I have a Force 6, not many of us around. Only mods thus far is suspension, rims & custom tune. It's due to have a Stage 2 Nizpro kit fitted shortly so that should spice things up.

:banghead: Love it.... Might be trading in the Force 6 sooner than I thought!

I had my car booked in at my local tuner for an X-Cal1 tune next week, but after this event unfolded I contacted him and have now decided to try the VCM Suite software. He currently uses this with great success on Holdens LS1/2 so is familiar with the software, but has yet do do any tuning with it on Fords. Obviously this will be a learning exercise for both myself and my tuner. I have volunteered my car as a 'test mule' for the new VCM Suite software with my tuner and will be more than happy to share my results with everyone in the coming weeks.

Funny you should ask that. I havent done any performance mods yet, but I made a few calls today regarding pricing on a flash tuner, injectors, fuel pump and a few other bits and pieces. Not sure how far I wanna go with the mods but Im startin to get the feeling I need to do something with it.

In my case, cost for lowering the car was bout $750. Breakdown is approx $300 for springs (F&R), $200 for camber kit (L&R) and $250 for fitting including wheel alignment. You could do it alot cheaper. I have seen the springs for as cheap as $230, some would argue that you dont need a camber kit, and you could install the springs yourself, so if you really wanted to you could do it for less than $300. I was happy to pay a bit more for the luxury of being able to just drop the car off and have it done properly. Handling wise the car is much the same. The ride is definately firmer, and combined with the larger wheels you feel every bump in the road. This doesnt bother me, but some people wouldnt like the change in ride comfort. Couldnt really comment on the pros and cons of drag racing with these springs but if I had to guess I'd say its probably not the best option. Russ, fairly sure you can have these springs compressed. Not sure on cost.

LOL. Yeah I know, the mods will start soon Im sure. I keep reading bout all the stuff you guys are doing to your cars and cant help but wanna do the same. Just not sure where to start. Im keen for the Stage 2 Nizpro kit but dont know if I want (need) to spend $8K.

Thanks for the input guys, I might have to revisit the spacing on the front. I wasnt aware that the calipers could/will expand so much when hot. I'll try and get some measurements and aim for at least 5mm. I really dont want to send the wheels back to supplier, cos its been such a pain in the ass to even find something that fits, that I like, and can afford.

Yeah, OK now but I really didnt want to use a spacer. The thing that annoyed me the most was I was VERY specific about brake fitment prior to ordering the wheels and was told numerous times by the supplier that they WOULD fit.

After months of hunting I finally decided to treat the car to an early Xmas present. Wheels are Giovanna Dalar in matte black with machined face 20x8.5 (+35 offset) all round. Brake clearance was a MAJOR issues as I'm sure every other FPV owner has experience. Unfortunately the company who supplied these wheels (they will remain nameless) either dont know what they are talking about or simply lied to me to make the sale as these will DID NOT FIT over the Brembo brakes. I was forced to use a 3mm spacer on the front to get enough clearance. The suspension (Kings SL & SSL) is going in on Monday so will post the after pics as a comparison.

It was on the highway. Speed dropped from 100 to 80. Obviously I wasnt doing either of those speeds.

Once. (Never again) Got clocked @ 213km/h in an 80km/h zone. Police were NOT happy.

If you can stretch the budget then a BF Phoon would be a better option, but either way a worthwhile upgrade. They do feel like two different cars. Insurance will jump up another 50% or more so check it out with your insurer before you make the purchase, its different for everyone.

29 2007 BFII Force 6

My BA XR6T was 2003 with approx. 64K Km's on the clock, completely stock apart from the wheels and suspension. I got $23K for it. The Force 6 ended up @ just under $50K on road.

LOL.. not sure if I want to start modding it just yet.. I hear its VERY addictive once you start. A set of 20"s and lowered will be first stop, then I MIGHT get a custom tune and see how it goes. I'm really trying to hold myself back from getting too carried away with the engine mods. Dont know how long that will last though
