for me. I haven't seen any more info on it in the last few months though. I'm not even sure if they have turned soil on it yet Johno

A mate has that unit on his vl turbo and has to take it apart eack month to clean it as it jams. Makes a big difference on his car so will be interesting to know the difference that it might show on a Ford

Hiya mate A lot of your list will be a good learning curve for you (if you are a bit mechanically minded) Washer nozzle ...... chuck an air gun on a compressor and blow it through - from the bottle/pump. That should clear out the obstruction. Wheel bearing ...... just had to replace the lhr on my car (FG G6ET) and it was quicker and a whole lot cheaper to find an entire good second hand assy from the wreckers....85 bucks. IF you would rather have yours fixed, the FG bearing price is around 150 or 290'ish for bearings and a new hub. Not sure if parts are different in your model car. Add about 2 hours + for labour to r&r and install new parts. Any suspension bushes that are ripped/stuffed really should be replaced and that includes the diff bush........ if you're in VIC, hit up Pit Lane as they had a special going a while back. As for the other stuff on your list, others will know more than me. Good luck with it [emoji3] Edit Cos the car is a bit old, replace both engine mounts - just to be safe...... about 150 for genuine I think

^^ whs If dropping the box down gets it to crank then I'd suggest a pinched wire/cable as well. Check everything at the back of the engine - something may be going on there Hope ya get it sorted [emoji3]

Spend the money and buy the PWR unit or run the risk of the standard Ford unit stuffing up....remember, it is only a small percentage that do fail but the second they fail - it's already too late. I'd also like to know what people you are referring too. I hope it's not all the "experts" on facebook
