  1. Happy Birthday Glen93!

  2. Happy Birthday Glen93!

  3. Haven't needed a panel beater myself yet (touch wood) but I know a couple. I've heard it's under the hood along seams and around the hinges. Not sure what the explanation for that is though
  4. Hey everyone there has been a number of times when I've told people I own a G6E Turbo and one of the first things they mention is rust. Apparently FG Falcons are known for having issues with rust (among those people were a couple of panel beaters). I don't know anymore about it than that which is why I was wondering if anyone had any more info on this issue. Like where the rust starts, which part of the car is worst affected, why does this issue exist, is it every car etc. any information would be appreciated. Cheers!
  5. Well I picked the car up this afternoon. Turns out the battery was faulty so that got replaced. They found the same error code I did (P023D - Manifold Absolute Pressure Turbo Charger boost sensor A). I didn't get much information from the girl at the counter, but the error code has been cleared. I'll double check that myself too be sure. Does anyone have any information on that error code? Like how I may have got it, or what they could have done too clear it?
  6. Hey guys the car was dropped off at the mechanic this morning I used an OBD error code reader I borrowed last night and it gave me 2 error codes. One was "Battery Voltage out of Range" and the other was "Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor A Correlation" Neither means a great deal too me but I passed that information into the mechanic. Ill let you know what the damage is hopefully tonight
  7. Ah that would make more sense. I probably could have had a look around but I figured when people had a question they just created a topic and waited for the feed back to come in. Also, I found with some of the threads you come in at the tail end of the comments and you sometimes get people just chatting away or arguing a point that's strayed from the original topic. This way, I (mostly) get straight answers/responses straight up.
  8. I do appreciate the offer of giving me a hand if need be, and ill be sure to keep that in mind
  9. I'll let you know how I go. and I would love to dyno it but $$$ is my main issue. (20 year old 3rd year apprentice)
  10. and btw thanks for all the comments it was good to get some feedback. I don't think I'll be doing anything experimental to my car any time soon (especially if there is the potential for any damage). A 20 year old asking about turbo flutter haha I can imagine what that looks like.
  11. Hey everyone I've been looking into getting my G6E Turbo to flutter and apparently its relatively easy too do. Basically, you remove the blow-off valve, and block both the small vacuum hose and the large hose closest too the front of the car. Then put a small oil breather on the large pipe closest to the windscreen. Seems simple enough. I was wondering if anyone else has done this or has heard of anyone doing the same thing? I've heard some people say it can be bad for the turbo and could cause some issues. Does anyone think doing this could cause any damage to the car? Any feedback would be great, thanks guys!
  12. Thanks for all the replies guys! I've pretty well kept it off the road since it started playing up but finally getting it booked in tomorrow (now that I have some $$$). Once I've got too the bottom of it I'll be sure to let you know
