  1. Just paid $4700 for full respray including removal of minor dents (trolley's etc) bumper & mirror scratches. Promise of better than showroom condition and for the most part seems OK. Although bit disappointed with bonnet finish. Colour Black, which most respayers are telling me is the hardest of all to get perfect. 2 week job followed by rebuff for 2 days 4 weeks later.

  4. Can you link a DVD to a non-Premium system (played through centre LCD screen)? Thanks David
  5. I'll also add in a good news story from Brad Garlick Ford. Two weeks after taking delivery of my T (2nd Hand) I wheel it out on a Sat morning to find that it won't fire. So I experience that sick feeling also of my prized possession being taken away on the tilt tray Sunday afternoon. Come Monday I'm onto the service department at the local dealer who promise calls back but never deliver. Finally the call to say that the vehicle is fixed and I can pick it up. When I ask what was wrong with it they tell me that they disconnected the piggy back ECU and it now starts. Further discussion with the Service Mgr and apparently when the piggy back ECU was disconnected the car started but was quite rough, given that the vehicle was heavily moded by Brad Garlick they contact them and two staff, one of which was the Service Mgr, drove 30k's to fix and retune the add ECU. No charge. This certainly exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be going back for my services. David
  6. Having taken delivery of an XR6T myself recently (last weekend.. sweeeeeet) I'm wondering if you have been driving another car with steering that is less direct??? Having a 2000 Challenger 4x4 (4Sale if anyone's interested PM) the steering response is like chalk and cheese. I'm going from a tyre with about 150mm of sidewall, soft suspension to a low profile tyre and sportier suspension and as expected the steering feels like a go cart compared to the Challenger. I know that mrs speed limiter (Wife) also noticed the sudden change of direction compare with the normal ride. Hope this helps....???? David
  7. Am in the process of purchasing an ex-company XR6T and was wondering on whether I'm getting value for money? Car is a 04/04 build, manual, premium brakes (I believe, they have FORD stamped on the calipers) and is used to commute from the mountains (Syd) to Parramatta most days. Currently has 45,000 on the clock and knowing the owner is lovingly cared for. It has been modified by Brad Garlick (chip & exhaust I believe) and owner has a dyno sheet which recorded 275 rwkw and 330 flywheel. Knowing sh*t about the technicals regarding cars I was wondering if the group could share their knowledge and let me know if you think that high $30K is a reasonable price? Also is there anything specific I should look for that might indicate a lemon.? Car has always been service by Brad Garlick and will continue to be for the next 4 years. Thanks for you help David (hopefully, a soon to be proud XR6T owner)
