So is what you are saying street tuner is edit is safer then piggybacks, Why I am asking this is I drive my car hard all the time all day every day so if I leave my piggyback on my engine is it going to be stuffed. So is my engine life going to be better with a edit or a piggyback???

Ok it is my turn to my 2bob with in. I have a Typhoon with APS stage 2 kit 300.5 rwkw that was fitted at 3000km I drive my car hard all day every day it had its first drag outing 2 weeks ago and it ran 13.5 at 109mph with wheel spin in 1 and 2nd I will be going again when I get my clutch fix. The only problem I had was the gearbox crunching in 2nd and 3rd so I told them That I changed the gearbox oil and the oil I used transmax z well did I have dramas with the ford and fpv told my dealer that this is is not the right oil so I was on a mission to prove them wrong so with the help of Ben at Mal woods we proved them wrong by the way thanks heaps Ben. in the end it is the clutch making the gears crunch. so I have made my mind up thanks I will be going to 330rwkw but I want to make sure that the rods in the phoon are stronger than standard t ones. Other than that I have not had any other problems with diff and cv joints. Does anyone know how much better the rods are in the typhoon. Crazy

I ask the question about the game and I was told it comes with a ps2 this info come from a person with in fpv.

If I understand correctly they are going to give all typhoon owners a play station 2 with a copy of GT4 for all the trouble. They should be sent out 2 weeks after the clutch fix. I think that since all the cars where sold in 2004 we should get new build plates starting from the date of the fix at least it will help with the resell value. And we should get a rebate for insurance and reg from date of sale to date of fix and an extra 1 year warranty. This is what I will be sending a bill to fpv for as why the hell should I pay for there stuff up. Cheers Crazy

Finer6 there is abig ford day in april at heathcote I will be doing my first run there it is on *notallowed*.com.au Hi all. Here is take 2 guys. I am now ready to start the ball rolling on our first driving event. This will be a drag day at Heathcote Raceway just near Bendigo in Victoria. I have locked in the date of 9th April 2005. Cost will be $40 per car and $10 for spectators. For those who have come to previous heathcote days with other forums its a chance to beter your previous times, and for the newbies its a good fun way to legaly speed and test both your car and your own driving skills. We will be inviting people from the LS1 website to participate as well, so there will be plenty of room for some healthy competition. We also welcome anyone from interstate who is able to make the trip, as many have done on previous events. We will be issuing trophies for Fastest Expensive Daewoo 4, 6, and 8, and Ford 4, 6, and 8, and one for the exhibition class (anything that runs a 12 second pass or less). hope to see you there Cheers Hilly

yes mr fpv here you go it seems? mate as I said not trying to defend them as I have my aliance with an aussie clutch product for this aplication but heyit could happen to anyone and imho its always thecircumstances you dont think of that bite you in the bum!!!! who'd think that someone who spend 60,000 g's on their car would try to fry their clutch? (to fry means to slip not to abuse with launches etc!) infact looking at it in an r&d point of view it did pretty good to get enough heat into it to cause enough heat soak so that the spring clips fail and yet show no signs of driving issues till after the heat soak damaged the clip's! no damage while out there being punished just when the engine slwed down enough to allow the heat to transfer to the clips! seriously how many actual owners out there and how many with a clutch problem? again just an outsiders view! crazy your a maniac with your wheels hows your clutch holding up with 300+ at the treads mate? ps still waiting to hear about kitty's? My clutch is just fine I went on a cruize on sunday did a few skids it is great kittys Hmm maybe tonight what time does it close.

He said they removed the cat but didn't say much else. He said they also gave him a dyno sheet to prove the power. He also mentioned that he drove a standard phoon and then his car and notice the power difference. I was waiting in a lane to run when he did the clutch. I find this a little hard to believe that you were thinking that when you ordered your F6. How did you come to the conclusion that it was going to be slower than your TS? The F6 is supposed to have 20 more kw, and 50 more Nm of torque. They weigh roughly the same. If anything, the F6 would be lighter. So how did you 'damn well know' it was going to be slower? The T3 is no slug, I know. But everyone was expecting mid 13 second times from the F6... EVERYONE. And we all know a T3 won't manage a mid 13 stock. Sorry, but just sounds like a futile effort to defend your buying decision? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My ts 50 ran a 14.1 at the 1/4 mile and all the things I read about the typhoon 1/4 mile was going to be about 14.5 my ts 50 has 210rwkw my typhoon had 200.6 end of stories Hilly

Already had my say but will be replacing my turbo in 12-18 months and Typhoon/GT are obvious replacements.Stepping up to a Typhoon seems more like a step sideways to me so the GT looks the better proposition.What bothers me is that a 2001 HSV GTS is quicker than both and the Holdens keep getting faster.(No I don't want a Holden)lI don't think its an unreal buyer expectation for FPV to match HSV's straightline performance.It seems like a cop-out from Ford when the owner has to modify his car just to equal the opposition.Saves on warranty claims I suppose. But anyway.... boy am I sick of the ragging from the Expensive Daewoo brigade,be nice to be top dog for a change;like we used to be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That day will come later on this year with a new car from fpv but I have been told you wont get any change out of $100,000.
