Pretty boring how I did it actually.. either my Dad did it while he had borrowed the car or I ran over something and didn't realise when I was driving to my mates place at 430am after around 4 hours sleep for collie track day... I was very tired so its possible either way haha. First time I noticed it was loading it onto a trailer at my friends place..
Too bad I didn't do it on the track so I'd have a cool story to tell..
@ralph wiggum if you have time it would be massively appreciated. Let me know how much u want for it and I'd have to pick it up on Friday 1st of sept. If that's no good I can see if my wife will pick it up One more thing... for race wars did you need to get your extinguishers professionally tested and tagged or was a brand new one with a tag sufficient?
Yeah sweet thanks for that that's kinda what I was planning, similar to furiousgibbons too. I might just have to cut/ bend it up out of a sheet of metal though as I have no welder/no idea how to weld haha.
I'd happily pay for one if you have the time! I'm not home until a day before the event so I really would like to purchase something rather than knock it up myself at the last second
Hey guys
Anyone with an FG mounted a fire extinguisher (accessible to driver) for track days etc and would you happen to have a few pics of what you've done? Was thinking off the front passenger seat bolts but theres those plastic trim pieces over them from memory and I'd rather leave them on but not keen to drill any new holes in the car.
Cheers
I use them. Great for the price they are dirt cheap. Plenty of grip in the dry. Will wear fast and are very noisy probably because of the tread pattern
^ I was referring more to the usual suspects on here. Didn't realise any of the real high power guys were going I'm sure you'll hit close to (or more than!) 270 if you're going 240 on the quarter !
What power you going there with? I've never even revved my car out in 5th let alone 6th but I imagine it would be pretty slow going... even 4th is slow. Measly 315rwkw though
As chlaxn said 3 years ago... electrical gauges fit fine. I didn't say every 52mm product available from autometer will fit guaranteed or your money back
I went in a modified r35 gtr at racewars at wylie on one of the 800m runs... guy said it was around 700hp and he only got to 265kmh or so on the 1000m... I doubt anyone here will even hit 260
Does it show spl? The loudest ones probably the one that's reverberating in your cabin and annoying you. Is it like a bassy "booming" constant kind of sound when you're going up hills or at a certain rpm?
He's also the cheapest going in Perth I've found, I've called heaps of transmission shops etc, no where comes close. Most are 5-6K for a rebuild to stock spec
Oh I tried to get one after a week or so and they were long gone. Just hoping someone on here would have got cold feet and want out by now [emoji14] Considering coming as a spectator but probably not worth wasting holidays for
