How good are idmax man. I have one now. Greatest sub I've heard. Sadly I'm not doing it justice in a smallish fibreglass box in the wheel well cos I need boot space. Used to have it in a massive custom ported box in an old car off 1250wrms and it went soooooo low and loud. I did a few frequency sweep tests with it and I could feel it all the way down to 25hz or so 2 would have been f*cking ridiculous if they were ported? You bass head.

Selleys pro series sealant? They use it between concrete slabs in construction jobs I've been on..it's urethane so it dries like a hard rubber that's flexible but goes back into shape as well.

I think a 20 or 30kw increase in power is definitely noticeable from my experience in other cars. Admittedly I haven't tuned my xr6 though

If it's wired out of phase from factory then leave em reversed. Got an iphone? You can download an app called JL audio and is has a built in speaker phase tester. You play a test pulse through the speakers which you can download from the link in the app and it will tell you if your speakers are wired out of phase.

I would not get a cai they make f*ck all difference. If you can stretch it to $1500 you can get a custom tune and that will make a big difference

Bigger subs aren't just louder they also go lower. You can always turn the gain down to match the lacking front stage and still have better low range extension

Very nice car. I watched him slide the whole way down the 1000 meters earlier this year. Plenty of power!! Unfortunately got chooooppped by a skyline but that things pretty crazy and awd

Why does everybody on here run surge tanks? Other people I know only run em if they are doing hard track work and when cornering their car starts to run lean Something different about fords?
