    Damn you ladies with xr6Ts are touchy! Yes a Standard My03/04 WRX is quicker over the 1/4 and around corners! But whats your point? Add a couple of passangers and the rex is not going so well! And a modded Rex is always going to get any RWD car off the mark, big deal!

  3. There will be a series 2, and that's when FPV will release there Xr6T. THere could be 50-100kgs of weight loss, that's about all the car could drop. The new gearbox ( 6 speed auto ) is a BIG possibility as it was designed for Ford Global use! So that's where weight savings can and will be made. Ford are Still behind in sales to the dunnydore so they still need to upgrade and develope the Ba series. Im still waiting to buy as Im still reading about problems the 6T is still having. Then I'll weigh up whether a FPV 6T of an Sti or Evo 8 will be in my Garage!

    Series II XR6T

    The FPV xr6t is coming out, and will debut at the Melbourne Motor Show. It will wear a Bigger front bar ( Similar to the GT ) and will be around the 280kw mark, with a new stronger box. And priced under the current GT. Be nice to FPV people and tell them the other cars you are interested in buying and they become extremely helpfull.
  5. Well If you want to see the FPV Xr6T go to the Melbourne Motorshow in March as it will be there. And I'm sure at a Tad over 50k + orc it will be a bargin! 6Speed Box Bigger Cooler GT bodykit ( Bigger opening for the cooler) Nicer interior ect ect. I know I'll be there to see it, and to place a deposit on one.

  7. xrcism, why are you sooooo against it.? sh*t Im even trying to get the FPV GT front end, as it has a bigger opening for the cooler. If you are leaving your car stock, well I understand, but if your modifying the car its a different story. Anyway good luck.
  8. So many against a great Bonnet. I will be ordering my 6T with a xr8 bonnet, but I might also get air outlets stamped in it first. Food for thought people.
  9. Firstly, how many modded xr6ts are there????? F*3k all. How many modded 200sxs are there? PLENTY. Just wait till there are a few modded 6Ts or other wise you're going to get eaten. An S15 with a few mods will fun a flat 13.

    more heat... Well there would need to be a huge amount of heat through the gearbox, Tailshaft and diff, to take out any more power. There have been numerous arguements on other forums about the power percentage loss. Search Pf and FFF for these topics.

    Power loss is static, once you have lost it there is no extra loss when mods are done, eg. S15 is 147kw Fly and 115Rwkw so the loss is 32kw. So when My s15 had 170rwkw Flywheel equals 202kw. And if it made 200Rwkw it would be 232kw.

    You will find that the Gt and the Gt-P will be using the same Booster and master cylinder as the xr6T. You will NOT need to change these. If you want the Brembo pack, just go to your nearest Ford Spared Parts and ask them to order you the Brembo pack. Then go and put them on. Simple isn't it! I know because I have already enquired about this when I order my 6T.

  15. I want the bonnet as I intend to modify it with some extra vents, and I like the Buldge. Plus added air flow. I'm still waiting on the price for the FPV front bar, for the bigger opening for the intercooler. I hope to get it down to $51k Then I'll be satisfied. But Im tossing up waiting and getting the FPV version of the 6t. But thanks for the reply. Also just think if FPV give the motor better Rods and pistons. The Boost will be no problem.

  17. PLEASE DON"T use a bleed valve with out getting the ECU remapped, or a new ECu all together. Why you asked, if you boost or standard XR6t with the ECU it will go into limp mode. Then you'll have to take it back to the dealer. If you were serious about boosting the power of your Turbo, look at the Tsi thread and all the other threads that are STICKY.
  18. I got quoted for a Xr6T Manual with the following Premium Sound Leather 18s Blue Print ( or the Orange ) And Xr8 bonnet $52,817 on Road. So is this a fair price?
  19. I didn't mean airflow to the radiator, I meant around the engine itself. That is why the garret core is the size it is.
  20. You don't see how?????? Maybe the big f#cking buldge in the bonnet, all the extra space helps. When the series 2 xr6 turbo comes out, that's when I'll be buying one. Just watching all the mistakes happen first. And there are some happening all the time.

  22. As a said before, think about the air flow around the engine before you cover the whole opening with a new FMIC. As I said they need air flow, with out it the engine will over heat! And that's not a good sign. I'm all for a new Bar and Plate cooler, just don't go stupid and cover the whole opening. And maybe a XR8 bonnet could help with the air flow.
  23. Why would the Auto have a larger exhaust? Please use your heads, they ( Auto and manual ) both have they exact same setup. :lol: You should be looking at a 3'5 exhaust, nothing under that. remember it is a 4ltr 6 turbo.
  24. After speaking to a few people in the KNOW. I can tell you to be VERY carefull when putting on a custom FMIC. There is a reason Ford picked the size they did. AIR FLOW. If you put a big mutha cooler on you'll interupt the air flow around the engine, causing over heating. This is where the XR8 bonnet buldge will come in handy. And YES a bigger cooler can be fitted but it needs to be the right size. And BAR and PLATE would be best. First step should be a 3'5 mandrel bent exhaust the the Cooler then the Unichip ect. You should see gains across the board. It is that simple. Just look at the 200sxs. they are very restrictive from factory. then with those mods you get BIG increases.
  25. I still think the XR6T should be running a 3.5" system. If 2ltr Turbos are running 3" then its only right. What size is the standard system?
