Not sure what the price of the intakes are, I paid $600 for mine off ebay. Agreed, you need spacers for the injectors or run the FG injectors. Good time to change over from the BA/BF intercooler setup for the FG style setup. Put it this way, I have the FG turbo setup in my 2013 SZ TS petrol Territory, the FG FMIC and piping fits like it was intended to do so from factory.
-
Go ahead and do it. I did it to my 2007 Territory Turbo Ghia. Anyone telling you it's a $5k job is a tripper. You should find a 2nd hand unit for $300-$600. There's a little bit of work involved to fit the BA/BG TB on the FG manifold alternatively use the FG TB with a wiring adaptor. You'll need to use the FG fuel rail as well.

Because apparently the best tuner in the west only knows how to set 100% WG duty cycle and cant tune closed loop. Using exhaust restrictions and fuel system limits doesnt constitute boost control.

As a deposit, no worries. Wire transfer the balance later 😂😂

Oh no...... I bought RVO’s ‘performance’ BTR transmission off their eBay site December last year. Had it installed and it failed within 50kms. I had the trans removed and pan dropped - chunks of metal everywhere. The converter blew up. Of course, RVO said the issue is with the converter company who built the converter so I need to deal with them for warranty. Long story short, I escalated the matter with EBay and American Express (my eBay purchases are linked to my Amex) and I end up getting my money back. Amex - membership truly does have it’s benefits [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] Bottom line, stay away from their junk. They’ve a reputation for not honouring warranty. I end up purchasing a replacement transmission from Automac in Myaree. This built BTR cost $5,500 but includes brand new cryogenic V8 gearset, custom converter etc etc. Good for 500rwkw. I’ve removed it from my Territory, it’s done around 5,000kms as I’m getting rid of the SY. Will sell it for $2500 ono.

And I'll bet my right nut your 100% correct.
-
You’d be better off selling your TT than converting it to RWD. I guess you could do it, convert it to RWD. I’m looking at stripping my SY TS with it’s FG turbo setup and transferring the engine to a 2013-2014 SZ TS or Titanium Petrol. The SZ1 ran the 6HP26, the SZ2 ran the 6HP21 (Petrol model).

Not enough traction to worry about breaking the driveline yet.... Exhaust stud/nuts bought off EBay, do a search for Mamba Ford Exhaust Stud Kit.

I've had 2 TTG's, now have a 2007 Territory TS RWD with a BTR 4 speed auto. Have fitted a built FG engine with FG turbo inlet, exhaust manifold, GTX3582R turbo, PW FG FMIC, fuel pump upgrade (Walbro 460), 4" dump, 5" cat, Manta twin 2.5" system. Makes 402rwkw on 98 fuel. I prefer the handling of the RWD, it's sharper than the AWD. The biggest challenge is finding a BTR that will hold together, I've found a trans builder in Perth that builds these trans with custom valve body modification, billet 2/4 servo, cryoed planetary gear sets. So far, so good. Apart from the twin exhaust tips the vehicle is a real sleeper but goes very well.

Will PCMTec have the ability to link the ZF to the PCM and/or BCM? Lets say someone retrofits a ZF in another vehicle (say a 4 speed) can you get the different interfaces to communicate to each other?

Having read this thread I concur with the sentiments of JETURBO. There's a lot of cut and paste tuning done, torque tags switched off, injector settings completely wrong and so on and so forth. There's a reason why my setup manages over 450rwkw on the stock engine with the stock automatic transmission with over 15,000k's running on E85 without a single component failure. I don't pretend the factory gear to last forever; it was never intended to cope with double power and torque output, but I'm dubious about claims going back to the BA MkI when a reputable company said you need a $10-15k engine build for power levels above 300rwkw. I know of BA MkI's with 350-400rwkw with stock engines that were driven like they were stolen and never chucked rods........

I'm not sure, you'd have to ask him. I bought his dump pipe and cat to bolt up to the factory cat back system, which I am now looking at replacing. I'll probably change the actuator on the turbo from a 11.8psi one to a 15psi one so I can run 20-25psi boost. 500-550rwkw is the goal.
-
Yes, the cat back is stock. I've replaced the dump pipe and cat, will be getting the Venom cat back when George gets the parts. I'm in Ellenbrook area.

