Thanks for the positive feed back guys, much appreciated. TER80D the pictures were shot on an entry level DSLR that I lent from a friend. It was a Nikon D5000 with the standard 18-55, so nothing special. A little bit of love in Photoshop and that's the result.

Hi Spinning, I think the decision between an F6 and the GT is ultimately a personal choice and not a case of 'which one is better'. For me, I've never really been a V8 man, so the appeal of the GT is somewhat limited. I have no regrets purchasing the F6 (my 3rd turbo FPV). We all know the performance facts and figures of these cars (stock) and both are a great drive, but for me the F6 'feels' quicker. Alot of this has to do with the way it delivers the power (this is only exaggerated when modified). The GT has a very linear power delivery and can end up feeling a bit boring IMO. Dont get me wrong, the GT still has plenty of poke and to be honest I could probably drive the GT quicker than my F6 but it just isn't as exciting. I dont do track days, I dont go to the drags, I just drive my car on the street and for that the F6 is more enjoyable. If you are lured by the sound of a V8 then I would say its a no brainer... get the GT. The other consideration is also cost. Assuming you are buying new (or at least like for like in second hand market) there is circa $10K difference between the F6 and GT, and more again if you opt for the GT-P (worth it IMO, the brakes and seats are definitely better). This can be alot to justify especially if you plan to modify the car aswell. As I mentioned earlier, it really is personal choice. Each has their own appeal. Take them both out for a test drive and you'll soon make up your own mind as to which way to go.

Wheels are Giovanna Dalars in matte black. 20x8.5 all round on the GT-P and staggered 20x8.5 front & 20x10 on the F6 The Herrod CAI was a straight swap, no mods required, at least not with the PW pipes, I doubt it would be any different with the factory piping. Sounds great IMO, not too loud but enough to know its there. Exactly what I was looking for as I didn't want to relocate the battery. Build quality is great and looks OEM.

If your trying to hook this up to the factory ICC then you'll need to get yourself a line level converter of some sort... Most stores that stock car audio should have them. Cost from $30-$150

Thought I'd share a fews pics of the girls from the weekend.

82 degree is standard or recommended replacement?

Any idea what the factory thermostat is rate at? And what the peoples choice of cooler thermostat is?
-
Never had it on the dyno in stock form so not sure on the exact gains. I can only assume it was around 250-270ish in stock trim. Car feels awesome on the road now, very strong through the mid range, roll on from 80mk/h or so is just brutal It easily turns the 275 rears now. Going back to have the tune adjusted slightly as the transmission (shifts) is a little firm for my liking, feels good if your on it but when driving normally they arent as smooth as I'd like. Also the car runs a little hotter so might have the fans adjusted to come on a little earlier, Im hoping that will drop running temps, either that or a cooler thermostat. All in all though very happy with the car and the tune.

And the final result... This is @ 14psi

Bit of an update for those interested. Spent all day (and night) yesterday fitting up the new parts.. Very impressed with the quality of the PW gear. Old vs new cooler... FYI, metal cutting is required to fit the cooler. I know many have posted that they didnt need to but I cant see how you could make it fit otherwise. Also decided to replace the cat. Stock vs 100cpi Venom.. And after a long day, everything back together awaiting tune on Monday...
-
For the sake of a few hundred bucks I might look at changing the cat. Just want to avoid having to pull the turbo off. Also want to avoid E85 as it's not readily available in my area.
-
Yeah, standard cat. Didnt want to touch the exhaust or turbo just yet. Will look at that later down the track.

So I finally decided to pull the trigger on a few performance mods for the F6. Parts for round 1 of mods are as follows - PW Stage 2 cooler PW Surge tank & 044 pump 1000cc injectors Herrod CAI Xcal 3 Plan to fit the parts next weekend, then tune on Monday. Anyone wanna take a guesstimate on what it will make, car is a 2010 FG auto.

4" Turbo Side Or Plazmaman Factory Style Intake
PLAYRZ replied to fletty's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
I'd also consider KPM's new intake ($595) or perhaps Herrods soon to be released intake (price???). -
The OP picked it up from a place called Coswell in Hoppers Crossing (VIC). $24.95 a can.

Check out some of the guides and video from dipyourcar.com http://www.dipyourca...e/4?shop_param=

Unlikely. The factory sub comes with its own dedicated amp so wiring is run from that, not the ICC. Its possible they have made provisions for it but I would be very surprised if that was the case. Should be simple enough to check, just pull down the rear parcel shelf cover from inside the boot and check.

Aftermarket Seats In A Fg. Anyone Done It?
PLAYRZ replied to PLAYRZ's topic in Interior & Exterior Workshop
Yeah the car has airbags in the seats that's one of the reasons I'm curious if anyone has successfully changed them before.
