  1. WPMO - All of a sudden everyone seems to think it's fine to send me requests to sponsor them for their charity fun-runs, shaves, book drives, tea days, group hugs etc. I'm not talking about friends - but business contacts, clients and suppliers. I'm sure your cause is a valid and just one, but come on... spamming it to your entire contact list is a bit friggin rude. You want me to be charitable on your behalf and help you get your totals up and make you feel good - the least you can do is call me and ask. If you don't think it'd be appropriate to call me and ask then why the hell would you send it in an email to everybody you've ever dealt with? Hell - my son has a readathon every year and I feel bad asking his grandparents to chip in. Maybe I've been doing it wrong. Next time I should put the hard word on a bunch of random business contacts to put up the cash. Yeah - your chosen charity is probably a great and wonderful cause, but most people have their own - keep the requests to donate to personal contacts you feel comfortable to ask, not people you wouldn't usually ask how their day is going on the rare occasions you call them.
  2. Ah sorry Raband - 2012 FG XR6T - "performance brakes"   not sure if if it makes a difference or not - I think they're on each turbo from a certain date, but could need different lines to the standard PBR ones on non-turbos?
  3. Sounds like a normal days work doesn't it? Don't need to be out of work to fit that in do you?
  4. Hehe - I lost about 10kg from a bout of glandular fever - would highly recommend it to anyone after some weightloss.

    Braided Lines

    Same
  6. Sorry - yep, 322, not 325
  7. You may already have the 325mm rotors - pretty sure the turbos come with them now ("performance brakes") Mine were crap stock. Pad and rotor change and now perfect - am sure the pads made the biggest difference. I was in the same boat as you, hating the brakes but wanting to keep my rims. Was so relieved when a simple change totally fixed the issue.
  8. Would have thought they'd have the Red Bulls at home to try and get them running properly. Not sure if there's any more testing opportunities, but their last stint didn't go too well. (or was it a promo-demo car that was flown in, not a race car?)
  9. I reckon you could be pushing the limit there. First beers in a while for me tonight (40 degree day, so it was needed) - am trying to not post anywhere that could come back to haunt me (not just this forum - facebook is a killer if I've had a few)
  10. There's some quick cars running single spinners - so may not need to be top of the list Still running stock brakes? Even a pad change (I went to Bendix Ultimates) can make a huge difference - I went pads an rotors, but doubt the rotors make much of an impact (unless fading). Was a light and day difference. Maybe something else there if you're getting vibration/corrugated iron feel? If it was me then I'd get the brakes sorted if you're not happy with them - if it just needs pads then won't cost much and will still leave enough for your turbo/tune? Then go trutrac if traction is an issue?
  11. Are you unhappy with the brakes currently? If you are (like I was with the stockies then that'd be my first point of call) Having trouble with the single spinner? If you are then that's the next place I'd be looking prior to more power. If happy with the other two then go the turbo - the more power will let you know which one has become the next "must do"
  12. Hehe - the great Aussie tradition of a long weekend - even if you haven't started working yet
  13. Bloody hell - I bet the report took a couple of semi's to deliver Would be interested to hear your thought on speed limits in general and how they relate to "speed was a factor" in most accidents.
  14. Awesome news and work SDP, a step in the right direction What was your role in this (if we can ask)?

    Which Brake Pads

Replaced the stock pads/pads on my FG XR6T with Bendix Ultimates and T2's Absolutely hated the bite and slow stopping on the stockies - the Ultimates fixed it 100% Bit of dust and a bit of squeal when slowing to a stop (but it goes away for a while with some heavy breaking), but I wash the car often enough that the dust is a sign that they're doing their job rather than annoying. I do still need to find a long, empty road to bed the brakes in properly though - will be interesting to see how long til the squeak returns after.
  16. Fingers crossed for you Dags - going to be a bit of a shock to the system?
  17. Nah Angel - wasn't spam, just a link to an immature video clip. The thought of the weekend is making me feel good today - looks like a decent one too
  18. Yay for Friday Love having a long weekend, but hate working the week of one - same amount of work to do (sometimes more), but only 4 days to do it
  19. Stop depleting our gas
  20. This
  21. The Lost Room was a good watch (miniseries) I think it's either 3 or 6 episodes I think I'll give it another screening soon.
  22. Lol - yeah. Think I'm going to grab some for xmas pressies - even brilliant for a log fire/coonara etc
  23. Yep - no need for lighters at all - don't even need a match or flame. Within a few minutes I had a blazing pile of charcoal (was smoking fish, so only wanted a single spot going) Within 5-10 mins I could have had the whole BBQ firing and headed to 700 degrees. Was wrapped - have seen them on Amazon to $80plus. $40 from Bunnings was a no-brainer.
  24. Just got a looftlighter for lighting the charcoal in the BBQ. Absolutely brilliant tool - even has a bottle opener $39 at Bunnings (pic isn't my setup)
