Hi all, I have recently noticed intermittent noise coming from the front of the engine, first I thought it may have been the timing chain but after closer inspection I think it is the plastic pullie at the front top of the engine. It is not constant and seems worse when it is hot or wet, has anyone else had this problem and if so did you take it back to ford, I still have a couple of months warranty. Thanks in advance Deano
  4. Hi all, just after a bit of advice as too when the 4 speed auto in a BA should be serviced and if there are any special requirements ie type of fluid to use. My car has only done 18,000km and I am not sure when I should have the auto done. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Deano
  5. I had this problem from time to time, eventually the car went into limp mode and rang Ford who had it flat bedded to dealer who initially thought throttle position sensor but ended up replacing the entire throttle body, no probs since. Deano

  7. Mine did the same thing, had to get it flat bedded to ford and at first they thought it was the throttle position sensor but turned out that the throttle body itself was fcuked. Deano

    New Rotors

    Hi all, I wast just reading the thread on DBA rotors and I am interested but I have 2 questions, how difficult to change just the front rotors and will I need to put new pads in for the new rotors and what type of pads suit these. Thanks in advance Deano
  10. Yeah thanks guys, it turned out that the throttle body and the throttle position senser had to be replaced. All ok after warranty fix. Deano

Hey Guys, I need some advice, started the T this morning and all going fine until she start idling aroung 2200rpm engine light comes on and car will not go any higher than around 40kmh, engine light still on, tried restarting three or four times and reflashing back to factory setting but no change, it also running rough. Does anyone have any idea as to what may cause this, any help appreciated. Thanks Deano
  12. Hey Phevor, There was a thread on turning the seatbelt warning off some time ago, I did it about 10 months ago and no more warning bells. Sorry I can't recall on how to do it though, it was something like turn on ignition buckle seat belt turn ignition off and so on. Deano

Hi all, I have a slight problem which I need some advice on, on odd occasions the engine management warning light will come on after start up with the engine running but no response when the accelerator is pressed. If I restart the car all is ok, what would cause this? The other issue is that I have an edit and wonder if this problem needs to be rectified by Ford will the error code if any be wiped when I flash back to standard mode prior to taking it back to Ford. Heys guys, after having an edit custom tune done during the week I have noticed when I have the transmission in manual mode (seq shift) and shifting manually from 1st to second under accelleration it clunks into second with the rear wheels giving a little chirp. I have a standard auto transmission and was wondering if this is something that is adjusted when the custom tune is done and if this is to harsh for a standard trans, should I take it back for a softer gear change. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Deano

Hey guys, a couple of months ago I had a Nizpro edit and tune done on my T which I was delighted with, the engine now seems to have a slight ping under heavy acceleration which it didn't do after the custom tune. I am not sure whether it is the petrol or whether I should return to Nizpro and get the lads to check it out. Is this potentially damaging even though it is only minimal pinging and only when given it some stick. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks Deano

Hi all, I know similar threads have been posted before but some advice would be appreciated, I have what appears to be a split across the tread of one of my front tyres on the T, they have only done 10,000k's and I was wondering what the best way to handle this is regarding warranty and also if this is a dangerous situation or what? thanks in advance Deano

  21. Hi all, I am a little confused as to how many kw's at the crank a car would be if it was running 254rwks, I think I read somewhere that you loose approx 22% through the drive train is this correct. Thanks Deano

Hey guys, I had around 35lites of Optimax sitting in plastic containers for around 2 and a half weeks and when I put in in the car I thought I could hear a slight amount of pinging under acceleration, could this be because the fuel had lost some of its potentcy sitting in containers. I put some octane booster in the tank and it apppears this has stopped the pinging. Any advice would be appreciated. Ta Deano

    Hi guys, I had previously had the edit and tune performed on my T which I wasn't entirely happy with so I booked it in with Nizpro to let them weave their magic last friday. Wow what a difference it feels like a new engine has been dumped in the T, when they first put in on the dyno it was at 220rwkw and when they were finished around 4 hours later the car is at 252rwks and the power is an even pull right up to around 5500rpm. They also fixed the surging idle on start up and the traction control problems I was having, and to top it all off I had a courtesy call from Dave at Nizpro today to check that everything was ok, I can't recommend them highly enough and they spent one and half hours explaining everything to me while they were doing the tune, btw this is a totally stock T.
