I've got the rex dvd player fitted in my car and when I play the sound through the AUX it has a really bad whine to it. Tends to go with the speed of the car.

All I can say is that's shocking!!!!!

I used to own a SS ( I know, you don't have to tell me, but , I now own a Turbo ) and I was told that I still had a 60km range when it said 0. This was so that you didn't run out of petrol and have to ring up the road side assist blokes. Don't know if this is true as I have never tried it.

This is exactly what happened to me. I ordered the rex dvd player and I got the Satellite Navigation system instead. After waiting 3 months they said that I would have to wait another 3 months while they order another one because they can't take the sat nav out. I could also pay another $3795 on top of what I have already paid and then I could have that car straight away and they would fit the dvd player into it when it came in. After refusing to leave the dealership without that car they eventually gave it to me and the dvd player was installed at no cost. Don't listen to them just keep fighting and you will get your way.

Yeah, I got the same problem. I got the dvd player fitted and when you play it through the stereo it makes a shocking whine. I've been meaning to take it into the dealer but haven't got around to it yet.

I agree!!! I'm in Wello Point and I believe we need a legal drag strip out this way. Just to show people how good these things really are!!!!

I'm not really up on the technical issued with this but was wondering if the amp has the capabilities of adding another component to it. In other words can I add a 10" sub that I have sitting in the shed to it without disturbing the rest of the system?

I own a blueprint car and I want Blood orange colour. This idiot friend of mine bought a 4wd that he is doing up, he loves the colour so much that he is going to buy it and spray paint the car in that colour. I am totally against him painting it that colour, but I owe him one so I can't say no.

Hello everybody!!!! I was wondering if anybody could help me out here!!! I am trying to find the code for the blood orange colour. Does anyone know where I can buy it from. I am in brisbane and only require a couple of litres. But I was just wondering if anybody knows if you can get it or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a good friend who is the boss of ford training in melbourne. I'm up here in Brisbane and he said that this was the best place. I didn't buy the car from here but my 3000km service is due and I'm certainly going to take it here.

The funny thing is they pull me over knowing who I am and they have already pulled me over before. Yet, they continually pull me over for the above reasons. I'm going to have a chat to the officer in charge tomorrow morning at my local station, to see what is going on.

I thought I would add my 2 cents worth on this matter. I picked my car up on the 7th May. To this date I have been pulled over 32 times. I had the same trouble in my old vx 2 ss. I ended up getting pulled over 78 times. Not once have I been booked. I have kept a log book in my glove box who has pulled me over. And have asked for explanations on every occassion. All I ever get is that it is for a breath test, licence check and the best one a 19 year old driver driving a new xr6turbo. It just can't be true. The worst thing is that I am in a wheelchair so I have my wheelchair on a hoist on the roof. They still pull me over thinking that I've stolen the car. I just laugh at that excuse because can you imagine someone stealing a car and then putting the roof racks on the top and then hoisting the wheelchair onto the roof. I think by the time I did this the cops would have me. It is becoming a bit of a joke. I actually work for the Queensland Police Service so I'm working on it now. And no, I don't drive like an idiot, I respect my cars.

The day I picked my car up, the cops were at the dealer investigating how a xr6turbo was stolen while being serviced. Apparently they read the rego number and walked into the key box and took the keys and drove off. I'm just wondering if I should take the car there for my services.

I was just wondering did everybody already have alight on the drivers side. I put a bulb into the passengers side but when I went over to the drivers side I noticed it already had one and it works.

I was just wondering, I have my car and they forgot to put the DVD player in it. It is going to be installed next week some time. But, I was wondering if anyone knew whether you could still connect a playstation to it. I remember you could on the AU series but I am not sure whether you can do it anymore. If you can does anyone know how much the kit is for it? Thanks

Well, I have my car. I'm glad I can even say that. I picked it up yesterday but not after some dramas I'll tell you that. I was supposed to pick it up at 11am. At 10.45am (when I'm half way there) they ring up and tell me that they have stuffed up the rego and it would take another 45 minutes. I thought well I'm not just going to pull over and sit there for 45 minutes I'll go and have a look at my car. Just before the dealer hung up he asked one last question. Michael did you order sat nav. I said "no". He said did you order "DVD rex system" I said "yes". He said well your car is fitted with the sat nav and there is no dvd player in your car. He said he will just go and get a technician to fit it now. I rocked up at 11am. Went in and there was my nice new car sitting there. The salesman came over shook my hand and sat me down. He said I had 3 options. 1. Take the car as it is. (with something I didn't order) 2. Pay $3600 for the sat nav. (which would let me drive away that day) 3. Wait another month until another car is made which match my specifications. I was not really impressed by any of these ideas and fought and fought and fought and fought and fought to get them to just throw it in. However, after making a few phone calls to some relatives in Ford they advised me that the dealer was probably not going to throw it in. I went back and realised that I wanted my car today. I thought I'll bargain them for the sat nav. as I can't afford $3600. I ended up having to pay another $1500 on top of what I already paid. However, there were some guidelines such as there would be no charge to fit the DVD player when it arrives in a months time. After 4 1/2 hours of sitting and fighting I finally drove out in one of the nicest cars I have ever owned. (Not saying much for a 19 year old). It is beautiful, and I got told the way home by a computer on the dash. I think it was worth the extra $1500 I paid. Well, that's my story all over. 3 months of waiting. Finally over. All I can say is that "MAN IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!"

Hi Cam, I hope your car is going well. I unfortunately did not get mine. They rang me up this morning and said they require one more day to work on it. So, I can pick it up at 11am tomorrow morning. I knew something was wrong last night when I was typing my first message. I'll have to keep an eye out for you on the roads in your Blood Orange, That was my second choice of colour. I'm sure we will cross paths somewhere down the line. Well bring on 11am tomorrow.

Well, after 3 months waiting and not sleeping at all. The big day arrives tomorrow. I've got a feeling that I am not going to sleep much again tonight. For some reason I can just feel that something is going to be wrong with the car tomorrow. Lets hope that htis is just me being paranoid. Everything is going to be OK!!!!
