  1. I also finish cleaning it when I get there coz gets dirty coming down the freeway.. What you said about interstate was a huuuuuge part of why I didn't go back to Melbourne to get the turbo fitted and retuned --- that, what happens if scenario already showed itself with a stuffed injector (I racked my brain and reckon the injectors were only 2 months old) but way tooooooo harrrrd to drive back to vic
  2. Wait to Biz reads that you might take it back to Simon. [emoji3] The tuna merri-go-round in radelaide is why a lot of ppl wanted reports on my car once it was finished at Bretts Saturday night....... I usually get there about 5ish so I don't have to fight for a park Jarrad
  3. Whats punkbuster? Is that the bot that says you're a cheat?
  4. The first tune they did on my car was a bit 'all over the place' as Jet will confirm but after my ECU bricked itself and he got onto Rob Herrod, all the graphs look excellent on the final tunes. He showed me the timing graphs but I didn't take pics of it coz .......well I'm not really sure why I didn't actually. He had sent the tune file to Rob to check to see if that was the reason why the ECU bricked and you can bet your arse that Rob pointed him in the right direction with some of the maps etc. High Rollers Saturday night so we can chat more yeah ---- or are you busy?
  5. Hudson's Race S.A. Charity Cruise for Cure Brain Cancer Foundation Sunday, September 6th 2:00pm - 5:00pm (Fathers Day) Gepps X Home HQ - Main North Road THIS IS A CRUISE FOR CHARITY From the Facesux page Open Group https://www.facebook.com/events/386658721531537/
  6. Do you have a Wavetrac installed demon?
  7. Why is mine so unfriggenpredictable then and what can I do about it?? I just swapped the oil out so I'll have a bit of a play in the next few days to see if new dyno juice makes a difference
  8. Now that I've replaced both of the Half Shafts, I thought about the diff...... in particular the Diff oil so I did a bit or research and the jury is out on how often you should change the oil and since Roxy has done 25000k's on the TrueTrac LSD, I decided now is the time. I put the car up on the hoist and when checking everything over I got a bit concerned with the amount of play when rocking the tail shaft. The trans is in Neutral (coz on hoist) while I'm rocking it. Is this amount of play normal? So, back to the oil. The Eaton website says to use Mineral oil in their TrueTrac and I couldn't find anything on the Harrop site so because I'm quite impresses with the ULX110 oil I put in the engine, I checked out their diff oil range. They make an 80w90 mineral and an 80w140 mineral oil - both with whatever additive is needed for an LSD so I sent off an email to them telling them about my driving style, the car etc. and asked which would be better. They sent an email back saying the 80w90 coz I live in Adelaide and my driving style. I took a trip down to town and had a bit of searching in the auto parts stores until I found a 5 litre bottle ($95) and swapped the oil out today. It took 2.05 litres until it just started to drip out the fill hole. Not sure what oil was put in it when the LSD was installed but it was well past its use by date. Boy did it stink. I'm wondering if I should get it tested so I know whats going on with it or just swap it out again when I do the engine oil in 5 thou and then again every 2nd oil change. What do other people do with a TrueTrac diff? Over the last few weeks, I've developed a 'clunk' somewhere in the rear when I select either 1st or reverse and let the car move that first inch or so. I'm wondering if one of the CV's in my new Repco half shafts is a bit sloppy. 5 year - 100,000k warrenty so no probs if one lets go........ just a huge PITA.