The 355mm rotors and the C6 calipers allow a decent brake upgrade whilst still retaining the factory wheels. I'm running DS2500 pads front and rear with braided lines as well - the braking performance is exceptional and more than adequate for spirited driving. I guess every performance shop has customers that went elsewhere and were unsatisfied with the work from the previous shop. One place I dealt with in the past wouldn't issue a tax invoice....WTF? Barry has always provided excellent support for the Sniper tuning software I use hence why I went to BPT. Terry tuned it initially but I've since installed a Innovate MT-X wideband and do my own tuning. E85 and 98 octane tuning is easy once you know what to do lol Look forward to catching up some time and chewing the fat.
-
No, it's not a typo, they are 355mm T3 front rotors with PBR 'C6' calipers. Race Brakes Sydney sell the kit. BPT Motorsport tuned it with Sniper, I've continued on from there with my own software. BPT Motorsport fitted the GTX3582R and diff hat. Diff hat fitment and Truetrac install was around $1400 plus parts (diff hat and truetrac). There is more noise noticeable with the diff hat, but I believe that it caused by the noise of the truetrac. To be honest, I can't hear it anymore, I'm used to it.

Been a member here for quiet some time, going back to when I bought my BA MKii XR6T winter white manual back in 2005... Anyways, 10 years on and I've got my self a 2014 FG Mkii G6E Turbo. Current mods are; PW Stage 2 FMIC and piping Bosch 1150cc injectors GTX3582R KPM Street Fighter intake Venom 4" dump and 5" cat Plazmaman surge tank and Pierburg external pump 355mm rotors with PBR 'C6' calipers, DS2500 pads 328mm Territory rear rotors, PBR calipers, DS2500 pads Braided brake lines Independent Motorsport diff hat upgrade Eaton Truetrac Tune for E85, makes 474rwkw @ 20psi

Fair point Joe, and maybe the Yanks are lazy and only replacing the items that break. As I said, the intermediate shaft is available in 300M to replace the factory 6R80 unit. No one's bothered with the input shaft over there yet. There's making over 1000hp in the Mustangs, running 9's, with nothing more than an Exedy friction upgrade and intermediate shaft. If you're to believe what other say, there's no need to do anything else other than hand over firsts full of cash for the billet ZF gear and just be done with it.
-
Yep. Territory diesel RWD and AWD uses the 6R80, as does the Ranger. The petrol Territory still has the ZF box.
-
A powertrain engineer Billet 6R80 input shafts? Why? The yanks aren't breaking them, probably because they're not screwing with the TCM programming like so many TCM/automatic rebuild 'engineers' are here in Oz lol. Cryo'd, billet inputs shafts all break, they all have the same common denominator as well, ZF tuning. The 6R80 front end can be adapted to the ZF, including the pump, which is better than the ZF unit. The torque converter obviously requires modification, there is only one company in Australia that has the machinery and expertise to do it - properly. The 6R80 300M intermediate shaft can also be incorporated into the ZF with a few changes. The beauty of the 6R80 hybrid is it opens up a whole lot of GM torque converter options.
-
Pulling my trans out at the end of the month and getting a 6R80 hybrid built. I've always wondered how many of these ZF rebuilders have had contact with Hans-Peter Bach of ZF when modifying the 6HP26. It's an old transmission now and ZF would not be doing any further development on them. Surely there'd be a lot of info available.
-
The Ngauge is supported with Sniper for the Oz Falcon's, Mustangs. I believe Barry mentioned it should also be compatible with the Ranger and Territory. It will also be compatible with ZF tuning when that comes online.
-
I can get it sorted out by contacting SCT in the US, they've already said they can fix it by remote accessing my laptop. I cbf staying up late and making the call. Either way, I've seen my catchcode in SCT, it's missing stuff Sniper has.
-
No, it's been disabled for a while. I've been meaning to contact SCT in the US to sort it out but can't be bothered as I don't need it.
