It gets hot in the summer in Cairns + stock speed of CPU is 3.2 GHz, running @ 4GHZ = more heat

I built this PC in October 2012. Still going strong, video card is permanent sli cos 2GPU's on same PCB Intel® Core™ i7-3930K Processor running @ 4GHz. 16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws running @ 2133 MHz. Asus ROG Rampage IV Formula mother board. 1 Nvidia GTX 690, default settings. 1 OCZ SSD, 240GB. have sandwiched the CPU radiator with 4 fans in push/pull config.

The GTX 1080 is cheaper and faster. [emoji12]

Stever, TV stands are so 20th century

This is so weird to me. I went owner builder to do a major house reno, I could never sign a contract that kept me off my own property In essence, they are stopping you from seeing how they build. I took photos of everything, making sure that all the work was to the correct standards and specifications (live in cyclone area) Make sure that you inspect for any damage to the bathroom after they change the taps Either the plumber or the tiler did this to my bathroom floor, totally missed it till after the job was finished,has pissed me off every day for the past 5 years. You'd think Id do something about it hey?

I was worried that 55 would be too big. I have 2800mm from TV to eyes. Did a quick search for optimum viewing distance with a 1920 x 1080 55" screen and optimum is between 2400 and 3000. So me and wifey are looking forward to it arriving

Had a total win this week. Started off really bad, my 2 and a half year old Samsung 50 inch plasma TV died last Sunday. (cost $760 in Oct 2013) Went to the good guys on Monday and had a look at what was on offer. No 50's in stock, new stock arriving in a month, all big name brands were north of $1000. Went to accredited Samsung repairer, he told me to ring Samsung, told me about Australian consumer law and big brand TV's should last 5 years. I rang Samsung and told them about my broken telly (Tues night) Samsung rang me yesterday. They are sending me a new 55 inch LED smart TV, RRP $1799 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of my PC monitors is on the fritz, so I have been on gumtree for about 2 weeks looking for a cheep solution. A business was closing down and moving down to the sunshine coast Got four, 22 inch dells for $50 these were the 2 nicest out of the 4 the other 2 are a bit dirty but Im sure they will be fine after a clean

I had it plugged into a large power board that is supposed to have a surge protector in it. Also had my sparkie fit something to the house mains board that was designed to minimise power surges If I get it fixed for free, then extended warrantys aren't worth the paper they are printed on, and I read an article by choice magazine that pretty much said just that !!!!