  9. I got some overboost last night on gear change and I know I did because I HAVE A BOOST GAUGE.............hehehe Hit the recall on the gauge this morning to see what it maxed at - following the tuners instructions to report anything weird to him. I had the 20 (& a bit) psi tune in and have the warning light set to 22psi and it maxed at 23psi. Gotta be happy with that ay! Jet 512 distance to empty this time and that includes A LOT of playing on Friday night with John & his VL (again lol) Loving the fuel economy Cheers Rab Tell me when to make the booking Brad No Probs......ring once she's home if ya gunna come out. Trish is gunna text me the maps each night from now on The weather will be warming up over the next cupla weeks so we might have to organise a Pub drive for food. Who can recommend a decent pub meal? Or even BBQ/Park area to make it kid friendly???? --------------------------------------- Jarrad From the little I've learnt, I have to agree with the boys above Even before reading their posts, my first thought was the Actuator is probably giving up or port jobby isn't working properly so I'm pretty proud of myself over here I am. I can't remember what actuator is fitted to your car........hopefully not Garrett Didn't that cool bloke ( ) do the port on a new housing from Sonic? or am I thinking of someone else I'm still not 'quite' sure IF Bretts mainline does read high or not but that's besides the point and doesn't matter here. My point is - why not go back and have a chat with him.........coz -- look at what he's done for my car
  10. Love PayPal...... great to see a company willing to take a lose (no matter what the value) to make surea user isn't out of pocket coz of a scammer. When the PSN was hacked a few years back, I had my savings account linked to my online account and $13.50 was taken out. I told the bank straight away and they said that once the PSN is up and running to go in and see them. I did that and the bank put the money back in my account and said that PSN wouldn't give them any details so was easier for them to refund it. I miss the Nigerian Prince. At least he sent an email
  11. Just in case people don't see it in their Tapafark feeds, I've opened a thread to list all of the Facesux (and other) car events that are being held each weekend in Adelaide and surrounds these days......That way, they're all in one place and easy for everyone to see. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91037-upcoming-car-events/
  12. Redline Society This Saturday night 6pm Fairview Park Shopping Centre This is advertised as a Meet & Greet and they are all about JDM cars and we all know there are quite a few VERY nice ones in Adelaide Open Group https://www.facebook.com/events/466090056893982/
  13. Just got the junk mail out of the letterbox.....For the first time I got some Foxtel crap. They must need customers
  14. Rude bitch Edit Rude drunk bitch
  15. Half Shafts are supposed to move up & down, hence why they have CV's in them therefore a bit more explanation is needed here please [emoji15]
  16. ^^ If I'm in 2nd gear and flick TC off (don't really need to do this anymore coz most of the time, TC doesn't function), my car will flick 'immediately' it looses traction to the left so I give it a bit of left hand down on the wheel to keep front wheels straight and everythings sweet - lookatmelookatme - but all of a sudden and without warning, it will flick over to the right. Usually I can keep going by right hand down on the wheel but unfortunately it's anyones guess what will happen next. It could flick either way or pull straight. Once I had it close to 90 degrees (facing the kerb) and coz I'm a scared little girl, I got off the pedal straight away and another time it flicked me past 90 degree to the right ------------ and there was a friggen semi coming the other way. I don't even try doing anything like that in 3rd gear with the bigger turbo on coz not knowing what the back will do would be the difference between me driving it home and posting a pic on instagram with the caption "well, that happened" with the mangled mess on a tow truck. IMHO, the TrueTrac is a bit 'harsh' when it sends whatever percentage of torque to each wheel that it decides is needed.......needs to be softened a bit I reckon
  17. yeah Matt each transponder sets everything to its last set position for that key Not sure about radio as I only listen to Nova and use one key
  18. I'm famous...............woohoooo As you would know then, I spat out a CV on a half shaft with 400kw (it was actually 419kw when it let go) but I know of cars in SA with 500 + (or close to) that haven't had a prob with half shafts but keep an eye on them 'just in case' If one does let go, just look at the Repco replacement. NSA 1038 is left and NSA 1039 is right iirc. Bigger CV's than the Ford items. 28 spline Hub and 30 spline Diff end I just went through all of my notes about my car on the computer and it was Harrop that I rang to check on the diffs max power and the one you link above is (as far as I'm aware) the one fitted to my car. A good idea to do the bearings and replace all diff bushes while the cradle is out.
  19. Hey choo choo driver I had a second key made when I bought my car coz it only came with one. Had it done at a locksmith that the ford car yard suggested and it has it's own memory.........think it cost 340 or something rediculous though
  20. When I was researching diffs, I gave (I can't remember who know - eaton maybe???) a ring and asked them if it will support about 450kw as that was/is the max I would ever take my car to and responded with a "sh*t yeah it will" so I'm guessing they're plenty strong enough Done 25000k since pit lane had it fitted for me so I just bought some oil to swap... will be interesting to see what comes out of it.... I'll do it as soon as I can get the use of a mates hoist
  21. On my current license, I have marked 'No' for organ donor simply because of all the damage I did to my body with booze. I'm in good health now (besides all the arthritis) so when it comes up for remewal on a cupla years time I'm gunna be changing it to 'Yes' for the exact reasons Fluff said
  22. With normal evey day driving, you won't see or feel any difference at all. The truetrac just does what it has to do.. Under extreme conditions (shall we say), I get caught out a bit as it directs the tourqe so quickly - and coz I'm old and the reflexes aren't as quick as they used to be - the car flicks me in the wrong direction every now and then but as I said, only coz I'm too slow to catch it
  23. I only get half that again on the rears Pete :(
