  1. He's got the NBN now - relatively fast (relative = faster than light, stuff finishes downloading before you start)
  2. Am having them for Freeze, so he doesn't have to Am doing the good work here - rest easy Freeze
  3. WPMO? God - my brain has gone to mush. Am sure I should know what that is
  4. Faaark - it keeps getting worse (or deeper) Add to the forgetting the step-son's engagement yesterday I can now add a mates daughters 21st on Saturday I clean forgot and my step-daughters upcoming birthday this week (only realised tonight while grovelling to the other 2 and handing them their engagement pressie when he asked what was planned for the birthday) . Position open for a P.A. - I need someone to tell me what I need to remember
  5. Washed the car for the first time since putting on the new pads/rotors a couple of weeks ago. Now I know what people mean when they say the pads are dusty lol - hopefully it gets better once bedded in properly.
  6. He's a car salesman (is who I got my XR6T off) - no luck there :(
  7. Fark - missed my step-sons engagement yesterday :S Was meant to take the other kids to the lunch/party. Got the dates totally mixed up and was sure it was next week. No point for guessing who feels like a total. low life scumbag today. Have spoken to him this morning and he's not worried - am headed round there tonight with his siblings to grovel at the feet of his fiance and apologise. Am now going to have to find a extra special engagement pressie (compared to what I was going to get them) as reparations.
  8. Taking the kids down the Island for a long weekend
  9. I got my balls back once the misses was gone - does that count?
  10. I think there's a tapatalk plugin that runs on the forums - perhaps that need to be updated? http://tapatalk.com/activate_tapatalk.php
  11. From the other thread I posted was this: If the drop outs are accompanied by a loss of power or red optical light then you have an issue with NBN's side of things, otherwise it will most likely be an issue unrelated to the NBN. Is that what's happening at your end? If not then it could be something on your system that's not working well with the NBN, but did with the ADSL. Could be something as stupid as a useage checker or previous ISP's app that's expecting the old ADSL connection/IP address, or something that tries to connect to the old server at 8:30 and other random times - dropping out the NBN when it tries. I used to have a SETI program running in the background that caused me similar issues and took ages to narrow down - didn't make any sense as to why, but deleting the program fixed the issue. Another time it was my old anti-virus software - an update totally screwed up everything where it would lockup the system when checking for newer updates.
  12. If the soundcard dies at the same time as the dropouts can you disable (if onboard) or remove (if a card) and see if the issue is still happening? (re)install the latest drivers for your network card, soundcard and also motherboard chipset? check device manager for any conflicts? turn off the PC leading up to the 8:30 drop out and keep browsing from a phone or tablet - see if the net drops with the computer out of the equation?
  13. Thunderstorms expected with the change tonight - are we starting a book on where pooch ends up?
  14. No need for insurance and gun shot to the head won't work either You cannot die, MacFreeze, accept it.
  15. Got Pilot Sports on my bike and trust them with my life - they any good for the XR?
  16. I reckon that beer doesn't sweat out like I thought it would I reckon the heat filters it - sweat out the impurities (like water etc) and makes the alcomahol more potent
  17. Gives her an excuse to leave him at Lacrosse practice and chase after the Ruskies If Jr is a gurl can she be Lana?
  18. My guilty pleasure is Moonshiners - the same way some watch WWF No Idea why - is an absolute crap show, but I have to keep watching.
  19. Try Lost Girl again - new season is showing promise Never heard of Ray Donovan - should I have? Boyd is weak now - as you say. Was better pre-op. Can't believe Win Duffey is his biotch
  20. Can you log into the box for logs? See if the connection drops at 8:30 if the PC isn't turned on? Or a lappy you can connect to it with? Haven't got a modem port on the box have you (telephone/56k sort of thing) Or something else set up as DHCP server and it renews lease at 8:30 every day? and causes the NBN box to conflict? (set all machines to get an IP instead of fixed) A home alarm that phones home every day at 8:30 for a system check? A neighbour that leaves for work at the same time and opens his garage door with a remote that is on the same frequency as your microwave?
  21. +1 - if I wanted to watch a crap gay rapper I'd get foxtell and watch MTV Spun me out when I realised that Archer was Bob (Bob's Burgers) - didn't even click in the crossover episode :S Am enjoying Almost Human for the time being - probably has 3/4 of a season in it before it runs out of steam. The new season of The Lost Girl has picked up from where it started to fail after the second season - am actually looking forward for new episodes. Is another show where the show has got stronger once the focus veered away from the main protagonist to the supporting cast - they were always the stars - just took the writers a while to realise. Never saw Bitten - don't think I'll bother Helix - yep - a long drawn out version of The Blob (the crappy remake, not the 1950's classic) meets Alien Enlisted - saw the first episode - is going to be a PG canned laughter version of Major Pain as far as I can tell. Can already tell where it's headed. Justified and Person of Interest are still keeping me watching - not a bad feat
  22. For some reason it makes me want to lick a nun
  23. Still having dropouts if connected straight to the NBN box? (with nothing else turned on/connected) I spent a good 18months arguing with Optus about my crappy connection - til I went really, really quiet when I realised that I had a cat 5 plugged into a loop from the router to the modem where it wasn't needed. Pulled that out plug and it must have been some sort of coincidence, but Optus seemed to have fixed their issues at the same time
