  1. True, that may have been the case but, my wife has twice since been the beneficiary of very large sums of money, that would have been the perfect opportunity to pack her bags and go.
  2. I've said it before and there was quite a heated debate that ensued. I find that there is a lot of hostility against the thought that there could quite possibly be an acual God out there. I'm not one to make assumptions, but, the possibility of hostility here on this forum is quite high. Even in the "off topic" part of the forum, a healthy debate on God is sometimes too much for some people and they will play the, "this is a car fourum" card, "so you and your God can just piss off" So here it is folks, - - - - God has been the answer to all of my problems in life since I put my faith in him. I will share just one of the things I can attribute directly to my God, the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ. (There has been many, many more) I had been married for 7 years and the 7 year itch was hard apon me, I was dissatisfied with my relationship and basically wanted to upgrade to a newer model. My life was not to unusual (apart from a lot of world travel, which is similar today) the usual, drinking, smoking and drug taking that a lot of Australian's find quite normal. God showed me the fact that we are here one minute and gone the next by the death of a close friend. At the time a guy at work had been sharing the gospel with me, how Jesus Christ had paid for my soul by dying on the cross for my sin, and rose from the dead on the 3rd day, over coming death and sin. So on the day of my friends death I repented of my sin and put my faith in Jesus Christ and was born again. When I told my wife what I had done her reaction was that she wanted to leave me. I thought that was a pretty drastic form of action, but hey, no skin off my nose, I wanted a new model anyway. That was 17 years ago, we are still together, I love my wife more now than I ever have. I believe that God held our relationship together, for a reason I have no explanation for I lost any desire to trade my wife in for a new model, and she lost all desire to leave me. She has not become a born again believer, she just accepts my faith. I would love it if she would chose to believe in Jesus Christ, but I will not force her to do anything. I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, I can still swear on the odd occasion, and sometimes I drink 2 much. I know in my heart of hearts that there is a God. I'm not trying to convince anyone here to search for God, but if you do, I can guarantee that you will find him. You can flame me all you like, I'm a big boy, but just so you can be accurate with your flaming, I have studied a lot of religions and belief systems and found them all lacking in credibility. I have headed into the Christianity of the Bible with an open mind and God has blessed me with things I never dreamed of. People have said that I chose God because of weakness, and a closed mind. I chose God because there is so much more to life than what we see
  3. Stupid edit should read. I had a Expensive Daewoo once This new site upgrade really sucks at times
  4. happiness does not come from things ie: money doesn't buy happiness you can surround yourself with expensive cars and houses, go on overseas holidays, drink, take drugs, all these things do is temporarily distract you. There is a huge misnomer that "if I win lotto all my problems are over and I will be so happy that when people look up happy in the dictionary, my name will be there " Society tells us we need to strive for the big job that pays the big money to have all the things that make us happy. When people get there, they can't find true happiness, what are they to do? This is an over simplification, but you probably get the gist John D Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil, the richest man at the beginning of the 20th century and the world's first billionaire, was once asked "how much money is enough? " he replied "just a little bit more"
  5. Good thinking Rab. I have a friend who works on the rescue chopper in Cairns, there's accually a flight simulator in the building that they have to do a certain amount of hours per month on for CASA.
  6. It is probably due to Loris Baz's high speed crash. After that, michelin withdrew the soft compound rear tyres But also, Lorenzo is not 2015 world champion for no reason. I do agree though, 1 second gap is absolutely huge in the Moto GP world. It was an 8 hour session on day 3 and Stoner was running in 4th for about 3/4 of the day until about the last 10 minutes. And it seemed to be just like a race practice in the last 15 minutes, everyone trying to put in a fast lap. Hats off to Lorenzo ☺
  7. Staying at Peppers Awaroa, northern end of the south island NZ. Remote area boat access only. Had possibly the best lamb shanks ever last night. Maybe go kayaking today. Got a sore back cos cheep corolla hire car crap seats. Need drugs, 2 early for alcohol.
  8. Stoner finished day 3 at Sepang in 5th spot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fastest of the Ducati's and still on the GP15, totally awesome! !!!!!!!!!!! He was still 1.4 seconds off Lorenzo'so pace, but nobody could catch the Yamaha. I hope we see Stoner on a wild card ride real soon!!!!
  9. Sunroofs are over rated, I've had them before in other cars and the novelty wears off very quickly. My wife has one in her current car and you could count on one hand the times she has it open in a year.
  10. I didn't realize Ford had department called "customer service "
  11. Yes, he is still under test rider status, but he is on the GP15 Ducati. Dovisioso is on the GP16 Ducati and is languishing around 15th spot. The commentators did say that it was extremely likely Stoner will get a wild card ride, maybe 1st round at Qatar That would be awesome in so many ways ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺????????
  12. Casey Stoner, top 10 after second day test at Sepang, great to see him mixing it up with Lorenzo and Marquez. Maybe top 5 after day 3 (today) Loris Baz crashed at 290, and walked away unharmed!
  13. I recommend Bowdens as cleaning regimme. They are very good quality products designed here in Australia. I use the leather cleaning products, car shampoo, clay bar and the wax. I especially love the wax, smells like bananas ☺
  14. Nice ride BigKriss, have same color interior. Buy Bowdens leather love and leather cleaner, you won't regret it. the hardest thing to keep clean is the carpet. I bought cashmere floor mats off eBay, suggest you buy a good quality carpet cleaner and a spot cleaner also. It's not if you'll need it but when! We come to the forum, lots of info here, and the guys are great fun (and the girls)
  15. I was M.C. at my niece's wedding last night. Was very nervous at the beginning as I have never had the privilege before. After most of my duties were over, my speech all the other speeches and the cake cutting, quite a few people congratulated me on a job well done. yay, absolutely nailed it !! ☺ BTW. Great to see the website up and running I missed you guys.
  16. Headed to south island, leave on monday. just warming up at home
  17. 2 weeks holiday, off to New Zealand for my nieces wedding next weekend. Thought I would start the time off on the right foot.
