  4. Oh come on Keefy you're probably a really nice guy underneath all that fur
  5. wouldn't want to be a small flying creature in my back yard. this web is 3 meters in diameter golden orb
  6. Put mine both ends of the couch Works ok, but thinking they need to be on stands so they are head height.
  7. This journey into custom loop water cooling has been alot of things, exciting, frustrating, tedious (waiting for things to arrive) and punctuated with anxiousness. Initially I calculated the cost to be around the $500 mark, but ended up spending $980!!!! Was it worth it? Last night after running a few stress tests and gaming a bit, I went to bed grinning like someone who had just won lotto. Would I recommend that someone who has never done this before attempt to do so? Most definitely, I would do it again in a heart beat! My main reason for going down this path? Graphics card running at 76 degrees when gaming, and fan noise at 100% driving me crazy. My system, 4 years old, is still kick ass, and although I could have bought a GTX 1080 for the price, I'd be left with a $1200 card sitting in the cupboard and still have the problem of high temps and fan noise. (I'm a grumpy old bastard) But also wanted to try custom hard piped water cooling because it can look awesome. Does my effort look awesome? I'm very happy with what I have managed to fit into a somewhat limited space, and the case mods don't detract from the overall look. The case was never intended to house a custom loop internally. I'm glad that I powder coated it white, and I'm pleased with the white/red/black colour scheme. It's awesome to me, and in reality that's what matters most, If others think it's awesome too, then that's a bonus. But the pièce de résistance is the virtual silence and load temps that are 20 degrees cooler than before!
  8. my card used to run at 76 when gaming and I think low 40's at idle
  9. yeah, I use afterburner as well, runs good in the games I play Sorry, not afterburner, I use EVGA Precision
  10. thanks Puffster, I'll have a look at those. virtually no noise Rab, can turn speed up on fans but extra noise only equates to 1 or 2 degrees less
  11. Here's less bubbles [emoji3] Also less temperature. Was playing Asetto Corsa, noticed temps were getting lower. Ran FurMark again for 30 minutes and stabilised at 57° and 49° That's almost a 20° drop from air cooled. Sitting watching temps at idle, 29° Ambient temp, 26° Pretty happy so far.
  12. Been running FurMark for just over 30 minutes. Seems to have stabilised at 55° and 65° for the GPU's. Had to shake the case quite violently to dislodge air bubbles. FIFY@Rab [emoji3]
  13. Yeah but no but mate. I didn't want to get banned again [emoji41]
  14. I was going to talk politics last night, but thought I'd better not. [emoji39]
  15. TGIF Fify [emoji39]
  16. Happy Friday [emoji3]
  17. But I love raspberry cordial It is bubbling because it is a tad over full. At a slightly lower level the coolant squirts from the top of the inner tube , to the outer tube. Its still a work in progress, I'll get there eventually
  18. Its all marketing hype, that's what makes them go crazy If it was as good as they say it is, all good restaurants would be changing over their kitchens. Gas isn't special, its simple, that's what makes it so good. you want heat, turn the switch and it's there immediately, same for when you want just a little heat, turn it down and it is immediate. precise? since when is cooking precise? I would hazard a guess that someone who is familiar with their gas cook top would be as "precise" with the heat control as with an induction cook top
  19. Got it back into the study, still doing some tinkering. Need more Red in the coolant. Think there must be an air bubble in the VGA block cos one gpu is running 15° hotter under load.
  20. If there is someone in the family that loves to cook then there is no competition, gas it is Just walk into any good restaurant kitchen Gas is also way cheaper than electricity down side to gas, cleaning, induction is obviously much much easier to clean
