  1. already? was only listed as going into production late last week and we've had a public holiday? for some reason I thought they were slacker than that hehe cheers
  2. Can I get an update senna SIDO 353934
  3. Yeah that is an unfortunate part of using fleet sometimes, of course depends on the dealer too. But I've had mixed results with fleet people over the years. But the difficult ones always respond favourably when you mention the big company you're from and any further business haha. The service department on the other hand are the best. Probably because I don't care what they charge and keep them busy
  4. lol well in that case, sign me up for a daily update :ifiusethisimafag:
  5. You need a work experience kid to sit on a PC and do daily SIDO updates
  6. There is one of these in the showroom at New Oak Ford on Ferntree Gully Rd in Melbourne. Its in Ego. Didn't look too bad but personally I think its too much coin for a falcon.
  7. Much appreciated, but I guess there isn't much chance of the guys working through the long weekend Probably wouldn't have been much good as I can only nominate a dealer for delivery, fleet does the rest. Since we have to order 4 months in advance, I've always assumed that the order was placed with HO direct and we were given a slot in the production line instead of dealer stock?
  8. Can I get a SIDO looked up? Finally got given a number, but was told that its looking like first week of July. Hopefully I've been told wrong! (SIDO 353934)
  9. I got my first BA at launch (ordered 4mths before) and that was a transition from a completely different model range much like they are now. So if they can do it then, they can do it now. I realise this and the anger is directed at Ford HO, not the dealers. The dealers are just a customer of HO and would most likely get the same contempt. HO need to grow a set, front an honest answer and guess what? people will bloody understand, no one likes being bullsh*tted to when they're prepared to spend serious cash. Now I just need a way of finding my SIDO since the fleet co won't hand it over until the car arrives at the dealer, what good is that farken
  10. Comparison to the XR5 isn't valid as there are typically delays with an imported vehicle (been there). My issue is that I was told a date and it changed without a valid reason. If they just fronted an honest reason for the delay then fine. Not interested in the rumours either, heard so many now that they're all filled in the "heard it on the interweb so it must be true" folder.
  11. Had a manual on order since late Feb when the final specs were released, was told back then that it was gonna be a June delivery. Now early July. Don't know anymore than that as our fleet company doesn't supply the SIDO or whatever number until the car arrives at the dealer which is fairly useless.
  12. Have tried wreckers etc, none of them have been much use. cdm, thanks for the offer. Will keep it in mind. cro142, any idea what it would cost to ship down to melb?
  13. Looking for a spare genuine 18" wheel, but have priced them new at around $600ea, what a bloody joke! Copy ones are about $250 but do not have that little groove/notch in the spokes. I would have thought it would be easy to find some from accident damaged cars etc, usually one wheel always dies and 3 doesn't make a set! But I was wrong. Don't mind if its marked, just has to be roadworthy and not buckled etc. Anyone got any ideas?
  14. I had to change the front premium rotors at about 10,500. Pads were almost metal on metal around 4000km's later. I reckon I could easily drive it harder
  15. My T just started doing the same thing, now I understand what people were talking about, in crawling traffic with the windows down even an inch, and the noise will drive you mad! I made it to 10,000kms without any noise and then had the rotors replaced. Pretty much had the squeal ever since. Wondering if pulling the pads out and giving them a light sand or something might help? Last time I took the car in to complain about the noise I was told to try cleaning my car a bit more often as the noise was caused by them being dirty. In the 10,000km's of no noise, I used to shove the karcher right in the caliper and the amount of black crap that came out was amazing, yet they still made no noise. These dealers have really been taught well on how to piss in peoples pockets!
  16. Got the car back yesterday and the report they gave me just says "retorque and lube suspension". But I recall him saying that it was related to the BHP steel beam under the engine being loose and casuing the knocking sound. Not much good eh? But I didn't hear the noise at all today and prior to them touching the car the same driving would have had the noise show up many times! About time they did something right! Not sure where you go, maybe the same dealer car sort yours out? PM me if you want the name.
  17. Sounds like the same crap my sh*tbox is doing! I've also noticed it driving into roundabouts slow and fast, u-turns. Told the dealer about it a couple times and each time they told me I was hearing things. If complete car noobs alter me to the noise while in and outside of the car, I aint hearing things! Rang dealer yesterday to sort out some other issues and got a new guy on the phone so thought I'd complain about the steering again. Guy straight away said, yeh there are some washers/shims or something like that, so we'll see how that goes. If they fix it, I'll report back
  18. Um the discussion here has nothing to do with that! I thrash the living crap out of all my cars, the recent dyno day proved my car made good power as a result. The problem IMHO is that they don't take too well to this kind of driving all the time! I'd say the ones that pu$$y foot around, would be the cars with LESS problems. IMO that would be a very common reason of ownership. But bad service, warranty issues and poor build quality are just not good enough when you're spending that sort of money!
  19. At this stage I would say I'll never have another Ford in my garage let alone a T! Rather take my chances with a Holden, at least there is a chance of getting different problems! I've had a BA XR6 and now a BAII XR6-T and both have had many problems, most of which the dealers pass of as if you're deaf, dumb and blind! I would agree that Ford is not the only manufacturer with dealers that give their customers the run around. The real problem here is Ford have a lot of work to do in the quality stakes. You can't expect dealers to fix problem after problem on every 2nd car that comes in because they can't build a decent motor car to start with! I would place Expensive Daewoo in the same boat here. However, I still find the T to be a entertaining drive, even with all the unscheduled dealer visits

How about the time they took to get the pace car out and a recovery vehicle for the stranded WPS car at the end of the straight? Bloody dangerous place to be stuck if you ask me!!! And yeh, I dunno just how many more Shannons and Titan ad's I can take! Feels like they come on every 3rd lap!

    Dyno Day

I've used the same "thrash-in" on all my new cars. It's just worked out a bit cheaper now that its a company car and I don't have to pay for the increased wear rate of the "consumables" That would be mine, has done 11,120km's. The Car got its first belting probably no more than 5m from the Dealership's driveway. though I don't think the car will last anywhere near as long as others Seemed like a good turn out on the day, was hard to tell if I was looking at 3 cars of the same car 3 times Was also a bit confused with the organisation at some times. Was told to line up whenever as there was no order, was an order and then was an order but it doesn't matter? Think some people felt some of us were queue jumping, so hopefully no one got upset And finally.... will most definately get flammed here but I think BCL's car saw too much time through out the day IMO. I think at one stage it sat on the dyno for about an hour! It was interesting to see and full credit to him and Nizpro.

Just filled in the form as well! We'll see if your 6 is finer than mine, the runs we had surely didn't indicate it was
  23. Hehe your mistaking the GTR for a 200SX or similar. Even getting circus midgets in the back of them is a tough ask Then again, I'm not huge so guess it depends on your frame of reference hehe. Big fatties only slow you down
  24. The no comment was relating to Stangs comment, I said something but decided to withdraw it. And I've sat in many thanks. The ride quality can be compromised as easily as it can be corrected depending on setup and associated hardware. I bet you could screw up the ride comfort of an XR6-T very easily. In any case, the original post was pretty much answered in the 4th post
