  1. E-Ciggies for me - all the good bits (not that there are many) with none of the bad bits
  2. Don't use it so can't try but have seen a heap having troubles with it posting line breaks as <br> instead of a new line. Seems a common problem. Some suggest remove/reinstall tapatalk and it works Others say it needs to be on the server side - updated plugin and reloading IPB skins If the server side stuff has happened maybe try reinstalling tapatalk and seeing if it's fixed? edit: in before Dags posts suggesting uninstalling tapatalk and leaving it deleted
  3. Started years ago. Aussie cars were crap and cheap (not really crap, but not world standard) Foreign cars were expensive (overly so due to tarrifs etc) Public demanded (and got) a more equal footing on vehicle pricing with tariffs/restrictions getting removed. We then got crap foreign cars that were cheap. The foreign cars got better (and cheaper) - locally made cars didn't do much of either. We rested on out laurels - had a stage of huge wage rises (yay for us - nothing wrong with that) without a similar rise in productivity (boo - that's not good) Foreign manufacturing had the opposite - cars were cheaper to make and productivity went through the roof. Power/weight restrictions for P-platers meant the big V8 was something they no longer grew up dreaming of for their first car, so the Jap 4 cylinders became a thing they went after. A lot of the initial brand loyalty was lost right there. Didn't make much difference at the start, a whole generation is now starting to buy cars that don't have a dad who used to drive a HQ 308, a GT 351 or even a 5.0 VN Commadore or Falcon they were proud of. These kids haven't got the almost "footy team supporter" attitude to our local heroes - would be more likely to scoff and prefer a cheap civic or festiva. These are the ones that are now buying vehicles - Ford and Expensive Daewoo never started accounting for them. Hell - they didn't even account for me. I had absolutely no idea what the turbo 6 was capable of until I found an awesome dealer discount and looked further. So much political correctness these days means they can't highlight the strong points. They can't say "Hey - this car pushes 300hp out the rear wheels and can do the 1/4 in under 14 seconds" Instead they have to advertise safety features, towing capacity and economy. Yeah - a Toyota Camry has all those - great way to differentiate yourself dickheads. Add to that our stupid design rules. Why the hell our country (with a population of 23? million) can't get on board with acceptable standards from around the world is beyond me. Get in line and we could export products without having to do a total re-tool or spend squillions designing a product and production line that complies with both theirs as well as ours. Sure - everything needs to get globalised now, but if things were different and the companies and government lead instead of followed then we could have had a thriving car industry that had it's own, respected place on the world market. Instead we just dawdle along as we always have until the flame gets blown out.
  4. Yeah - I think that's the case - everyone's different. I can go 2 days without shaving, but still be presentable - someone else is hairy every afternoon despite shaving that day. Just need to work with what you have and work with what can be done with where it grows. Find one here that you like and doesn't need hair on the cheeks or under the lip and start trimming that way - or decide it's a lost cause
  5. Was going to suggest a neck beard, but it would have been cruel
  6. Wait til you hit puberty and start growing facial hair
  7. Yeah - sounds like the same boat as me. Not pretty (or ghey) enough to do the "hollywood stubble" thing, so it's either shave or put up with wearing a steelo on the chin till it grows enough. A goatee is always an option.
  8. Had my first run in with heat soak last night. After a couple of runs at Calder I was down about 3 mph from a consistent 107/108 down to 105. Once the temp dropped a couple of degrees and I'd opened the bonnet between runs it was back up to the 107's. (nothing flash - totally stock car)
  9. I do on and off. Scruffy for the first week or so, goes good for the next month then gets to an ugly stage where I need it to grow more to become where I want it. Usually get the sh*ts somewhere around there (or get a date) and decide to shave it off.
  10. The Skoda ICC will probably get even better Vodaphone reception in the roof too.
  11. I prefer to stream rather than download (unless it's a series I want to get all at once or keep for viewing) For my daily keeping up to date http://www.ch131.so/ is great - and has most of the current stuff I'm watching - is easy to see when a new episode is out. http://www.watchseries.to/ to find older series, or a couple of shows that aren't listed on CH131. Anything mentioned on this thread is likely to be on this site.
  12. They do sound like moaning ladies
  13. Now this is just getting ridiculous. The spam email from people asking you to join their charity drive: Just got one from somebody that was forwarding on one they got from someone they know. Even had this as the opening sentence: Please excuse the lack of personal touch to this email. I am sending it to everyone on my contacts list It wasn't even her I received it from - it was someone forwarding on the email he received to everyone on his contact list - I don't even know him, and definitely not the person who sent it to him. To top it all off - the 200 odd people he sent it too are all in the To: field, not even BCC'd. If it wasn't a work email it came through to I'd be doing a "reply all" and asking to be taken off the mailing list
  14. Am headed there tonight. If you see a silver FG with numbeplate "COMPEX" give me a holla
  15. Went to open the office thismorning and the bug sprayers are there - need to stay away for a few hours. Sweet - divert the phones to my mobile and back home for some forum surfing it is (via maccas for the brekkie wrap).

    Braided Lines

Am just happy to have some motivation to get braided lines. Discount on top would be a bonus. Chances are I won't chase it up myself til my stockies cark it or get spongey, but will be a definite if a few do it together
  17. Bit of both - will be a bit of a juggle for those still there trying to work out when to stay and when to go. "Should I leave with this wave with whatever package is offered and look for work in a bad environment or hope to stick it out til the end for a better package and look for work in a really, really bad environment?" Would be funny (sort of) if Ford have to advertise for workers at a point towards the end
  18. Sister looks a bit high maintenance Steve - got any cousins?
  19. You're meant to flush it, not put it back together - buy a new can of corn tomorrow
  20. We have a winner? Is it an FG? Nup - close though - what is it?
  21. Damn Couple of beers tonight (it was a hot day - don't judge me) and I've made some posts Will find out tomorrow what I said :S
  22. What's wrong with the current seat? If not structural then a trimmer could probably fix it using the skin you have. If it is then try to keep the skin you have and put it on a wreckers seat? If it's the material/cloth etc then it might be a case of them doing the best match they can.
