  1. Dont get me wrong, the Force series is a fantastic car, thus why I purchased one, but I wouldnt consider them collectable. If they had done something a little more with the interior to make it feel a bit more special and upmarket to justify the extra $10K over the F6 then perhaps they would have done better??? Case in point.... Force 6's for sale VS F6 for sale
  2. Henz is correct, the Force 6 is mechanically the same as the F6 and only available in 6 speed auto. In the cosmetics department it has colour coded body kit (with bobtail on bootlid) & chrome driving light surrounds. Interior was only available in leather (either charcoal or regency red), upgraded steering wheel, woodgrain inserts on door and dash & chrome handles. Seating is the same as Fairmont Ghia (8 way power) with FPV embossed on the headrest. The vehicle is fitted with almost everything, only options available were towbar, sunroof, satnav & 6 pot brake upgrade. To my knowledge less than 100 Force 6's were built. I have heard a few numbers thrown around, apparently they were not numbered sequentially and only 69 were ever made but I owned build #80, so who knows for sure? In my experience they have not (and will not) retain any real value even with the limitied numbers produced. I purchased mine in 2007 as new and traded it late last year for $30K (56XXXkms on the clock) in excellent condition. It went on later to sell for just under $40K which was only a few thousand (if that) more than a similar spec F6 or RSpec. IMO the Force series was a parts bin special before the release of the FG. There was only limited numbers made because there was no market for them not because they were "special" or "limited".
  3. Hate Commodores with Chev badges...
  4. Just after a few opinions on a change to my current wheels. Currently the wheels look like this.. But I am considering making the change to this... What are your thoughts? Make em white or keep em black?
  5. Looks to be just a diagnostic and user front end app. You would likely still require to have an Xcal3 or 4(???). Would make custom tunes very user friendly, ie change for different fuels and conditions. Sure you could hook it up via video out on an iPod to the ICC to display custom gauges, that'd be sweet.
  6. Came across this product from SCT today.... interesting. http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/2353/ Anyone got an idea if this product will be released in Aus for our Falcons?
  7. Anyone know the difference between the "new" and the old PWR intercooler?
  8. Rims are the Giovanna Dalars in matte black 20x8.5 (+38 offset I think) all round. Rears run a 245/35/20, fronts current run 225/35/20. Given that these were previously fitted to my BF I wasnt able to get anything wider to fit the front but the FG appears to have more clearance around the suspension arm so I am guessing you may be able to fit a 235/35 or 245/35 on the front? Perhaps somebody can confirm this? Roof, your sig shows you are running 359rwkw. What mods have you done thus far to get those numbers?
  9. I have just fitted that particular K-MAC kit to my FG on the weekend. Wheel alignment is being done tomorrow so will need to get a few kms down before I can make an assessment.
  10. No, they require 3mm spacer for front to clear the brakes. I did consider it but I think I'll leave that to the V8 boys. I have driven a few GT/GT-P's and found the bonnet bulge to be quite distracting. Could just be that I'm not used to it. The photos make it look darker than it actually is, but now that you mention it I might need to get them windows blacked up a little more
  11. Approx $2000 but that was fitting it myself, so probably add $300-400 for labor??? That also included K-Mak Adjustable Camber & Caster kit. I noticed Pat (Wholesale Suspension) had advertised the Bilstein shock for $1100 to your door which is less than I paid. I agree, but I'm guessing the car will drop maybe another 5mm once it settles. I had the same springs in my BF and they dropped quite a bit over about 6-12 months so hopefully these will do the same.
  12. After a few unforeseen delays with parts, I finally got around to putting the new suspension and wheels in over the weekend. Still need to get a wheel alignment done but very happy with the results thus far. Parts used as follows: Bilstein F4-BE5-G639-MO Front Shocks Bilstein F4-BE5-H286-MO Rear Shocks Kings KFFL-57SL Front Springs? Kings KFRL-68SSL Rear Springs Also fitted Kings shorten bump stops all round.
  13. Suspension has been ordered today, all going well it should be fitted up before the weekend. Will post some pics once its done. Thanks for the positive feedback on the car guys, appreciated.
  14. Yeah, the Force 6 was the best car I've ever owned so it was a hard decision to trade it. I've kept the wheels as per image below so will fit these to the F6 shortly. Should look good.
  15. Picked up my new car on Saturday. Traded the Force 6 in, which I was sad to see go but must admit I am loving the FG F6 2010 FPV F6, auto, white, leather, reverse camera, tint & mats. Build # 993. Hoping to get the suspension (Bilstein/Kings combo) and wheels (20" Giovanna Dalars matte black) on next week, then look into a tune.
  16. I just ordered replacement rotors and pads for mine. I went for the DBA 5000 rotors & Bendix SRT pad, which are apparently new series of pads. They should be going on next week. I'll let you know how they go if your interested.
  17. Thanks for the positive feedback guys, much appreciated.
  18. Car has been dyno'd, it's currently putting out 271rwkw with tune only. From memory the Force6/8's were available in Conquer, Ego, Lightning Strike, Neo, Silhouette, Silk, Vixen & White. The cars come full loaded with the only options being 6 pot brembo upgrade, sunroof & sat nav. I'm also led to believe that only 99 of the Force 6's were produced/sold. I've got lucky number 80
